Dragapult ex in 2026: League Battle Deck, Prismatic Evolutions SIR, and Shining Fates Sealed
By Dexhaul Team · September 7, 2026
Dragapult has two collector trajectories in 2026: sealed SWSH-era nostalgia and a live SV-era tournament product.
Players targeting the lowest-cost entry should start with the League Battle Deck, listed at $29.99 by at least one retailer while others charge $106 to $133 for the identical product.
Collectors building a singles portfolio have the Prismatic Evolutions Special Illustration Rare at 165/131, currently $109 to $120 raw and $289 in PSA 10.
SWSH-era sealed product remains available: the Shining Fates Shiny Dragapult VMAX Premium Collection trades between $122 and $160 at independent merchants right now. The three price points serve three entirely different buyer goals.
Who Is Dragapult?
Dragapult is Pokémon #887, a Ghost/Dragon-type pseudo-legendary introduced in Sword and Shield. It evolves from Dreepy through Drakloak and sits at the top of Galar's regional Dragon-type evolutionary line.
Its appeal to collectors is partly visual: Dragapult launches Dreepy offspring from cavities in its head, a mechanic illustrated on multiple TCG cards. Its Ghost typing also keeps it outside the Mega Evolution era entirely. Dragapult has no Mega form, which means every product on the market is SV- or SWSH-era, with no vintage Mega-era sealed product to compete for collector attention.
The SWSH Chapter: Rebel Clash and Shining Fates
Dragapult's first major TCG moment was the VMAX card in Rebel Clash (SWSH02, 2020). The card established it as a Ghost-type workhorse in the Standard format at the time.
Shining Fates changed the collector calculus.
The February 2021 set introduced Shiny Vault cards, and Dragapult's entry was the Shiny VMAX Premium Collection box, containing the Shiny Dragapult VMAX promo plus five Shining Fates booster packs.
Five years on, sealed copies still circulate at $82 to $160 depending on seller and condition. The Canadian Comic Bin lists it at $122; Derpy Cards at $133; 401 Games at $149.95 CAD.
The Shining Fates market has stabilized rather than collapsed. SWSH-era product with a genuine shiny promo tends to hold collector premium longer than standard sets. Buyers who want SWSH Dragapult sealed have a narrowing window: as copies get opened or move to graded slabs, the circulating supply shrinks.
The SV Era: Two Sets, Two Priorities
Dragapult returned in the Scarlet & Violet era with a different product structure. The Hydreigon ex & Dragapult ex Premium Collection paired it with another Dragon-type, offering two promo ex cards alongside eight booster packs. Multiple sellers list it at $88 to $114, making it the most accessible SV sealed product for Dragapult collectors.
Twilight Masquerade (SV06, May 2024) gave Dragapult ex a full set appearance: 130/167 as a Double Rare and 200/167 as an Ultra Rare. Both are available as singles, with the Double Rare at $1.60 to $2.50 and the Ultra Rare between $13 and $14.
The most significant SV-era Dragapult card sits in Prismatic Evolutions (SV08a, January 2025).
Prismatic Evolutions is widely recognized as the most sought-after SV-era set, with its Eeveelution Special Illustration Rares driving most of the collector conversation. What many buyers overlook: Dragapult ex 165/131 is also a SIR in PE.
Raw copies are $105 to $120 across multiple sellers. A PSA 10 example from Mintink is listed at $289.
The PE SIR is the Dragapult card that benefits most from the set's ongoing collector demand. Buyers who focused exclusively on Eeveelutions may have passed over it, but the supply dynamic is identical: PE packs are no longer in print, and SIR pulls from those packs are fixed.
The League Battle Deck: Know What You Are Paying For
The Dragapult ex League Battle Deck is a ready-to-play 60-card competitive deck built around Dragapult ex. It is a player product, not a collector product. There are no exclusive promo cards and no booster packs inside.
That pricing context matters enormously. The same deck is listed at $106 from RookieLegends and $133 from POKÉ JEUX.
The standard retail price for a League Battle Deck is $29.99 to $34.99. Buyers landing on a premium listing are overpaying by $70 to $100 for an identical product.
If your goal is building a competitive Dragapult deck or testing the archetype before investing in individual cards, the $29.99 listing is the correct entry point.
Beyond Cards: Merchandise and Figures
Dragapult has a small but consistent merchandise footprint. The Sanei Boeki All Star Collection plush is the most widely recognized Dragapult collectible outside TCG: a Japan-official plush retailing around $37 to $50 at independent merchants.
For figure collectors, the Dragapult Moncolle MS-41 (Yeti Gaming, $10) and the Swing Vignette 2 figure (Anime Sekai, $25) are both in stock. Dragapult's elongated form translates unusually well to three-dimensional figures, making the Moncolle a popular desk piece.
The Collector Decision Framework
Dragapult collecting in 2026 breaks down cleanly by budget and goal.
Under $30: The League Battle Deck
Players entering the Dragapult ex archetype should start with the League Battle Deck at its standard retail price of $29.99. Skip any listing above $50 for this product.
$85 to $115: The SV Premium Collection
The Hydreigon ex & Dragapult ex Premium Collection at $88 to $114 is the best SV-era sealed format for Dragapult. Eight booster packs plus two exclusive promo cards at a price still below what PE sealed commands. Moons and Mists has it at $88, which is the floor across current listings.
$109 to $130: The Prismatic Evolutions SIR
The 165/131 SIR is the Dragapult card most likely to appreciate alongside PE's ongoing demand. Raw copies are accessible now. A PSA 10 submission adds roughly $160 to $180 in cost before grading fees, making the $289 PSA 10 listing a meaningful premium over the raw alternative.
$120 to $160: Shining Fates Sealed
The Shiny Dragapult VMAX Premium Collection is a SWSH-era sealed product that has held its value. Buyers in this tier want the nostalgia angle and the physical sealed box. The spread ($122 to $160) reflects seller premiums rather than product differences: all sealed copies contain the same contents.
