Is Evolving Skies Getting a Reprint (2026)
By Dexhaul Team · October 30, 2026 · 5 min read
No Evolving Skies reprint for 2026 has been officially announced.
Sword and Shield's seventh expansion released on August 27, 2021, and The Pokémon Company has not confirmed any plans to bring it back to print. As of October 30, 2026, sealed ETBs from independent sellers start above $500, placing the set well out of reach for anyone expecting standard retail prices.
If you are waiting for a reprint to pick up Eeveelution cards at a reasonable price, the short answer is: there is nothing to wait for. Read on for what you actually have, what current products fill the gap, and how you will know if that ever changes.

Evolving Skies editions: what was released
Evolving Skies (SWSH07) shipped in four product types at launch, all on August 27, 2021. Each has been out of standard production since the Sword and Shield era ended. See our ETB vs Booster Bundle guide for how these formats compare.
| Product | Variants | Release date | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard Elite Trainer Box | Leafeon, Umbreon, Jolteon, Flareon | August 27, 2021 | Out of print |
| Pokémon Center ETB | Vaporeon, Espeon, Glaceon, Sylveon | August 27, 2021 | Out of print |
| Booster Box (36 packs) | Standard | August 27, 2021 | Out of print |
| Booster Bundle (6 packs) | Standard | August 27, 2021 | Out of print |
The set split all eight Eeveelution V cards across the two ETB variants: the Pokémon Center edition held Vaporeon, Espeon, Glaceon, and Sylveon, while the standard edition had Leafeon, Umbreon, Jolteon, and Flareon. Completing both promos requires buying both boxes. Rayquaza VMAX and Duraludon VMAX are the headline pulls from booster packs.
Is an Evolving Skies reprint confirmed for 2026?
No. The Pokémon Company has made no announcement. Sword and Shield is a completed product era, replaced by the current Mega Evolution and Scarlet and Violet lines.
New products in those lines are what Pokémon is actively promoting. Evolving Skies is not part of any current roadmap.
When reprints do happen, the announcement comes through the official Pokémon news page or a Pokémon Center product listing. No such listing exists for Evolving Skies. You can monitor pokemon.com/us/pokemon-news/ for any change.
What you should not do: treat forum speculation or social media rumors as confirmation. Every credible reprinting in recent years has had an official press release or product listing before it shipped.
What to buy instead right now
Three current options cover different parts of why collectors want Evolving Skies. One is priced near original ETB levels; one targets Eeveelution content directly; one is the most budget-friendly current-era choice.
Prismatic Evolutions (SV8.5) for Eeveelution content
Released January 17, 2025, Prismatic Evolutions is the most Eeveelution-focused set in the TCG since Evolving Skies. All eight Eeveelutions appear as ex cards, with Illustration Rare and Special Illustration Rare variants across the set. The ETB is currently available from independent sellers at a fraction of what Evolving Skies ETBs fetch today.
Mega Evolution Perfect Order ETB (ME03) for current-era value
The third Mega Evolution set ships an ETB at prices close to what standard ETBs cost at original MSRP. If your primary concern is opening packs at a reasonable price rather than specific Eeveelution pulls, a current-era Mega Evolution ETB gives you active-set content at current print prices.
Pitch Black (ME05) for a budget-friendly current pick
The fifth Mega Evolution set offers one of the most straightforward entry points in the current era. Under $75 from independent sellers, it lets you open current-era Mega Evolution booster packs without secondary market pricing.
To put the price gap in concrete terms: at observed October 30, 2026 prices, one sealed Evolving Skies ETB at $504 costs roughly the same as nine Perfect Order ETBs. Buying nine ETBs from a current set would give you 72 booster packs; one Evolving Skies ETB gives you 8.
How you will know if a reprint is announced
Check pokemon.com/us/pokemon-news/ directly. Every official TCG product announcement appears there first, with a confirmed street date and MSRP.
You can also monitor Serebii's Evolving Skies page for any updates. When a reprint is confirmed, retail listings at Pokémon Center and major sellers will follow quickly with a product page and pre-order option.
Until those listings appear, any claim of an imminent reprint is unconfirmed.
Frequently asked questions
Was Evolving Skies ever reprinted?
No. The set released on August 27, 2021, and as of October 2026 has not received a reprint. All editions (standard ETB, Pokémon Center ETB, booster box, booster bundle) remain out of standard production.
When did Evolving Skies come out?
Evolving Skies (SWSH07) launched in North America on August 27, 2021, per Serebii. It was the seventh expansion in the Sword and Shield series.
Why is Evolving Skies so expensive?
The set split all eight Eeveelution V promo cards across two ETB variants: the standard edition and the Pokémon Center edition. Collectors wanting a complete Eeveelution set needed both, driving demand above supply. With no reprint, sealed secondary market prices have held well above the original retail price.
What Pokémon are in Evolving Skies?
The set features all eight Eeveelutions as V cards (four per ETB variant), Rayquaza VMAX, Duraludon VMAX, and a broad Dragon-type focus. The full card list is available on Serebii's Evolving Skies page.
Is Evolving Skies worth buying at secondary market prices?
That depends on what you want from it. For Eeveelution ex content at a lower cost, Prismatic Evolutions (SV8.5, January 2025) covers the same characters as a current-print set.
For Rayquaza VMAX specifically, the secondary market is the only option. For general pack-opening value, current-era ETBs at or near MSRP are the practical choice.
