Oshawott and Samurott Collector's Guide 2026: White Flare's Four-Tier Spread and the Hisuian Cards Worth a Look

White Flare gives Oshawott four distinct price tiers within a single 86-card set. That range runs from $1.99 for a base rare up to $112 for a graded copy of the same Art Rare variant, without touching plush or any other format. If you're collecting the Unova Water starter right now, knowing where each tier sits and what drives the gap is the whole game.

This guide covers the full White Flare picture for both Oshawott and Samurott, the Hisuian forms that most collectors have underpriced, and every plush option in stock.

Oshawott is Pokédex No. 501 and Samurott No. 503, introduced in Generation V as the Unova region's Water-type starter line.

The White Flare Tier Map for Oshawott

White Flare (SV11W) is organized so Oshawott appears at multiple rarity levels in the same set. The lowest entry is the 018/086 or 021/086 base print at $1.99, with no premium foil treatment. It's the cheapest current-set Oshawott you can buy.

Step up and you hit Oshawott 102/086, the above-set-number Art Rare. This card carries full-bleed art and trades between $29.25 (TCG Best Value Collectibles) and $61.00 (Captured! Cards).

The spread is seller-margin differential, not a grading or variant difference. Same card, same condition floor: multiple storefronts simply price it differently.

The 105/086 Oshawott is the Illustration Rare. It commands $90.52 to $92.99 raw across current listings.

The artwork is distinct from the 102/086, and the rarity designation places it one tier higher in the SV-era above-set hierarchy. The 105/086 is the chase version of Oshawott in this set.

Then there's the graded tier. Weedles Warehouse has a CGC 10 copy of the 102/086 White Flare Oshawott at $112.51.

That's the ceiling right now, for a card whose raw floor sits at $29. The raw-to-CGC-10 gap is roughly 4x, consistent with early SV-era Art Rares before population builds.

What makes this unusual is that all four tiers sit inside one recently launched set. No English Oshawott has ever had this kind of intra-set price architecture before.

Samurott's White Flare Cards

Samurott mirrors the structure. The 020/086 base print goes for $1.99, and the 023/086 Holo Rare is similarly priced.

The Art Rare at 104/086 already appears at $80 graded PSA 10 from Aloha Card Shop. The Illustration Rare at 107/086 trades between $49.99 and $56.99 raw in English copies.

One thing worth flagging: standard Samurott has no V, VMAX, VSTAR, or ex card in any English main-series set. None.

The entire V-era and SV-era ladder for this character runs through the Hisuian regional form only. If you're searching for a Samurott V or VSTAR in English, you're looking for Hisuian Samurott specifically.

The Hisuian Line and Its Underpriced Cards

Hisuian Samurott flips the character's entire type identity. Standard Samurott is pure Water. Hisuian Samurott is Water and Dark, introduced in Pokémon Legends: Arceus.

The design shifts from the naval-officer aesthetic of the standard form to something darker and more feral. For collectors, this creates two distinct versions of the same character with completely separate card pools.

Pokémon Center Sitting Cuties Samurott Plush #503

$56.29 USD

The Hisuian Samurott VSTAR SAR 230/172 from S12a VSTAR Universe is the most structurally interesting card in the whole line right now. SUPER TCG JAPAN has it raw at $9.14.

That price puts a Special Art Rare from the SWSH High Class Pack era in a tier most collectors overlook. The PSA 10 version commands $47.58 to $92.99 depending on the slab source: a raw-to-graded spread of 5 to 10x.

Crown Zenith GG51/GG70 Hisuian Samurott V Full Art is similarly quiet. CardActivity lists it at $19.15 raw. The PSA 10 from LegendsSportsGames is $105.00.

That's a 5.5x raw-to-graded ratio on a full-art card from a high-attention set. If you're grading modern cards, this is worth noting before raw population compresses the margin.

The entry point for Hisuian Samurott is the Black Star Promo SWSH207, included with Astral Radiance products. Bago's Breaks has it at $3.00 raw. It's the cheapest in-circulation card featuring the Hisuian form, and it's genuinely scarce compared to standard promos given how many collectors opened Astral Radiance product for Hisuian Typhlosion VSTAR.

BW Era: The Vintage Anchor

The Black and White base set Samurott 32/114 Holo Rare holds at $1.30 raw from PunkOuter Games. It's the original 2011 Samurott Holo print, and the floor is almost comically accessible given the character's current presence in White Flare. If you're building a timeline collection for the line, this is the BW-era anchor.

Oshawott 27/114 from the same BW set sits at under CA$1 at 401 Games. These are true commons from the first Unova TCG releases. Neither card is a valuable collector item, but both serve as the historical starting point for anyone building a complete Oshawott or Samurott card set across eras.

The McDonald's 2011 Oshawott 4/12 promo at $15 (Dungeon Comics) is the first Oshawott promo card and the only one tied to a non-TCG distribution channel from that era. It uses a different art than the BW set commons and is consistently overlooked by collectors focused on White Flare.

Plush Options, Tiered

The plush line for Oshawott is deeper than most Unova starters. Four formats are currently in stock across multiple sellers.

Pokémon fit Samurott No.503 Plush (Japanese Pokémon Center Exclusive)

$24.99 USD

The Pokémon fit Oshawott from Ichiba Japan is $17.00. It uses the seated compact pose shared across the fit line.

The Mascot plush with carabiner is $20.00 from the same seller, a smaller keychain-format item with a different design. Both are Japanese market exclusives available through the importer.

The Squishmallows Oshawott 10" plush from Booghe is $27.00. This is part of the Jazwares x Pokémon Squishmallows collaboration, and Oshawott is one of the Gen 5 characters included. It uses the soft marshmallow-style material instead of the structured pose of the Fit line.

Sitting Cuties covers both characters. Oshawott runs $48.64 to $52.49 at ToyCartUSA depending on the listing. Samurott Sitting Cuties is $56.29 from the same seller.

The 6-inch seated format is consistent across both. Samurott sits at a small premium reflecting lower supply relative to Oshawott at this format tier.

The Hisuian Samurott Poké Plush at 14½ inches is the largest format currently available for this line. At $92.75 from ToyCartUSA, it's significantly larger than the Fit and Sitting Cuties options and uses the Hisuian form design. Standard Samurott does not have an equivalent large-format Poké Plush in current circulation.

Where Each Collector Type Should Start

Budget entry for the card line: the White Flare 018/086 or 021/086 at $1.99 is the cheapest current-set card, plus the BW common at under a dollar as the vintage anchor. Together that's under $3 and covers both eras.

Mid-tier card target: the White Flare 102/086 Art Rare at $29.25 from TCG Best Value Collectibles is the most accessible above-set-number card for the character. It's the same card available at $61 elsewhere, so sourcing matters here more than usual.

If grading is on the table, the Hisuian Samurott VSTAR SAR 230/172 at $9.14 raw is the most interesting structural opportunity in this line. It's a SWSH High Class Pack SAR at a price below typical modern commons in some sets. The population is not fully built out, and raw-to-graded spreads at this rarity tier have historically compressed as slab counts increase.

Plush collectors have a clear entry sequence: Pokémon fit Oshawott at $17, Sanei All Star Collection Oshawott at $29.99 if you want a larger standing pose, and the Hisuian Samurott Poké Plush at $92.75 as the display-tier flagship.
