Delta Reign ME06: Chase Cards, Wave 2 Pre-Orders, and When to Lock In Before November 6

Sixty-seven days.

That is how long collectors have to compare pre-order options before Delta Reign ME06 arrives at North American retailers on November 6, 2026. The pre-order market has already split into two distinct waves, a Pokémon Center exclusive variant has entered the picture, and the Japanese equivalent is shipping right now.

The window for making an informed decision is open.

What Delta Reign ME06 Is

Delta Reign is the sixth set in the Pokémon Mega Evolution TCG series, a Japanese-first line of releases built around the XY-era Mega Evolution mechanic. The Japanese version, Storm Emeralda M6, launched earlier this year. The English localization, Delta Reign ME06, follows on November 6.

The Mega Evolution TCG series sits outside the main Scarlet and Violet competitive timeline. It is collector-forward: large Mega EX cards, premium packaging, and a shorter print window than standard competitive sets. That combination is what drives pre-order urgency for this series specifically.

Sellers across North America now list pre-orders across every format: individual booster packs at $5, checklane blisters, booster bundles, elite trainer boxes, and full booster boxes. Some sellers are also listing allocated quantities, which tells you something important about how this product will behave at launch.

Mega Rayquaza ex: The Set's Headliner

Every ME series set centers on a marquee Mega Evolution card. For Delta Reign ME06, that card is Mega Rayquaza ex.

Rayquaza has one of the longest collector trajectories in the TCG: from its original holos in EX Dragon through the Celestial Storm gold secret rare and into every major modern iteration. Its placement as the showcase card for ME06 continues a pattern of The Pokémon Company selecting Rayquaza for sets built around spectacle. The card features prominently across the set's marketing imagery and product packaging.

The practical question for collectors is whether they want to pull the card from packs or acquire it as a single after launch. Pre-ordering sealed product is the bet that the card will be worth opening for. Pulling the Japanese version now is one way to preview the art and decide.

Japanese Storm Emeralda M6 boxes are shipping now from North American sellers at $150 to $179.99. The card pool overlaps substantially with the English Delta Reign ME06 release. Pulling from Japanese stock is not a substitute for the English version, but it is a concrete preview: you see the arts, the rarity distribution, and whether the chase cards match your collection goals before you commit to English sealed.

Wave 1 vs Wave 2: The Price Gap and What It Buys

This is the most underreported aspect of the Delta Reign pre-order market.

Wave 1 products are standard retail formats. A Wave 1 booster box lists at $230 from TruchaPokeShop and $239.95 from MHDEALSPLUS.

Wave 2 products bundle premium accessories alongside the sealed product. The Gemzy Wave 2 Booster Box with Acrylic Case lists at $331, roughly $90 more than the Wave 1 equivalent.

That distinction matters for two types of collectors. If you plan to open the box, Wave 1 pricing is the sensible choice.

If you intend to keep one box sealed, the Wave 2 case is the only way to get purpose-built acrylic storage. Acrylic cases purchased separately rarely fit as cleanly, and Wave 2 bundles may not be offered after the pre-order window closes.

The "allocated" label on Prince Distribution's Delta Reign listings adds another signal. Allocated means the seller received a fixed wholesale quantity and cannot reorder freely when stock runs out.

Prince Distribution lists its ME06 booster box at CA$162.50 with that label. Buyers using a Canadian wholesale-channel retailer should treat allocated listings as a finite window.

The Elite Trainer Box: Three Price Points and One Premium Variant

The ETB is the most common entry point for ME series sets, and Delta Reign has the widest ETB price spread of any recent release.

Standard pre-order ETBs list at $85 (TruchaPokeShop), $99.95 (MHDEALSPLUS), and $136 for the Gemzy Wave 2 version with acrylic case. All three contain the same booster packs, promo card, and accessories. The acrylic case accounts for the $37 to $51 difference between the Wave 1 and Wave 2 options.

A fourth option sits at a significantly higher tier: the Pokémon Center exclusive ETB. This is a separate product from the standard retail ETB, with distinct packaging and, in prior ME series releases, a different promo card.

Gemzy lists the Pokémon Center ETB with Acrylic Case at $279. The $85 standard ETB and the $279 PC version are not the same product.

Entry Formats: Booster Bundle and Individual Packs

Not every collector needs a full booster box or ETB to engage with a new set.

The Booster Bundle at $44.95 (MHDEALSPLUS) to $67 (Gemzy Wave 2 with bundle extras) is the accessible tier. It contains enough packs to get a real sample of the set without the cost of a full box, and it is the right format for collectors who want to pull one copy of a card rather than build a playset. The Gemzy Wave 2 Booster Bundle at $67 again bundles the acrylic upgrade for sealed display.

Individual booster packs are available from LA Sports Cards at $5 each. This is useful for collectors completing a set from singles who want one or two extra attempts at a specific pull without committing to a bundle. At the other end, sealed cases (36 booster boxes per case) are listed by MHDEALSPLUS at $1,429.95 for collectors who want the full allocation.

How to Position Before November 6

The pre-order window is the time to compare formats, not the week of launch.

Three things narrow as the launch date approaches.

Allocated quantities at wholesale-channel retailers fill on a first-come basis. Wave 2 acrylic bundles may not be offered after the pre-order window closes. PC exclusive ETBs historically sell out before standard retail does.

If you want one of each version for a complete collection: lock in the standard ETB now (it is the easiest to restock), then decide separately on the PC ETB and Wave 2 case upgrades. If you are opening product to pull cards, the Wave 1 booster box at $230 to $239.95 is the cleanest price per pack. If you are staying sealed, the Wave 2 acrylic bundle is the only packaging that will remain available now, not after launch.

Pulling Japanese Storm Emeralda M6 in the meantime is low-risk research. The sets share the same core cards. What you learn about your interest in the set from Japanese packs translates directly to how many English boxes you should order.
