Celebrations Collector Chest (2021): Contents and MSRP

The Celebrations Collector Chest is the only sealed product in the 25th anniversary lineup to include three exclusive foil promo cards not found in any Celebrations booster pack, Elite Trainer Box, or Ultra-Premium Collection.

Released October 8, 2021 alongside the Celebrations set, the metal chest contains 6 Celebrations 4-card booster packs, 2 additional Pokémon TCG booster packs, and three retro-notation promos: Mimikyu δ, Light Toxtricity, and Hydreigon C. The manufacturer's suggested retail price at launch was $34.99, per the official Pokémon product page. Secondary market listings from US sellers sit at $199.00-$222.00 USD as of October 12, 2026, roughly 5-6x the original MSRP.

What's inside the Celebrations Collector Chest

The full contents list is confirmed across multiple seller listings and the official product page. The "2 additional Pokémon TCG booster packs" are sourced from other sets; the specific series may vary by unit.

Item Qty Notes
Celebrations 4-card booster pack 6 24 Celebrations cards total; no booster box exists for this set
Additional Pokémon TCG booster pack 2 Other series; contents may vary by unit
Foil promo: Mimikyu δ 1 Exclusive to this product; δ notation evokes the EX era Delta Species mechanic
Foil promo: Light Toxtricity 1 Exclusive to this product; "Light" prefix recalls Neo Destiny-era Light Pokémon
Foil promo: Hydreigon C 1 Exclusive to this product; "C" notation references Crystal-type Pokémon from the e-Reader era
Pokémon coin 1 Metal coin
Sticker sheets 4 Full-color art sheets
Mini portfolio 1 Card storage booklet
Pokémon notepad 1

The three promos are what set the Collector Chest apart. Each card uses a vintage-era mechanic notation as a tribute to 25 years of Pokémon TCG design history: the Delta Species "δ" from the EX Series era (2006-2007), the "Light" prefix from Neo Destiny (2002), and the Crystal "C" type indicator. None of these three promos appear in any other Celebrations product.

MSRP and price per pack

The Collector Chest launched at $34.99 MSRP for 8 total booster packs, giving an effective pack rate of around $4.37. That rate is higher than the Celebrations ETB on a per-pack basis, but the Chest's appeal was always the promo trio and the metal tin form factor, not raw pack count.

Product MSRP (launch) Total booster packs Effective MSRP per pack
Celebrations Collector Chest $34.99 8 (6 Celebrations + 2 other) ~$4.37
Celebrations ETB ~$44.99 15 (10 Celebrations + 5 other) ~$3.00
Celebrations UPC ~$99.99 25 (17 Celebrations + 8 other) ~$4.00

On today's secondary market, the Collector Chest runs $199.00-$222.00 USD from US sellers (observed October 12, 2026). The ETB commands $393-$487 USD and the UPC $800-$1,403 USD at comparable listings. For sealed Celebrations product at the lowest dollar entry, the Chest is currently the most accessible of the three at secondary market prices.

How it compares to other Celebrations products

The Celebrations lineup had three main sealed products, each aimed at a different buyer.

Feature Collector Chest Elite Trainer Box Ultra-Premium Collection
Celebrations packs 6 10 17
Exclusive promos Mimikyu δ, Light Toxtricity, Hydreigon C Greninja ★ (PC ETB only) Metal Base Set Charizard, Pikachu
Form factor Metal treasure chest Standard cardboard box Premium display box
Accessories Coin, stickers, portfolio, notepad 65 sleeves, 45 Energy, accessories Playmat, deck box, coin
MSRP (launch) $34.99 ~$44.99 ~$99.99

The key difference: the ETB delivered the highest pack count per dollar at launch. The Chest was the gift-friendly entry point. The UPC was the prestige purchase, with the metal Base Set reprints as its centrepiece.

Who it's for, and who should skip it

Buy the Collector Chest if

You want the exclusive promo trio. The Mimikyu δ, Light Toxtricity, and Hydreigon C promos aren't available anywhere else in the Celebrations lineup, sealed or loose. If completing the full Celebrations product set matters to you, the Chest is a required purchase.

The metal tin form factor also makes this the most display-friendly option in the lineup. The ETB and UPC are cardboard boxes; the Chest is a self-contained piece of shelf decor even before it's opened.

Skip it if

Your goal is raw Celebrations pack count at the best price. At secondary market prices, the ETB gives you more packs per dollar. If you want the most immersive Celebrations pull experience, the UPC's 25 total packs and metal card reprints are the headline purchase.

Also skip it if you're grading-focused. The promos are the appeal, and three cards from a $199.00+ purchase is a thin return if PSA or BGS grades are the goal. Individual raw promo copies surface regularly in the secondary market for less.
