Ghost-Type Pokémon Plush for Halloween 2026: Haunted Chateau, Pokémon fit, and the Gengar Lineup
By Dexhaul Team · September 16, 2026
September is when Ghost-type Pokémon plush are still at their floor prices.
The Pokémon Center's annual Ghost Chateau seasonal series ships in limited runs. Once importer stock depletes, prices on secondary listings follow demand upward through October. Buying the characters you want now, in the third week of September, is the documented low-cost window before that shift.
This guide covers the three categories that matter most: the Ghost Chateau annual series, the Pokémon fit Ghost-type lineup available through importers, and the Gengar plush range from budget entry to collector-tier. All products listed here are currently in stock across independent shops.
The Ghost Chateau Series: Annual, Not Evergreen
Pokémon Center Japan releases a new Ghost Chateau seasonal lineup each year for Halloween. It is not a permanent product line.
Pikachu appears in a ghost costume every year as the anchor character. The supporting cast changes annually.
The 2026 lineup adds Cyndaquil, Teddiursa, Noibat, and Drifloon alongside Pikachu. Prior-year supporting cast members are not restocked once their year's run sells through. A 2024 Gengar Halloween event plush from Universal Studios Japan lists at $82.99 used today.
The 2026 Pikachu Ghost Chateau plush shows a $40-$83 price spread across four active listings for the identical product (approximately 15 x 13 x 24 cm, Pokémon Center Japan provenance). Yeti Gaming and Kayfabe Online list at $40 and $39.99, the current floor. ToyCartUSA is at $83.29.
All four are the same plush. The gap is seller-set margin, not a condition or authenticity variable.
The four supporting cast members available right now: Cyndaquil at $37.98 (Galaxy Base Japan), Teddiursa at $37.98 (Galaxy Base Japan), Noibat at $46.98 (Galaxy Base Japan), and a Pikachu and Drifloon plush keychain pair at $29.99 via Kayfabe Online. None of these appear in domestic Western retail. All are Pokémon Center Japan exclusives available only through import channels.
The supporting cast characters are only accessible at their base price while the 2026 run is active. Once the importer stock depletes, the secondary market floor for individual characters tends to sit above the original import price point.
Ghost-Type Pokémon fit: What's in Stock for 2026
The Pokémon fit line from Pokémon Center Japan covers all registered Pokémon species in National Pokédex order. It is a standardized small-scale plush format, roughly 3-4 inches, designed for consistency across the full roster.
Ghost-type entries are well-represented and several are currently in stock through importers at $17-$30. These do not appear in Western retail chains. The Pokémon Center Japan exclusivity means importers are the only channel available to collectors outside Japan.
Mismagius (No. 429, introduced in Gen 4) is available at $20 via Ichiba Japan and $17.10 via Japan Figure Store, with Collector Store LLC listing the same product at $24.99. The spread exists because these are separate importer listings for the same Pokémon Center Japan plush.
Dusknoir (#477) sits at $21 via Ichiba Japan and $24.99 at Collector Store LLC. Duskull (#355) is in stock at $24.99 at Common Lands.
Gengar (#094) is covered in detail in the next section. These three, alongside Gengar, are the most active Ghost-type Pokémon fit listings in the catalogue right now.
Mismagius and Dusknoir are particularly notable for collectors who want Ghost-type representation without the Gengar saturation that dominates this category. Both are single-stage evolutions (Misdreavus evolving via Dusk Stone; Dusclops evolving via Reaper Cloth) and both have significantly fewer plush options than Gengar across all formats. The Pokémon fit version is often the only affordable, in-production option for either character.
Gengar: The Full Plush Range from $14.99 to $70
Gengar is the most merchandised Ghost-type in Pokémon, and the plush category reflects that across four distinct price and format tiers.
The entry point is a 7" standard plush at $14.99 via Rock 30 Games. The Pokémon fit Gengar sits at $21 (Ichiba Japan) to $24.99 (Common Lands), the standardized Pokémon Center Japan small-scale format.
The official Pokémon Center Gengar Poké Plush at 7.5 inches lists at $56.29 via ToyCartUSA. Mega Gengar, in a larger Pokémon Center format, runs $70 at Yeti Gaming.
The Gengar seasonal event plush market follows the same pattern as Ghost Chateau: discontinued seasonal designs hold premiums above the in-production lineup. A 2010 Pokémon Diamond and Pearl era Halloween Gengar plush lists at $56.99 used today.
A 2024 Universal Studios Japan Halloween event-exclusive Gengar sits at $82.99 used. Neither design is restocked.
The practical implication: if Gengar appears in the 2027 Ghost Chateau supporting cast or in a new event-exclusive format, the current in-production plush at $14.99-$70 represents the price window. Past event Gengars have not returned to those original price points.
The Seasonal Buying Window
Ghost Chateau items are annual, not permanent. Pokémon Center Japan does not reissue a prior year's lineup. Once the 2026 supporting cast (Cyndaquil, Teddiursa, Noibat, Drifloon) sells through import stock, those specific products exit at their floor price and the next available source is the secondary market.
The Ghost type occupies a narrow seasonal window for collector demand. Search activity for "halloween pokémon plush" is measurably higher in October than in September.
What that means in practice: the floor on Ghost Chateau and Ghost-type seasonal plush in importer listings tends to sit at its current level in mid-September, before the October demand curve lifts it. Dexhaul is independent and unofficial; this is observational context from current listing data, not a guarantee about future prices.
The Pokémon fit Ghost-types (Mismagius, Dusknoir, Duskull, Gengar) are not seasonal products, but they do not appear in Western retail, which keeps active listing volume low and restocking unpredictable.
