Delta Reign ME06: The Pokémon Center Pre-Order Window Approaches
By Dexhaul Team · September 5, 2026
The Pokémon Center pre-order for Delta Reign ME06 is expected to open around late September, based on how prior Mega Evolution TCG sets have timed their direct listings.
That timing matters for collectors currently watching independent specialty prices. When the PC listing goes live, it sets an official retail anchor. Independent sellers often adjust their prices upward to match or exceed that anchor.
The window between now and that listing opening is the best moment to lock in a pre-order at the current specialty market rate.
This guide covers what to expect from the PC pre-order, why the ETB situation is more complex than most buyers realize, and what the Japanese Storm Emeralda M6 can tell you about the set before you commit.
What Delta Reign ME06 Is
Delta Reign is the sixth set in the Mega Evolution TCG series, an English-market release tied to the XY-era Mega Evolution mechanic. The Japanese counterpart, Storm Emeralda (M6), launched earlier this year and its product is shipping from North American importers now. The English Delta Reign ME06 release follows on November 6, 2026.
The series is collector-forward rather than competitive. Large Mega ex cards, premium packaging, and limited English print windows are the defining characteristics. Every set in the run centers on a marquee Mega Evolution: for ME06, that card is Mega Rayquaza ex.
Rayquaza has a long collector trajectory in the TCG, from its original holos in EX Dragon through multiple modern re-appearances. Its placement at the center of ME06 continues a pattern of using legendary and pseudo-legendary Pokémon as the thematic anchor for the series.
The Two ETBs and Why They Are Not the Same Product
This is the detail most pre-order buyers miss.
Delta Reign ME06 has two distinct Elite Trainer Box products. The standard retail ETB lists at $99.95 from MHDEALSPLUS and similar prices from other Wave 1 specialty sellers. That is the format most buyers will encounter when searching for a Delta Reign ETB pre-order.
The second ETB is the Pokémon Center exclusive variant. In prior ME series releases, the PC ETB has featured distinct packaging and, in some cases, a different promo card from the standard retail version. Delta Reign's PC ETB is not yet listed directly through Pokémon Center, but some specialty sellers have listed it with an acrylic case bundle at around $279.
These two products are not interchangeable. Buying the standard retail ETB now does not mean you have also acquired the PC exclusive. If the PC variant is what you want for your collection, holding for the direct Pokémon Center listing makes more sense than paying a significant markup through a third-party seller before the official product details are confirmed.
Why Specialty Prices Move When the PC Listing Opens
Independent specialty sellers price Pokémon Center-adjacent products before official retail numbers are public. When the PC listing goes live, it sets a visible reference point for the market.
Buyers who are price-sensitive tend to shift toward the PC listing once it is available, which reduces demand pressure on independent inventory. Sellers who priced below the eventual PC retail often adjust upward. Sellers who priced above it face more buyer scrutiny.
The net effect for a collector watching right now: the current $99.95 standard ETB price from specialty sellers reflects the pre-PC-listing market, before that anchor exists. Locking in a Wave 1 standard ETB now means committing to a price that was set without the PC retail as a comparison point. That can work in your favor or against you depending on where PC prices land, but the uncertainty resolves once the listing goes live.
Wave 1 vs Wave 2 is a second variable in this equation. Wave 1 allocations at $239.95 (booster box) represent standard sealed product. Wave 2 bundles at $331 add accessories like acrylic display cases.
The product inside the pack allocation is identical across waves. Price separation comes entirely from the bundled extras.
The Japanese Preview Option: Storm Emeralda M6
Storm Emeralda M6 boxes are shipping to North American buyers now from import sellers at $150 to $179.99.
The Japanese card pool overlaps substantially with what English Delta Reign ME06 will contain. Pulling from Storm Emeralda now is not a substitute for the English release: the language is different, the collector and tournament value is different, and English sealed commands its own market. But it is a preview.
Opening a Japanese box before committing to English sealed gives you direct evidence of the card arts, the rarity distribution, and how the pull rates feel across a real box. For a collector who is uncertain whether Delta Reign is worth a $99.95 ETB or $239.95 booster box commitment, a single Japanese box at $179.99 answers that question from experience rather than speculation.
The Booster Bundle: The Lower-Commitment Entry Point
Collectors who want exposure to Delta Reign without committing to an ETB or booster box can use the Booster Bundle as the entry point. At $44.95 (MHDEALSPLUS Wave 1), it is the lowest-cost sealed option for sampling the set's pull rates before November 6.
The bundle contains enough packs to produce a real feel for the card pool. It is not a full pull-rate sample, but it covers the question of whether the card arts and rarity tiers match what you are looking for before you invest at a higher tier.
One note on the bundle's position relative to the PC listing: like the standard ETB, the Booster Bundle price from specialty sellers is set before the PC retail anchor exists. If you are specifically holding for the PC listing to inform your decision, the bundle is a lower-risk way to engage with the set in the meantime.
What to Do Before the PC Pre-Order Opens
Three paths forward depending on your collection goals.
Standard ETB now from specialty
If you want the standard retail ETB and your preference is Wave 1 pricing without the PC listing as a reference point, the $99.95 MHDEALSPLUS listing is the current benchmark. Wave 1 allocations fill before Wave 2 opens; if the standard ETB is your target format, waiting past the PC listing means potentially moving to Wave 2 pricing from specialty sellers.
Wait for the PC ETB
If the Pokémon Center exclusive ETB variant is the one you want, hold. The specialty pre-listings for the PC ETB at $279 come with an acrylic case bundled in, but the official PC retail price and exact product contents are not confirmed until the listing opens. Buying the PC variant from a third-party seller now means paying a premium for a product whose specifications are not yet fully public.
Japanese Storm Emeralda as a preview
If you are undecided on any English commitment, the Japanese M6 boxes available now at $150 to $179.99 answer the question of whether this set's card pool is worth chasing in English. That information arrives before November 6 at a cost lower than a booster box pre-order, and it does not require canceling anything if you decide to step back.
