October 2026 is not a quiet month for Pokémon TCG collectors.

Three distinct product launches land across the month, and there is a meaningful window at the start of October to buy 30th Celebration singles at their post-launch low before demand stabilizes. Understanding where those windows fall changes how you approach your spending across the next six weeks.

This guide maps the month in order: what to buy in early October, what to pre-order before prices move, and what can wait until it appears on store shelves.

Early October: The 30th Celebration Singles Window

Singles prices for newly released Pokémon TCG sets follow a consistent pattern, documented across recent Scarlet & Violet era releases.

At launch, pull rates are unknown and excitement is at its peak. Sellers price accordingly.

In the two to four weeks after the sealed rush subsides, a significant portion of the set enters the secondary market from opened packs. That supply surge is when single-card prices on the broader set settle to their lowest point.

For 30th Celebration, this window opens around October 1 and typically closes by mid-October as the market digests available supply. Futuristic Rare cards, the new rarity tier exclusive to this set, are the most interesting singles target during that window. The Mew ex and Mewtwo ex Futuristic Rares are confirmed chase cards, but the full ex tier and Double Rare pool will also be cheapest in this two-week stretch.

If you plan to build a 30th Celebration singles collection rather than open sealed, early October is the practical buying window. Waiting until late October risks prices rebounding as supply tightens before the Knockout Collection Wave 2 launch draws renewed attention to the set.

The 30th Celebration Battle Decks, Espeon ex and Umbreon ex, are mass retail products available throughout October and beyond. They do not carry the allocation constraint of the ETB and UPC, which were specialty-channel products with quantities locked before launch. If the Battle Decks are on your list, there is no urgency: they will be on shelves and available from online retailers well into November.

The Delta Reign ME06 Pre-Order Window Is Closing

Delta Reign ME06 is the sixth set in the Mega Evolution TCG series, launching November 6, 2026.

The Pokémon Center pre-order for the exclusive ETB variant typically opens four to six weeks before English release in the ME series. That places the PC listing around late September to early October. When the official PC listing goes live, it establishes a public price anchor, and specialty sellers often adjust their pre-order prices upward to align with or exceed that anchor.

The current window, before the PC ETB listing is live, is when standard-retail ETB prices at specialty sellers reflect market demand rather than an official anchor. Collectors who lock in at this stage are buying before that price adjustment, not after it.

Delta Reign is headlined by Mega Rayquaza ex. The Japanese counterpart, Storm Emeralda M6, gave collectors their first look at the set's card arts and rarity distribution. Rayquaza's Dragon typing and historical pull as a chase card make the ex and Hyper Rare tiers the primary value targets in this set.

If you are not ready to commit to an ETB, the booster bundle is the lower-stakes entry point. Six packs for $44.95 is enough to get a real sense of pull rates before deciding whether to order more sealed product at launch.

The booster box sits at $239.95 and represents the full allocation product. Most collectors who want a genuine shot at every chase card in the set will want at least one booster box. Specialty allocations for the ME series have been capped in prior releases, meaning the booster box in particular can sell through pre-order before launch week.

October 23: The Deck Crafter's Collection

At $9.99 MSRP, the Deck Crafter's Collection is the most affordable new Pokémon TCG product on the October calendar.

The contents are a foil Meowth ex promo card, forty tournament-legal Trainer staples, and one booster pack. That combination punches above its price.

Trainer staples, cards like Professor's Research and Boss's Orders, are difficult to accumulate through random booster pulls alone. Getting forty of them in a single $9.99 purchase is a genuinely practical proposition for any player building a competitive collection.

Collectors who have no interest in playing competitively and already own Meowth ex in other forms can reasonably pass. For everyone else, this is an uncomplicated pre-order. The Deck Crafter's Collection is a mass retail product and will not sell out on launch day, but pre-ordering from a specialty seller now guarantees you do not forget it in a busy month.

It is also worth noting that Meowth ex as a promo has a different set code and stamp than any standard booster pull. Completionists who track promo variants will want this one regardless of the Trainer staple consideration.

Late October: Knockout Collection Wave 2

The 30th Celebration Knockout Collection lands in late October as the set's second product wave.

Unlike the ETB and UPC, which were specialty-channel products with quantities allocated months before launch, the Knockout Collection is a mass retail format. It will appear at large retail chains and online sellers in the weeks after its release date, with no allocation cap that restricts access to pre-order buyers only. There is no reason to rush this one.

At $25.99, the Knockout Collection is the most accessible 30th Celebration product for any collector who missed the September 16 launch window or who held back on the higher-priced products. It provides a lower-cost entry into the set's pack distribution and a path to 30th Celebration singles without committing to ETB or UPC pricing.

What's Coming in November

November 6 is Delta Reign day. If you have not pre-ordered the ETB or booster box by then, launch-week specialty allocation pressure begins.

Later in November, the Japanese Aura Seeker (M7) releases on November 27. This set, announced at the 2026 World Championships closing ceremony, features Mega Lucario Z ex and marks the debut of the ex star rarity tier. English release timing for Aura Seeker has not been announced, but Japanese import sellers are expected to have boxes available for North American collectors shortly after the JP launch date.

No English release date for the ex star series has been officially confirmed. Any seller claiming a specific English street date at this stage is estimating, not reporting. Watch for an official announcement through The Pokémon Company's news channels.

October's real job is clearing the field: buy 30th Celebration singles while the window is open, lock in Delta Reign before the PC anchor lands, and pick up the Deck Crafter's Collection on or before October 23. That leaves November free to focus entirely on Delta Reign launch week.
