Nihil Zero (M3): January 23, 2026

Nihil Zero launched on January 23, 2026, the first Japanese expansion of the new year, with 124 cards in the set.

It is the only 2026 Mega Evolution era JP expansion with no confirmed English release. For context: Ninja Spinner (M4) released March 13 and its EN set arrived May 22, a 10-week gap. Abyss Eye (M5) released May 22 and Pitch Black (ME05) arrived July 17, an 8-week gap.

Following that pattern, an M3 EN set would have landed in late March or early April 2026. No announcement came.

As of October 2026, Nihil Zero cards cannot be used in English-format sanctioned play because no EN version of those cards exists yet.

Ninja Spinner (M4): March 13, 2026

Ninja Spinner (M4) released on March 13, 2026, with 124 cards.

Its English counterpart is Chaos Rising (ME04), which released May 22, 2026, a 10-week localization window. Ninja Spinner is a 1:1 mapping to Chaos Rising, meaning the full JP card pool appears in the EN set without merging or splitting. Import boxes are available from multiple sellers, with prices observed October 8, 2026 below the EN Chaos Rising booster box.

Abyss Eye (M5): May 22, 2026

Abyss Eye (M5) released on May 22, 2026, with 124 cards and a confirmed 1:1 mapping to Pitch Black (ME05).

Pitch Black (ME05) released July 17, 2026, eight weeks after the JP set. The gap for M5 was the shortest in the 2026 standard expansion cycle, and the JP-to-EN card pool is confirmed complete: every M5 card appears in Pitch Black. JP import boxes at $65.00 observed October 8, 2026 come in at roughly half the price of a new Pitch Black EN booster box from import sellers.

Storm Emeralda (M6): July 24, 2026

Storm Emeralda is the largest standard JP expansion of 2026 at 190 cards, 66 more than the M3-M5 trio. It released on July 24, 2026.

The English counterpart is Delta Reign (ME06), launching November 6, 2026. That is a 105-day JP-to-EN gap, more than twice the standard 8-10 weeks seen for M4 and M5.

The wider window reflects the larger set size. For a full breakdown of pack counts, per-card prices, and play legality differences, see the Storm Emeralda import guide on DexHaul.

Import boxes are in stock now, before the EN Delta Reign launch. The EN release date is sourced from official Pokémon TCG preorder pages, confirmed October 8, 2026.

30th Celebration (M6A): September 16, 2026

The 30th Celebration set (M6A) is a special anniversary release, not a standard expansion slot. It released in Japan on September 16, 2026, with 190 cards, and is listed on Limitless TCG's JP set registry as M6A.

The English side is structured differently from a standard booster set. The Pokémon Company released 30th Celebration EN products as specialty formats: Battle Decks, Elite Trainer Boxes, and anniversary collections, rather than a direct booster box equivalent.

The 30th Celebration Battle Decks EN (Espeon ex and Umbreon ex) launch October 30, 2026. JP M6A import booster boxes run $189–$441 observed October 8, 2026, depending on seller and condition.

Confirmed vs reported: Aura Seeker and the end of 2026

One more JP set is reported for 2026. PokeBeach and PokeGuardian have reported a JP expansion currently known as Aura Seeker for a November 27, 2026 release. No official announcement has been made by The Pokémon Company as of October 8, 2026.

"Reported" means the date and name are sourced from community outlets with a track record of accurate leaks, not from an official product page. DexHaul will not add Aura Seeker to this schedule until The Pokémon Company confirms the date and name officially. If confirmed, it would be the M7 slot in the Mega Evolution series, with an English counterpart expected in early 2027.

JP vs EN: pack structure and play legality

Standard JP booster boxes (M3, M4, M5) hold 30 packs of 5 cards each, totaling 150 cards per box. Standard EN boxes hold 36 packs of 10 cards, totaling 360 cards. A JP box at $65 versus an EN box at $130 is not an equivalent value comparison on raw card count alone.

High-class packs (the M6A 30th Celebration format) match EN structure more directly at 10 packs of 10 cards each.

Play legality: JP-language cards become legal in sanctioned EN-format events the day the EN equivalent set releases. M3 (Nihil Zero) cards have no EN release, so they cannot be used in EN-format tournaments.

M4 and M5 are now legal. M6 will be legal November 6, 2026 when Delta Reign launches. This is covered in detail in the full JP-EN set mapping guide.

Frequently asked questions

What Japanese Pokémon TCG sets came out in 2026?
Five: Nihil Zero (M3, January 23), Ninja Spinner (M4, March 13), Abyss Eye (M5, May 22), Storm Emeralda (M6, July 24), and 30th Celebration (M6A, September 16). All dates are per Serebii's card database.
Which 2026 JP sets have an English version?
Four of five confirmed sets do: Ninja Spinner maps to Chaos Rising (ME04, May 22), Abyss Eye maps to Pitch Black (ME05, July 17), and Storm Emeralda maps to Delta Reign (ME06, November 6). Nihil Zero (M3) has no confirmed English release as of October 2026.
