30th Celebration Mini Tins: Every Variant, What's Inside, and When to Pre-Order
By Dexhaul Team · September 1, 2026
The 30th Celebration Mini Tins are an affordable second wave of the anniversary product line, arriving October 2, 2026, with at least seven confirmed character variants and a price point that starts well under $30 at presale.
Each Mini Tin contains two booster packs from the 30th Celebration set and a sticker sheet. That's the whole box.
No promo card, no coin, no oversized card. For some collectors that sounds thin. But the format has a specific audience: anyone who wants 30th Celebration pulls without committing to an Elite Trainer Box or higher, anyone buying a gift for a casual fan, or anyone who simply wants the tin itself as a display piece featuring a favorite Pokémon.
Every Confirmed Mini Tin Variant
The full display box holds ten Mini Tins. Based on confirmed pre-order listings from multiple independent shops, the known variants include:
- Espeon (Day)
- Umbreon (Night)
- Lapras
- Mewtwo
- Moltres
- Zapdos
- Pikachu (Night)
Three additional variants fill out the ten-tin display. They have not been individually named in current pre-order listings, but sellers offering the full set of ten confirm the count.
Espeon and Umbreon are the two headliners, and they are the only variants sold individually under the "Day" and "Night" labels. The others ship as part of the full display or through sellers listing a random assortment.
Day Collection vs Night Collection
The naming is deliberate and it runs deeper than just Espeon and Umbreon.
The 30th Celebration set built its premium product line around a Day and Night theme: the Mew ex Ultra Premium Collection carries a "Day" designation while the Mewtwo ex UPC carries "Night." That same axis extends all the way down to the Mini Tins. The Day Collection groups the lighter-palette variants together; the Night Collection groups the darker ones. Espeon anchors Day; Umbreon anchors Night.
Poke-Collect offers both the Day Collection and the Night Collection as standalone five-tin sets at $179.95 each. Buying a collection gives you five of the ten variants as a matched set, already split by theme.
What to Expect Inside
Two 30th Celebration booster packs and one sticker sheet. Every tin, every variant.
The 30th Celebration set features Futuristic Rare cards as its chase tier, including the Mew ex and Mewtwo ex headliners. With two packs, you have two shots at those pulls. That is not a lot of opening value on its own, which is exactly why the Mini Tins work better as display pieces or gift items than as a pure pack-opening purchase.
If pulling cards is the primary goal, the Elite Trainer Box or Booster Bundle gives better pack-per-dollar ratios. The Mini Tin's case for itself is the tin, not the packs inside it.
Price Comparison Across Buying Options
The spread is wide, and it reflects seller positioning more than product variation.
At the low end, Cardboard Merchants has presale singles at $25.00. Realgoodeal lists both the Espeon and Umbreon individually at $34.95 with the October 2 release date confirmed. Booster Boyz shows $24.50 for a single at pre-order.
Once you move to Castle Games or Collection Realm, the same single tin runs $89.99 to $94.99. Those sellers are pricing at or above what the full-display wholesale price implies.
Which option makes the most sense
A single Espeon or Umbreon tin at $25–$35 is the right call if you want one specific Pokémon. The five-tin Day or Night Collection at $179.95 works if you want a thematic set without duplicates and do not care about the three mystery variants. The full display of ten at $143.99–$499.95 is the collector or gift-buyer route: you get everything, and the display box itself looks good on a shelf.
Paying $89.99 for a single tin that retails at $25–$35 elsewhere is harder to justify unless that specific seller offers faster shipping, local availability, or other fulfillment advantages you value.
Release Date and When to Pre-Order
October 2, 2026.
The Mini Tins land about two weeks after the September 16 Wave 1 launch. That is intentional: Wave 1 ships the Elite Trainer Boxes, UPCs, Booster Bundles, and Ex Tins. Wave 2 follows with the Mini Tins and other smaller formats.
The October date means pre-ordering now locks in your price before the September 16 wave sells out and draws wider attention to the 30th Celebration line as a whole.
Pre-orders are live across several sellers right now. The official retail price has not been formally announced by The Pokémon Company at time of writing, so current pre-order prices are seller estimates. The $25–$35 range aligns with what Mini Tins have historically retailed for in other product lines.
Who the Mini Tins Are For
Budget collectors who want something from the 30th Celebration line without spending $165 on an Elite Trainer Box.
Gift buyers looking for a Pokémon present that feels more deliberate than a loose booster pack but does not require a $50-and-up commitment. A $35 tin with a favorite character on it is a specific, thoughtful gift.
Display collectors. The tins are designed to be kept. The Espeon and Umbreon artwork carries the same Day/Night visual language used across the full 30th Celebration range, which makes them coherent shelf pieces alongside larger products from the same line.
They are a weaker fit for anyone whose primary goal is maximizing pack count per dollar, or for players who want to build a competitive deck. Two packs is two packs. For those buyers, the Booster Bundle or Battle Deck is a better use of the budget.
