30th Celebration Knock Out Collection: Wave 1 vs Wave 2 and the Price Gap That Doesn't Mean What You Think
By Dexhaul Team · October 3, 2026
Wave 2 of the 30th Celebration Knock Out Collection is now available as a pre-order, and the price gap between waves is narrower than most listings make it look.
The short answer: Wave 1 is in stock right now at $29.95 and ships immediately. Wave 2 pre-orders are live, with prices ranging from $30.00 to $41.39 depending on the seller.
Both waves contain exactly the same product. If you want it now, buy Wave 1. If you are willing to wait until late October, the cheapest Wave 2 listing currently matches the Wave 1 floor.
What the Knock Out Collection Actually Contains
Before comparing waves, it helps to know what is in the box. The 30th Celebration Knock Out Collection includes one exclusive Eevee foil promo card and two 30th Celebration booster packs. That is the full contents.
The Eevee promo is not available as a pull from any booster pack. It is only obtainable through this specific product, making it the primary reason to buy this format over buying two loose packs separately.
According to the official 30th Celebration product page, the Knock Out Collection sits at the entry tier of the Wave 2 lineup. The Booster Bundle ($84.95 floor, 4 packs) and the ex Box sets sit above it in pack count, but the Knock Out Collection is the only sub-$35 sealed product in the entire Oct 2 wave that includes an exclusive promo.
Eevee is one of the most consistently merchandised Pokémon across the 30th Celebration set. As the Eevee Pokédex entry on Serebii confirms, its eight evolved forms make it a category anchor in almost every major Pokémon product lineup. The foil promo treatment here uses the 30th Celebration set's card frame, which distinguishes it from standard print-run Eevee cards.
Wave 1 vs Wave 2: The Full Price Picture
The "Wave 2" label is an allocation label, not a product variant.
Wave 1 units shipped around September 16, the 30th Celebration global launch date. They are now in stock at multiple sellers. Wave 2 refers to a second production run allocated through the same retail channels, expected to ship in late October 2026.
Here is what the current market looks like across both waves:
- Wave 1 floor: $29.95 (MHDEALSPLUS, in stock)
- Wave 1 range: $29.95 to $34.99
- Wave 2 floor: $30.00 (TruchaPokeShop, pre-order)
- Wave 2 range: $30.00 to $41.39
The key detail is that the Wave 2 floor ($30.00 at TruchaPokeShop) is essentially identical to the Wave 1 floor ($29.95 at MHDEALSPLUS). The $6 to $11 premium you see on other Wave 2 listings is a seller margin choice, not a product premium.
You are not paying more for a different or better product. You are paying more because that specific seller priced higher.
If you need the product before late October, Wave 1 is the only path. If you are flexible on timing and want to lock in a unit at floor price now without tracking stock, the $30.00 Wave 2 pre-order is a legitimate option. What you should not do is pay $36 or $41 for Wave 2 when Wave 1 is sitting at $29.95 right now.
Why the Price Range Is So Wide
The Knock Out Collection has an unusually wide spread for a mass-market sealed product. On one end, $29.95. On the other, $67.84 for what is functionally the same box.
Several things drive this:
Seller location and import costs
International sellers list in local currency with shipping assumptions built into the price. A 159 MYR listing from Malaysia, a 3,999 INR listing from India, and a 67.84 USD listing from a UK-based store all represent the same product with different cost structures for the buyer depending on their location.
Limit-per-customer rules at floor pricing
Several sellers at floor pricing carry a limit of one or four units per customer. The A&C Games listing at $36.00 explicitly says "Limit 1 Per Customer." The MHDEALSPLUS floor listing does not specify a limit in the product title. If you need multiple units, the per-unit economics shift.
Case listings change the per-unit cost
The Sports-card-zone 24-box case at $839.95 works out to $34.99 per unit. That is above the floor but below the mid-range singles pricing. For a local game store or anyone doing a group purchase of 10 or more units, the case is the most cost-effective path available right now.
The One Reason You Might Choose Wave 2 Over Wave 1 Right Now
There is a scenario where Wave 2 at $30.00 makes more sense than Wave 1 at $29.95: if the $30.00 Wave 2 pre-order seller is your preferred store and you want to lock in a confirmed unit without monitoring Wave 1 stock levels.
Wave 1 stock is not guaranteed to remain at floor. If MHDEALSPLUS sells through at $29.95, the next wave 1 unit available from another seller starts at $29.99 and steps up from there. Pre-ordering Wave 2 at $30.00 today guarantees a unit at essentially floor pricing regardless of what happens to Wave 1 availability.
The tradeoff is timing. Wave 2 ships late October, roughly three to four weeks from now. If you want the Eevee promo for a Pokémon card binder, a 30th Celebration display, or as a gift before late October, Wave 1 is the only option.
What This Box Does Not Do
The Knock Out Collection is not a pack-efficiency play. Two booster packs at $13.50 per pack (at the $29.95 floor, minus any value assigned to the Eevee promo) is at the higher end of per-pack cost in the 30th Celebration lineup. The Booster Bundle at $84.95 for four packs works out to $21.24 per pack, which is actually more expensive, but the 30th Celebration Binder Collection at $69.95 for roughly the same product footprint offers different collector value.
This box is the right choice when you specifically want the Eevee promo and two packs in a format that retails under $35. It is not the right choice if you are trying to maximize booster pack volume per dollar.
