Pokémon TCG 30th Celebration Battle Deck Line: Every Deck and Promo Card (2026)
By Dexhaul Team · October 25, 2026 · 6 min read
Two battle decks. One choice between a Psychic Eeveelution and a Dark one.
The Pokémon TCG 30th Celebration Battle Decks launch October 30, 2026 (pokemon.com): Espeon ex and Umbreon ex, each a 60-card all-foil deck at $19.99 MSRP. Every deck in the line comes with a promo card exclusive to that product, one you cannot pull from any booster pack in the 30th Celebration set.
This is the complete guide to the line: what each deck contains, what the exclusive promos are, how the English release differs from the Japanese premium set, and which deck to buy first.
Every deck in the 30th Celebration Battle Deck line
The line currently covers two English releases, both launching together on October 30, 2026. A bundled Set of 2 ships alongside the individual decks. Pre-orders are live now from independent sellers, with observed prices above the official MSRP.
| Deck | Release date | MSRP | Exclusive promo | Contents | Status |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Espeon ex Battle Deck | Oct 30, 2026 | $19.99 (pokemon.com) | Victini promo | 60 foil cards, playmat, deck box, coin, damage counters | Pre-order |
| Umbreon ex Battle Deck | Oct 30, 2026 | $19.99 (pokemon.com) | Zeraora promo | 60 foil cards, playmat, deck box, coin, damage counters | Pre-order |
| Battle Deck Set of 2 | Oct 30, 2026 | Bundle | Both promos | Both decks combined | Pre-order |
The 30th Celebration Battle Decks sit in the Mega Evolution era of the TCG alongside the broader 30th Celebration product line. They are not a standard numbered set: the community designates them ME05.5, placing them between Pitch Black (ME05) and Delta Reign (ME06) in the Mega Evolution release calendar.

What each deck includes
Both decks share the same contents structure. Each is a ready-to-play 60-card deck where every card has foil treatment, which is unusual for a $19.99 sealed product. Standard battle decks use foil only on rares and above; here the all-foil treatment runs through the entire 60.
Beyond the cards, each deck includes a full-size playmat, a sturdy deck box, a plastic coin, and a set of damage counters. Everything you need to sit down and play is in the box.
The Espeon ex deck is built around the Psychic-type Eeveelution. Espeon ex leads the strategy, supported by a full supporting cast of Psychic-type Pokémon. The Umbreon ex deck runs Dark-type, with Umbreon ex at the head of a Night March-adjacent control strategy.
Both decks function as genuine introductions to competitive play. They are not stripped-down starter decks. The full Espeon ex vs Umbreon ex comparison breaks down the deck strategies, card-by-card differences, and which playstyle suits each buyer.
The exclusive promo cards
This is the detail that makes the 30th Celebration Battle Deck line different from every other battle deck release.
Every copy of the Espeon ex Battle Deck contains a Victini promo card. Every copy of the Umbreon ex Battle Deck contains a Zeraora promo card.
These promos do not appear in any 30th Celebration booster pack. The 30th Celebration card list (Serebii) confirms these are battle-deck-exclusive prints.
At $19.99 MSRP, the Espeon ex Battle Deck is the only certified path to the Victini promo, and the Umbreon ex Battle Deck is the only certified path to the Zeraora promo. No amount of booster pack opening closes that gap. If either promo matters to you as a collector, the deck is the only way to obtain it.
Buyers who want both promos can buy the Battle Deck Set of 2, which bundles one of each deck. Pre-order prices for the set of 2 run from $59.95 to $69.95 (observed October 25, 2026) as sellers price ahead of the official MSRP.
Telling versions apart
Three distinct products carry the "30th Celebration Espeon and Umbreon" branding. They are not the same thing.
English Battle Decks (this article)
The two separate English-language decks described above: Espeon ex and Umbreon ex, $19.99 MSRP each, launching October 30, 2026 in the United States and English-market countries. Sold individually or as a Set of 2.
Japanese Premium Deck Set (Espeon and Umbreon)
A separate Japanese-market product: the 30th CELEBRATION Premium Deck Set featuring both Espeon and Umbreon in one premium box. Sold through import channels, with observed prices of $126 to $199 (October 2026).
It has different card prints and a higher price tier. It is not an imported version of the English Battle Decks.
Chinese Deluxe Deck versions
Simplified Chinese versions of the Espeon ex and Umbreon ex decks also exist as "Deluxe Deck" releases. These are official licensed products for the Chinese market, distinct from the English releases. Watch for listing titles that say "Chinese" or "Simplified Chinese" to identify them.

As a holiday gift
The 30th Celebration Battle Decks launch exactly five days before Halloween and six weeks before peak gift-buying season. At $19.99 MSRP, each deck sits comfortably below the $25 threshold that makes a gift feel appropriate without being excessive.
The all-foil treatment and the full playmat raise the perceived value above what $19.99 usually buys in the TCG. Someone opening either deck will find a complete, ready-to-play set, not a stripped-down starter. For a younger player or a casual fan, it is a more complete gift than a booster pack assortment at a similar price point.
Both decks together for $59.95 (Set of 2, pre-order observed price, October 2026) make a strong combined gift for two players who want to play against each other immediately. The matchup is designed to be balanced. For more gift ideas across the full 30th Celebration lineup, see the Pokémon holiday gift guide for 2026.
