Mega Chandelure ex in 2026: One Set, Three Rarity Tiers, and $49 Between Them
By Dexhaul Team · September 7, 2026
Chandelure is one of the few Pokémon in ME05 Pitch Black to appear at three distinct rarity levels in the same set.
That fact matters the moment you decide to collect it. The gap between the cheapest and most expensive Mega Chandelure ex is $49. Knowing what each tier actually represents keeps you from overspending on the wrong version or overlooking the one that fits your collection.
This guide covers the three cards, what each costs and why, and how they sit alongside Chandelure's older TCG appearances. It also covers the two plush lines currently available, which overlap in price but differ completely in size and design.
Why Chandelure in Pitch Black
Chandelure is a Ghost and Fire type introduced in Generation V, based on a chandelier-form ghost lamp. Its entirely black flame body and purple fire make it a natural fit for ME05's darkness theme. Pitch Black leans into shadow-type energy as its aesthetic anchor, and Chandelure carries that visual without any adjustment.
In the Mega Evolution TCG series, featured Pokémon that receive a Mega form typically appear at multiple rarity levels within the same set. Darkrai is ME05's headline SIR at a much higher price. Chandelure gets the same three-tier structure as a co-featured Ghost type, which is why its cards span such a wide range.
The Three ME05 Cards
Double Rare, 038/084
The Double Rare is Chandelure's entry point in ME05. Card number 038 sits within the set's standard 084-card print run, carrying the Holofoil treatment at the Double Rare tier. Raw copies from in-stock independent sellers list at $1.00.
For binder collectors who want the Mega Chandelure ex in their ME05 page without a budget commitment, this is the buy. The artwork is the same Mega form as the higher rarities, rendered at the standard card frame without the full-bleed illustration treatment.
Full Art Ultra Rare, 099/084
The Full Art Ultra Rare lands at card 099, outside the standard print-run numbering. That placement signals the full-bleed painted illustration treatment: the entire card face becomes artwork, with no traditional card frame boundary.
Raw copies of the Full Art UR list between $8 and $9 USD from in-stock sellers. It represents the biggest value shift per dollar in the three tiers: roughly nine times the visual impact of the Double Rare for nine times the price.
Special Illustration Rare, 115/084
The SIR is where Chandelure's collector value in ME05 concentrates. Card 115 carries a full illustrated scene: Mega Chandelure ex rendered in its full environment rather than isolated against a card frame.
In-stock raw copies range from $44 to $50 USD. The 50x price gap between the Double Rare ($1) and the SIR ($50) is the widest single-Pokémon spread in ME05 Pitch Black for any Pokémon that appears at all three rarity levels.
Both cards are the same Pokémon, same print run, same set.
The SIR price reflects demand for the SIR illustration tier rather than any scarcity signal from pull rates. Chandelure's Ghost aesthetic in full-art format drives collector interest independent of gameplay considerations.
Chandelure in Other Sets
Before ME05, the most widely collected Chandelure TCG card was the Trainer Gallery version from Lost Origin (SWSH11), numbered TG04/TG30. That card uses the lifestyle-art style of the Trainer Gallery subset: a painted, non-standard composition that sits outside the set's main card list.
Raw TG04/TG30 copies from in-stock sellers list between $3.76 and $5.50 USD. The Lost Origin Trainer Gallery version and the ME05 SIR attract different collectors.
The Lost Origin card represents the SWSH-era Chandelure aesthetic. The ME05 SIR is the Mega form, a distinct design from the standard Chandelure silhouette.
Twilight Masquerade (SV06) includes Chandelure at 038/167, a Holo Rare that lists under $2. Noble Victories from 2011 has Chandelure 60/101 at around $16, making it a solid Black and White era entry if vintage TCG coverage matters for your collection.
The Plush Lines
Two Chandelure plush lines are currently available from independent shops. They target different shelf profiles, but they cross in price in a way that catches most buyers off guard.
Pokemon Fit
The Pokémon Fit plush (sold as Pokémon Sitting Cuties in North America) is a palm-sized, weighted plush designed to sit upright. Every Fit figure maintains the same compact scale across all Pokémon in the line, which makes it the choice for multi-Pokémon displays where consistent sizing matters.
The Chandelure Fit originated as a Pokémon Center Japan production run. It uses Chandelure's standard Pokédex silhouette, not the Mega form from the TCG cards. In-stock listings from independent importers run from $21 to $25 USD.
Sanei All Star Collection
The Sanei All Star Collection Chandelure runs 7 to 8 inches tall and includes an accessory strap. Where the Fit sits quietly in a grid display, the Sanei is built for a shelf centerpiece: taller, more detailed in the face, and with the strap adding a different kind of display flexibility.
The Sanei PP93 (the small version) lists at $23 from importers, which puts it at almost the same price as the Fit. At $23, you are choosing between the two design philosophies, not the two price points. The 8-inch version runs $32 to $40 USD depending on seller.
The Pokémon Fit is the collector's pick when matching a multi-Pokémon seated display. The Sanei is the pick when Chandelure is the shelf focus, not one figure among many.
Both are from official licensed producers. Neither one is a better version of the other.
