Poképeace (2026): Every Plush and Product in the Line

Poképeace is the Japanese licensed plush line built around six cozy-lifestyle characters: Pikachu, Piplup, Scorbunny, Rowlet, Espurr and Pichu. It is made by Takara Tomy A.R.T.S. and sold through Pokémon Center Japan.

That matters because many buyers assume The Pokémon Company produces all official plush in-house. Takara Tomy A.R.T.S. is a separate subsidiary of Takara Tomy that handles toy and plush production for vending machines, crane games and licensed retail, and the Poképeace line is one of its dedicated Pokémon Center retail series.

The line launched in early 2024 with the original six characters. Since then the roster has expanded to include Plusle, Munchlax, Mimikyu and Tandemaus. Several sub-lines now exist: Sleeping, Sweets, Mellow Heart, Together with Plush and Mofugutto.

Prices range from around $13 for a small fluffy mascot to $66 for a large sleeping plush, observed at independent shops in October 2026.

To start: the Rowlet Standard at $18.00 is the lowest entry price in the line. Piplup Standard at $23.00 is the most widely stocked.

The table below covers confirmed characters and sub-lines available through independent shops as of October 2026. Prices are observed storefront prices, not MSRPs; exact figures vary by seller and stock levels.

Espurr is the only non-starter in the original six. Its inclusion reflects fan enthusiasm for the character rather than a starter-only design brief: the wide-eyed "what did I just hear" expression has been a fan favorite since the X and Y era. That context tells you something about how the line picks its roster.

Where to start with Poképeace

Rowlet Standard: the lowest entry price

The small Rowlet ($18.00 at Ichiba Japan, observed October 9, 2026) is the most affordable confirmed in-stock option in the line. It sits in the round, compact pose shared across all standard Poképeace plush.

A medium Rowlet runs about $27.00 and has a noticeably larger profile. Both display upright without a stand.

Pikachu Standard: the widest sub-line range

Pikachu has the most sub-lines of any character: Standard, Sleeping, Sweets, Mellow Heart, Mofugutto and Mecha Mofugutto are all confirmed. The Standard at $32.00 is the obvious starting point, but the Mofugutto version ($23.00 at Joe's Japan Plushies, observed October 9, 2026) is a compelling alternative: its ultra-soft texture is noticeably different from the standard finish.

Espurr Mellow Heart: the most distinctive variant

The Espurr Mellow Heart mascot ($30.00 at Joe's Japan Plushies, observed October 9, 2026) is the variant most specific to this line. The Mellow Heart sub-line adds a heart-shaped accent to the design; it does not appear in the Sanei All Star Collection or Pokémon Fit ranges.

The "Together with Plush" version ($42.00) pairs a mascot-scale figure with a miniature attached Poképeace plush. That format is also unique to this line and makes it visually distinct from other official import series.

Poképeace sub-lines explained

The Poképeace line uses consistent sub-line naming across characters. Knowing the names saves time when searching import shops.

Standard: The original sitting or standing pose, smaller profile. These are the base wave for each character and typically the most affordable.

Sleeping (Ver.): Lying-down poses, wider and flatter than standard. Pikachu, Piplup, Pichu and Rowlet each have a confirmed Sleeping version. They run $35–$66 and display differently on shelves.

Sweets (Ver.): Characters with food-themed accessories. Pikachu and Piplup Sweets versions are confirmed at $39.00 each (observed October 9, 2026). Check listings carefully: the word "Sweets" appears in the product title.

Mellow Heart: Mascot-size with a heart-shaped accent. Espurr and Pikachu have confirmed Mellow Heart versions. This is one of the sub-lines most likely to be copied by unlicensed sellers, so verify tags.

Together with Plush Ver.: A mascot figure bundled with a miniature plush version of the same character. Piplup, Espurr and Mimikyu are confirmed. The naming format in product listings is always "[Character] (Together with Plush Ver.) Pokepeace Plush Mascot."

Mofugutto / Mecha Mofugutto: Extra-fluffy texture Pikachu versions at $23–$25. The material difference is tactile rather than visual: the silhouette matches the standard, but the pile is significantly softer. These are Pikachu-only sub-lines in the current lineup.

Spot the real thing: tags and JAN codes

Genuine Poképeace pieces carry a Takara Tomy A.R.T.S. hang tag with a JAN barcode on the underside: a 13-digit number beginning with 4904790, the manufacturer prefix registered to Takara Tomy A.R.T.S. for licensed Pokémon goods.

Unofficial versions circulate under names like "PokePiece" or "PokepeACE" with slightly shifted color saturation and shorter copyright text on the tag. The JAN code is the fastest check: counterfeit listings rarely reproduce these correctly. For a full walkthrough, see the guide to spotting fake Pokémon products.

The line is also sold by various Banpresto sub-lines (Ichiban Kuji, Hopepita, Starry Night) under license. Those pieces carry Banpresto branding, not Takara Tomy A.R.T.S., and are also official. Check the product title for the manufacturer name before comparing prices between sellers.

Display, care, and sizing

Standard Poképeace plush sit at roughly 10–14 cm in height. The Sleeping versions are wider and lower, around 18–22 cm across the longest axis. Most standard pieces display well alongside Pokémon Fit plush, which share a similar chibi proportion but have a lighter construction.

The hang tag care symbols on official pieces indicate surface wash only. Do not machine wash: the fill and outer fabric are not designed for submersion.

Spot clean with a damp cloth and allow to air dry away from direct sunlight.

Poképeace as a Q4 gift

Standard characters from $18–$32 are a straightforward gift tier for Pokémon fans of any age. The Sleeping Piplup ($36.00) or Sleeping Pikachu ($35.00) are step-up options with a more distinctive silhouette that reads as a deliberate pick rather than a generic plush.
