August 28 is two days away. The Mega Forces Tins ship that day, and if you have not locked in a pre-order, here is what you need to know right now.
Three tins are launching simultaneously: Mega Darkrai ex, Mega Zeraora ex, and Mega Dragonite ex. Each is a standalone purchase, and they are also available as a bundled set of three.

Mega Zeraora ex Tin
Zeraora is a Gen VII Mythical from Alola, Electric type. It has never had a standard set print in the English TCG until recent Mega Evolution releases, which makes the Mega Zeraora ex promo one of the more sought-after cards in this launch. 401 Games in Canada has it listed at CA$39.95.
If you are buying from the US and considering 401 Games, factor in currency conversion. At recent exchange rates, CA$39.95 converts to roughly $29 to $30 USD, which is competitive with the Booster Boyz Darkrai price. Cross-border shipping costs and delivery windows should inform that decision.
Mega Dragonite ex Tin
Dragonite is a Gen I pseudo-legendary, Dragon and Flying type, and one of the most decorated Pokémon in TCG history. The Evolving Skies alt-art versions of Dragonite reached secondary market prices that reflected genuine collector demand. The Mega Dragonite ex tin brings the character into the Mega Evolution format for the first time.
Booster Boyz lists this at $32.50, placing it between the Darkrai ($29.95) and the CA$39.95 Zeraora on a price-per-tin basis. For Dragonite collectors specifically, this tin is the lowest-cost official Mega Evolution entry point for the character in the English market.
Set of 3 vs. Buying Individually: The Real Math
MHDEALSPLUS offers the full set of three tins for $89.95 USD, shipped together. At first glance, $89.95 for all three looks like a deal. The actual math is more nuanced.
Booster Boyz has the Darkrai at $29.95 and the Dragonite at $32.50, totaling $62.45 for those two. The 401 Games Zeraora at CA$39.95 adds a currency conversion step.
If the cross-border Zeraora order nets below $27.50 all-in after shipping, you come out ahead vs. the $89.95 bundle. That is a narrow margin and depends heavily on current exchange rates and each merchant's shipping fees.
For most buyers in the US, the set of 3 is the simpler and safer path. One order, one shipping charge, one tracking number, one expected delivery date. If you need all three tins and do not want to juggle multiple merchants, $89.95 is a reasonable consolidated price.
If you only want one or two tins, buying individually makes more sense on price. The collector who wants only the Dragonite ex has no reason to pay $89.95 for all three.
Sealed Case Option
Card Dynasty has a sealed case listed at $198.00 USD with a confirmed August 28 ship date. A sealed case is six tins (two of each character), which works out to $33 per tin before any shipping. The sealed-case format suits players who want to open product at launch, resellers, and collectors who prefer factory-sealed full runs.
It is not the right buy for someone who only wants a single promo card.
What Happens on August 28
Pre-orders ship on launch day. Delivery timelines after that depend on each merchant's fulfillment speed and your location. Merchants listing "pre-order" and "presale" products generally fulfill in the order they were received, so earlier pre-orders tend to ship first.
If you have not pre-ordered and are waiting to order at launch, availability at individual merchants may fluctuate.
