Journey Together Elite Trainer Box (SV09): Contents, MSRP and Pack Count (2026)
By Dexhaul Team · October 13, 2026 · 7 min read
The Journey Together Elite Trainer Box contains 9 booster packs from the Scarlet & Violet Journey Together (SV09) expansion, one full-art foil promo card featuring N's Zorua, 65 card sleeves, 45 Energy cards, six damage-counter dice, a competition-legal coin-flip die, and a player's guide. The set released March 28, 2025, with an MSRP of $49.99 USD. Independent shops list the standard ETB from around $97 to $206 USD as of October 13, 2026.
Two versions of the Journey Together ETB exist. The standard edition features N's Zorua. The Pokémon Center exclusive edition carries a completely different promo card and typically sells for significantly more.
If the specific promo matters to you, knowing which version a listing shows before ordering saves an expensive mistake.
The full card list for Journey Together is searchable at Limitless TCG (set code JTG). The set overview is also documented at Serebii. DexHaul is independent and unofficial; not affiliated with The Pokémon Company.
What's Inside the Journey Together ETB
The standard Journey Together Elite Trainer Box includes every item below, factory sealed. Contents come from the official Pokémon product documentation, confirmed across multiple merchant listings.
| Item | Quantity | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Scarlet & Violet Journey Together booster packs | 9 | 10 cards + 1 Basic Energy each |
| Full-art foil promo card | 1 | N's Zorua (exclusive to standard ETB) |
| Card sleeves | 65 | Fits a full 60-card deck plus extras |
| Pokémon TCG Energy cards | 45 | Mixed basic types |
| Damage-counter dice | 6 | Standard 10-sided counters |
| Coin-flip die | 1 | Competition-legal |
| Player's guide | 1 | Set overview for Journey Together |
N's Zorua is the promo exclusive to the standard ETB. N is one of the most popular Trainer characters in the franchise, introduced in Pokémon Black and White, and this full-art foil is the only sealed product at standard retail price that includes a card depicting him. The Pokémon Center ETB features a different Trainer and promo design.

MSRP and Price Per Pack
The Journey Together ETB launched at $49.99 USD MSRP in March 2025. At that price, the per-pack cost works out to $5.55 across nine packs. A standalone Journey Together booster pack retailed at $4.49 to $4.99 at launch, meaning the accessories (sleeves, dice, energy cards, coin die, player's guide) were effectively included at zero additional cost versus buying packs individually at MSRP.
Secondary market prices on DexHaul observed October 13, 2026 range from $97.99 to $206.00 USD for the standard ETB. The Pokémon Center ETB runs higher, from around $203 to $240 USD from independent shops.
| Format | Packs | MSRP (launch) | MSRP per pack | Observed Oct 2026 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Journey Together ETB (standard) | 9 | $49.99 USD | $5.55 | $97–$206 USD |
| Journey Together PC ETB (exclusive) | 9 | Higher (PC-exclusive) | Higher | $203–$240 USD |
| Journey Together Booster Bundle | 6 | $39.95 USD | $6.66 | Varies |
The Booster Bundle is cheaper upfront but costs more per pack and includes no accessories. If you need sleeves and dice for organized play, the ETB is the better buy at MSRP. Once secondary market prices rise above roughly $75, that accessory math starts to invert.

How It Compares to Adjacent Products
Two DexHaul pages cover the closest decision points: the Journey Together Booster Bundle guide breaks down the six-pack bundle versus the ETB, and the Destined Rivals vs Journey Together ETB comparison is useful if you are deciding between sets rather than formats.
| Product | Packs | Promo | Accessories | ETB storage box |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Journey Together ETB (standard) | 9 | N's Zorua full-art foil | Yes (sleeves, dice, energy, guide) | Yes |
| Journey Together PC ETB | 9 | Different Trainer promo | Yes (premium version) | Yes |
| Journey Together Booster Bundle | 6 | None | None | No |
The storage box in the ETB holds a full sleeved deck, making it functional beyond the opening session. That is a detail the product page often buries. For anyone building a competitive collection for the first time, the storage box alone justifies the ETB over the Booster Bundle at MSRP.
Release Timeline
Journey Together launched as the ninth Scarlet & Violet expansion. The Japanese counterpart, Terastal Festival ex, released in late 2024 and featured the same core Trainer's Pokémon pairing mechanic, where named Trainers bond with specific Pokémon ex cards (N's Zoroark ex, Lillie's Clefairy ex, Hop's Zacian ex, lono's Bellibolt ex). The English localization arrived on March 28, 2025.
| Date | Event | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Late 2024 | Japanese Terastal Festival ex releases (SV08a counterpart) | Serebii |
| March 28, 2025 | English Journey Together (SV09, JTG) releases worldwide | Merchant listings; Serebii |
| March 28, 2025 | Standard ETB and Pokémon Center ETB available at launch | Product listings |
Journey Together introduced the "Trainer's Pokémon" card subtype to the English TCG. These cards explicitly name a Trainer alongside a Pokémon, creating mechanically linked pairs that work together in specific deck builds. No previous standard Scarlet & Violet set used this naming convention for featured ex cards at the ETB promo level.
Who Should Buy the Journey Together ETB
The standard Journey Together ETB is the right pick for three types of buyers.
New players benefit most. Nine packs, a deck-legal set of sleeves, damage counters, and a coin all arrive together. You can sit down at an organized play event with what comes in the box, and the storage box holds a full sleeved deck after you build one.
Collectors who specifically want the N's Zorua promo have no cheaper option. N ranks consistently as one of the fan-favorite Trainer characters from the main-series games, and a full-art foil promo at a base ETB price is rare. The only alternative way to get this card is from the secondary market as a single.
Who should skip it
Experienced players who already have sleeves and storage sorted are paying for accessories they do not need. The Booster Bundle gives six packs at a lower entry price if you just want cards. A full booster box gives more consistent pull odds across 36 packs if volume is the priority.
Anyone buying for the Pokémon Center promo specifically should confirm which version a listing shows before purchasing. Some shops list both versions under similar titles, and the promo card is non-interchangeable between them.
Journey Together as a Q4 Gift Pick
The Journey Together ETB works well as a gift in the October to December window. The unboxing experience is strong: a large branded box, accessories inside, and nine packs gives a longer opening session than a single blister. For a Pokémon fan who plays competitively, the N's Zorua promo is a meaningful addition rather than just packaging filler.
