Yokohama Deck Pikachu (WCS23): Japanese Import Guide (2026)
By Dexhaul Team · October 13, 2026 · 5 min read
The WCS23 Yokohama Deck -Pikachu- is one of the only World Championships Pokémon TCG products that has never received a direct English retail release.
Released on July 28, 2023 (per Limitless TCG), the deck was distributed at and around the 2023 Pokémon World Championships in Yokohama, Japan, with a Pokémon Center Japan commemorative release following shortly after. It is a 30-card pre-constructed deck led by Pikachu ex (001/030), stamped with the Yokohama World Championships mark. Every copy on the secondary market today is a direct Japanese import.
There is no English equivalent for this specific product. The commercially sold EN "2023 World Championship Decks" are four separate 60-card competitive player decklists, a completely different item with different contents and different pricing.
If the Yokohama commemorative deck is what you are after, importing is the only path. DexHaul's Japanese cards collection shows every seller currently in stock side by side.

What's different in the box
The Yokohama Deck is a 30-card pre-constructed deck built around Pikachu ex as the headline attacker, with supporting Pokémon, Trainer cards, and Lightning Energy. It is not a booster experience. There are no pack pulls.
| Item | Yokohama Deck (JP, WCS23) | EN 2023 WCS Decks |
|---|---|---|
| Card count | 30 | 60 (per deck) |
| Headline card | Pikachu ex 001/030, Yokohama stamp | Player-specific promo (Tord Reklev, Grafton Roll, etc.) |
| Language | Japanese | English |
| Collector value | High: event-exclusive stamp, no reprint | Moderate: competitive archive value |
| Play use | Casual Japanese leagues only | Casual play, collection |
| Packaging | Commemorative box with Yokohama branding | Standard WCS deck packaging |
The deck is playable but was built as a commemorative item, not a competitive tool. Treat it like an event souvenir that happens to come in deck form.
Pikachu ex (001/030): the card that has no English print
Pikachu ex numbered 001/030 is the headline card of the WCS23 set. It carries a Yokohama World Championships 2023 event stamp and has never appeared in a commercially sold English product.
| Card | JP # | JP Set | EN Equivalent | EN Set |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Pikachu ex | 001/030 | WCS23 | No direct EN print | N/A |
| Supporting Pokémon | 002–010/030 | WCS23 | Equivalents exist in SV base and SV1a | Scarlet & Violet base, Paldea Evolved |
| Trainer cards | 011–025/030 | WCS23 | Equivalents exist in SV base | Scarlet & Violet base |
| Lightning Energy | 026–030/030 | WCS23 | Standard basic Energy | Any set |
The Pikachu ex itself is the reason collectors pay the import premium. The rest of the deck uses familiar SV-era cards available in English, making the 001/030 slot the sole unique acquisition in the set.
Japanese or English: what to weigh before you buy
Price per card
Sealed Yokohama Decks were observed at $302–$842 in October 2026, across 46 import sellers. The wide range reflects seller location, condition claims, and packaging completeness. The EN 2023 WCS retail decks sit at $19.99–$47 sealed, a fraction of the cost, because they were produced at commercial volume and sold worldwide.
Tournament legality
Neither the JP Yokohama Deck nor the EN WCS decks are legal in any official Pokémon TCG format: Standard, Expanded, or otherwise. World Championship promo sets are commemorative items by design, not tournament tools. Do not buy this as a competitive investment.
Language barrier
All 30 cards in the Yokohama Deck are Japanese. Trainer card text is dense; you will want a translation reference for casual play. Pikachu ex (001/030) is the visual centerpiece and the reason most collectors import the deck, so language is rarely a dealbreaker for the collector use case.
Grading and long-term holding
PSA 10 copies of Pikachu ex 001/030 have been observed at $779–$994 on DexHaul sellers in October 2026. The card's event-stamp, limited print run, and lack of any English reprint have driven that premium.
Grading a fresh sealed copy is the path some collectors take: one pull, one submission, one card with documented provenance. Whether that premium holds is not a claim DexHaul makes; check seller listings for current prices and grade populations.
