Is There a Pokémon Collector Chest in 2026?

Every Pokémon Collector Chest edition so far

The series has appeared seven times across pokemon.com's product gallery since 2022. The pattern is roughly two releases per year: one in the spring or back-to-school window and one in the fall or holiday window. Release dates sourced from the pokémon.com product gallery.

The Fall 2023 and Fall 2024 editions both landed in mid-November, roughly six weeks before the holiday window. The Fall 2025 edition came slightly later, on December 5. If that cadence holds, a Fall 2026 edition would most likely appear in October or November 2026.

What the Fall 2025 edition includes

The Fall 2025 Collector Chest carries the Mega Evolution branding. The metal tin is the defining feature of the series: it doubles as storage after you open the packs, which is part of what makes each edition desirable beyond the cards themselves.

Older editions from the Scarlet and Violet era featured packs from the current standard-legal sets at release time. The Fall 2025 shift to Mega Evolution packs aligns with TPC's pivot to the new Mega Evolution TCG series, which launched in 2025. Independent sellers confirm the Mega Evolution theming across multiple listings observed on October 5, 2026.

Confirmed vs not yet announced

Here is the honest status as of October 5, 2026.

There is no "Back to School 2026" or "Fall 2026" Collector Chest listed on pokemon.com's product gallery. No release date has been reported by PokeBeach or PokeGuardian. This is an absence, not a cancellation: TPC simply has not announced one yet.

What to buy right now

If you want a metal tin product this year, the Fall 2025 edition is the one currently in stock from independent sellers. Prices observed on October 5, 2026 range from $48 to $95 USD depending on the seller and condition.

There are three solid options in stock right now.

Fall 2025 Collector Chest around $50

Mega Evolution Collector's Chest around $48

Bradham Memorabilia lists a Mega Evolution Collector's Chest at $48 USD. If the tin format is the goal and you are not holding out for a 2026 release, this is the most accessible current price point.

Dec 2025 Collector Chest for display or gifting

The Gameology listing for the December 2025 edition runs $95 USD and is positioned as an unopened display or gift item. That is above typical MSRP, so check the product page for the specific condition and contents before buying.

Mega Moonlit Tin as a budget alternative

How you will know when a 2026 edition is announced

TPC announces Collector Chest releases on the pokemon.com product gallery before they ship. The pattern for Fall editions is an announcement four to eight weeks before release. If the cadence holds, an October 2026 announcement would point to a November or early December 2026 ship date.

Here is the meaningful part: if a Fall 2026 Collector Chest arrives, it will almost certainly feature the current Mega Evolution set era.

ME05 Pitch Black released in 2026, and ME06 Delta Reign is scheduled for November 2026. A holiday 2026 chest would likely carry ME06 packs or a mix of ME05 and ME06, making it the natural companion to the Delta Reign set cycle.

That prediction is based on how TPC has timed previous editions to the running standard-format sets. It is not confirmed: if and when a 2026 chest appears on pokemon.com, the product page will state the pack contents.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a Pokémon Collector Chest for 2026?

Not yet announced as of October 5, 2026. The most recent edition is the Fall 2025 Collector Chest, released December 5, 2025. No 2026 edition appears on pokemon.com's product gallery at this time.

What is the Pokémon Collector Chest MSRP?

TPC has not published an official MSRP for the Collector Chest series. Independent sellers list the Fall 2025 edition at $48 to $95 USD as observed on October 5, 2026. Always check the product page for the seller's current price before buying.

How many packs are in the Pokémon Collector Chest?

The number varies by edition. Confirm the exact pack count on the official product page at pokemon.com or on the individual seller's listing before purchasing, since secondary market descriptions sometimes omit this detail.

Is the Collector Chest worth buying over an Elite Trainer Box?

The Collector Chest is a metal tin bundle with fewer packs than a standard ETB (which comes with 9 packs). The chest format is designed for gifting and display.

If you want maximum pack value, an ETB is the better choice. If you want the metal tin and accessories, the Collector Chest is the only TCG product that delivers that format.

When is the next Pokémon Collector Chest releasing?

Not announced as of October 5, 2026. Based on the series' two-per-year cadence, the next edition is most likely a Fall or Holiday 2026 product, but TPC has not confirmed one. Watch pokemon.com's product gallery for official confirmation.
