Marketplace prices and per-pack math
The official product page does not list an MSRP. Independent seller prices on DexHaul as of October 12, 2026, span a wide range because this is a 2023 product trading at collector premiums three years after launch.
| Price point | Amount | Per-pack equivalent (6 packs) |
|---|---|---|
| Floor (observed Oct 12, 2026) | $162 USD | $27.00 per pack |
| Mid-range (observed Oct 12, 2026) | $320 USD | $53.33 per pack |
Those per-pack numbers are high compared to standard booster pricing. The collector premium is driven almost entirely by the etched foil Charizard ex promo, which is not available through any booster pack.

How it compares to nearby products
Two products are commonly confused with this collection. One is a smaller format; the other is a larger 2024 upgrade.

The etched foil promo: what makes it different
The Charizard ex in this collection is a Darkness-type Tera Pokémon.
In the standard booster pool, Charizard ex appeared as a Double Rare and a Special Illustration Rare, both using standard foil treatments applied to booster-pull cards. The etched foil treatment on this promo is applied to the entire card surface with a texture pattern not found in the booster pool, making it visually distinct from every booster-pull version of the same card.
Collectors who want the etched Tera Darkness Charizard ex can only get it through this collection or the sealed secondary market. No booster pack from any set contains this specific finish.
Who this collection is for, and who should skip it
Buy it if you specifically want the etched promo
No other product gives you the etched foil Tera Darkness Charizard ex. If that card is the target, this is the only path to it sealed.
Buy it if you want a ready-to-display card case
The magnetic display case is a standalone accessory that retails separately at collector stores. Getting it bundled with three promo cards and six booster packs is efficient if you planned to buy a case anyway.
Skip it if you are primarily after booster packs
Six packs at $162 USD floor works out to $27 per pack. The Obsidian Flames Booster Box delivers 36 packs with a much lower per-pack cost. If packs are the goal, the booster box is the better route.
Skip it if the 2024 Super Premium Collection covers your needs
The Charizard ex Super Premium Collection from 2024 is currently available at lower prices with different promo cards and more packs. If you do not specifically want the 2023 etched promo, the 2024 product may suit you better for current market value.
