30th Celebration Is Live: What to Buy on Day One and the Per-Pack Math Behind Each Choice
By Dexhaul Team · September 16, 2026
September 16 is here.
The 30th Celebration set launched globally overnight, and independent shops have updated listings across the network. This roundup covers what is actually available right now, what each format costs per booster pack, and which products are set for October 2, not today.
The ETB: Wave 1 MSRP Is Gone, Wave 2 Is the Current Market
The $149.99 MSRP Elite Trainer Box did not make it to launch day at that price.
Specialty-channel Wave 1 allocations closed in the July–August pre-order window, and the market has settled at Wave 2 pricing: $174.98–$179.95 across current independent sellers. That is a 17–20% premium above MSRP.
For comparison, the Hidden Fates ETB (2019) saw Wave 2 premiums exceed 50% within months of its release, and Shining Fates followed a similar trajectory in 2021. The 30th Celebration gap is notably smaller by either standard.
The ETB delivers 9 booster packs plus the full accessory set: card sleeves, energy cards, damage counters, and the collector's storage box. At $174.98, that works out to approximately $19.44 per pack. This is the highest per-pack rate in the current lineup.
The accessories have real replacement value for tournament play, so the ETB purchase logic is different from other formats in this set. It is not primarily a pack-value product.
The Knockout Collection: Best Per-Pack Rate on Launch Day
The Knockout Collection starts at $19.99 at Many Realms, with $22 (Pika Packs, limit one per order) and $25 (Dragon Eye Gaming, Vaultiverse) as the next tiers. It delivers 2 booster packs and one exclusive Eevee foil promo card.
Two packs at $19.99 equals $10 per pack. The Eevee promo is product-exclusive and not part of the standard booster pull pool. It does not appear in ETBs, ex Boxes, or any other format in the current Wave 1 lineup.
Most collectors searching for budget pack access miss this product entirely because the name does not include the word "booster." The packs inside are standard 30th Celebration boosters with identical pull rates to every other format. Knowing the Knockout Collection exists at $19.99 changes the entry-level math for the entire set.
ex Boxes: Four Packs and a Character Choice
Two variants launched today: Sylveon ex (from $49.95 at Realgoodeal) and Greninja ex (from $54.95 at Galactic Toys). Each includes 4 booster packs and a character-specific foil promo.
The pack contents are identical across both boxes. Both variants contain standard 30th Celebration boosters with the same pull structure. The promo card is the only element that differs between them.
Completionists wanting both will find the individual route cheaper right now. Sylveon at $49.95 plus Greninja at $54.95 totals approximately $104.90.
Set-of-2 bundles currently list from $125 to $149.95 from various sellers. Buying separately saves $20–$45 depending on which bundle you compare against, assuming you are comfortable with two separate orders.
Tech Sticker Collection: Three Packs and the Cheapest Three-Pack Format
The Tech Sticker Collection delivers 3 booster packs, a foil promo card, and a sticker sheet. Two distinct variants exist: Lucario and Alolan Exeggutor.
The Lucario variant starts at $34.95 (Realgoodeal), making it the cheapest three-pack format in the Wave 1 lineup. At that price, the per-pack cost is $11.65.
The Alolan Exeggutor promo is variant-exclusive. It is not available through any other Wave 1 product.
Collectors wanting both promos should note that buying individually from the lowest-price sellers runs approximately $70–$79 combined. The set-of-2 from MHDEALSPLUS at $89.95 adds $11–$20 above the cheapest individual pair for a single-order convenience.
Poster Collection: Three Packs and the Full Legendary Bird Trio
The Poster Collection delivers 3 booster packs and three simultaneous foil promos: Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres. All three Kanto legendary birds arrive in the same box. The current price range is $44–$49.99, putting the per-pack cost at $14.67–$16.66 once you set aside the promo value.
No other Wave 1 product in the 30th Celebration lineup delivers a complete legendary trio in one purchase. For collectors targeting the Kanto birds specifically, this is the direct route to all three promos without hunting singles separately.
The three foil cards are product-exclusive and do not appear in the standard booster pull pool, which is the same structure as the Knockout Collection's Eevee promo and the ex Box character cards.
What Is Not Available Today
The Booster Bundle, Battle Decks (Espeon ex and Umbreon ex), and Mini Tins all have an October 2 release date. Pre-orders are open now: Battle Decks start at $37.25 per deck and Booster Bundles from $59.99.
Many collectors checking the full product lineup on the official Pokémon TCG page today will wonder why the Booster Bundle is not available. It is not a shortage. October 2 is its launch date.
The same applies to the Mini Tins, arriving alongside the Battle Decks in the same Wave 2 window.
The Booster Bundle is worth noting because it will deliver 6 packs at $59.99 from the current lowest listing, hitting $10 per pack once it ships. That matches the Knockout Collection's current per-pack rate, which is the set's floor for Wave 1 products today.
The Ultra Premium Collections are a separate November release entirely, not a Wave 2 item. Pre-orders for those are open in the $599–$649 range from multiple sellers.
