Pokémon GO Tin (2022): Contents and MSRP

Pokémon TCG Pokémon GO Tin sealed product
Pokémon TCG: Pokémon GO Tin · $75.00 USD

Three designs, two promo cards, and four packs from a set you can't buy new anymore.

The Pokémon GO Tin launched in July 2022 alongside the Pokémon GO TCG expansion (set code: PGO). It came in three versions named after the tin's featured Pokémon: Pikachu, Snorlax, and Blissey. Each holds four PGO booster packs, a foil Pikachu promo card shared across all three versions, and one foil card of the version's featured Pokémon. A sticker sheet and a Pokémon TCG Live code card round out the box.

The set is retired, so every unit available today is sealed 2022 stock from secondary market sellers. Prices vary significantly by version and seller.

What's inside each version

The contents are the same across all three designs, with the exception of the featured Pokémon foil card. Here is the full breakdown.

The Pikachu promo appearing in all three versions is a notable detail for collectors. If you specifically want that card, any of the three tins will get you there regardless of which design you pick.

MSRP and price per pack

No official MSRP for the Pokémon GO Tin was confirmed from a dated press release I could access today. The official Pokémon product gallery lists the tin but does not publish a price. The PGO set launched July 1, 2022 (Q3 2022) and has since been retired.

Current listings across independent sellers, observed October 2026, reflect secondary market pricing for sealed 2022 stock.

VersionOriginal MSRPObserved Range (Oct 2026)Approx. per Pack
PikachuNot confirmed~$75–$100 USD~$19–$25
SnorlaxNot confirmed~$70–$100 USD~$18–$25
BlisseyNot confirmed~$28–$70 USD~$7–$18

The Blissey version consistently trades at lower prices than Pikachu or Snorlax. If you are opening for packs rather than chasing the featured Pokémon foil, the Blissey tin offers the same four PGO packs at a substantially lower cost in most listings.

How it compares to other Pokémon GO TCG products

The GO Tin sits between the GO Elite Trainer Box and the GO Mini Tin in terms of pack count and product size. Here is a quick comparison of the three sealed formats from the PGO expansion.

ProductPacksPromo CardsAccessories
Pokémon GO Tin42 foils (Pikachu + featured Pokémon)Sticker sheet, code card
GO Elite Trainer Box101 foil (Mewtwo V)Full accessory kit, sleeves, dice
GO Special Collection61 full-art trainer promo (Spark, Blanche, or Candela)Deluxe team pin
GO Mini Tin2NoneMetallic coin, art card

The Tin offers the GO set's only way to get both a Pikachu foil promo and the featured Pokémon foil in the same product. The ETB gets you more packs and a dedicated Mewtwo V promo, while the Special Collection is the route to the full-art trainer cards exclusive to that box.

Who it's for, and who should skip it

The Pokémon GO Tin makes the most sense for collectors who want a compact piece of GO-themed sealed product, specifically for the two promo cards rather than maximizing pack count.

The Pikachu promo is the same across all three designs. If you want that card but do not have a preference for Pikachu, Snorlax, or Blissey, the Blissey version reliably trades at the lowest price. That gives you the same four packs and the same Pikachu foil for significantly less in most current listings.

Skip it if

You want the most PGO packs per dollar. The GO ETB has 10 packs and, when it launched, delivered better cost-per-pack at MSRP than the Tin. On the secondary market today, the 10-pack ETB still gives you more packs for a comparable total spend, depending on which ETB listing you find.

You want a specific playable rare from the PGO set. Four packs is a small sample, and the set's most searched cards (including Mewtwo V and Radiant Charizard) appear in a slim fraction of packs. Cracking a single tin is closer to a collectible experience than a serious hunt.

Frequently asked questions

How many packs come in a Pokémon GO Tin?

Each Pokémon GO Tin contains four Pokémon GO booster packs, each with 10 cards. The Tin is distinct from the GO Mini Tin, which holds two packs.

What foil cards are in the Pokémon GO Tin?

Every version includes a foil Pikachu promo card. In addition, each tin contains a second foil card of the featured Pokémon: Pikachu (Pikachu tin), Snorlax (Snorlax tin), or Blissey (Blissey tin). Total: two foil cards per tin regardless of version.

Is the Pokémon GO Tin still in print?

No. The PGO expansion launched July 1, 2022 and has since been retired, with no reprint announced. All current listings are sealed 2022 stock from secondary market sellers. There is no authorized new-retail source.

Which version of the GO Tin costs the most?

Based on October 2026 listings, the Pikachu and Snorlax versions tend to trade at higher prices than the Blissey version, likely reflecting stronger collector demand for those featured Pokémon foils.

What is the difference between the GO Tin and the GO Poké Ball Tin?

These are separate products. The Pokémon GO Poké Ball Tin is a ball-shaped container without a featured Pokémon design, whereas the GO Tin is a standard flat tin featuring one of three Pokémon. Contents and pack counts differ between the two.
