MSRP and price per pack
The box shipped at $21.99 MSRP, putting the per-pack cost at $5.49 at launch. That is marginally cheaper per pack than the Journey Together ETB at its $49.99 MSRP ($5.55 per pack). Secondary market prices have moved significantly above MSRP for both products.
| Price point | Total cost | Cost per pack | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| MSRP at launch (March 2025) | $21.99 | $5.49 | No longer available at MSRP; source: ICv2 |
| Current floor (observed October 6, 2026) | $29.99 | $7.49 | CARDPOPUSA listing, in stock |
| Current ceiling (observed October 6, 2026) | $51.99 | $12.99 | Platinum Packs listing, in stock |
The $22 spread between floor and ceiling is entirely a seller-margin difference on the same product. There is no content or variant distinction between a $29.99 listing and a $51.99 listing.
How it compares to other Journey Together products
Three Journey Together formats are currently in stock. The box sits at the lowest entry cost; the ETB gives the most packs.
| Product | MSRP | Packs | MSRP per pack | Promo/exclusive |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Hop's Zacian ex Box | $21.99 | 4 | $5.49 | Foil Hop's Zacian ex promo, oversize card, Wooloo + Dubwool foils, photo sticker, TCG Live code |
| Iono's Bellibolt ex Premium Collection | $39.99 | 6 | $6.67 | Foil Iono's Bellibolt ex promo, acrylic standee + backdrop display set |
| Journey Together Elite Trainer Box | $49.99 | 9 | $5.55 | Foil promo + sleeves, dice, deck box, damage counters |
The box and the ETB are nearly identical on per-pack cost at MSRP. The box wins for buyers who want the Hop character narrative: the promo, oversize card, Wooloo, and Dubwool are all unavailable in any other product.
Release timeline
Journey Together (SV09) and all its associated products, including the Hop's Zacian ex Box, launched simultaneously on March 28, 2025. The set introduced Hop alongside N, Iono, and Lillie as featured Trainers, meaning their Pokémon appear both in booster packs and in the dedicated trainer boxes.
No reprint or variant of the Hop's Zacian ex Box has been announced as of October 2026. The promo card and the Wooloo and Dubwool foils are exclusive to this product format.
Who it's for, and who should skip it
Buy this box if you want the foil Hop's Zacian ex promo card in sealed form, you collect Hop's team specifically, or you want an entry-level Journey Together product with a narrative beyond just booster packs.
The promo Hop's Zacian ex has a distinct print separate from the in-set 111/159 regular version and the 186/159 Special Illustration Rare (SIR) pulled from booster packs. All three are different card prints of the same character. This box is the only sealed retail source for the promo version.
Skip it if you need accessories for play. The box has no sleeves, dice, or deck box.
The Journey Together ETB covers those needs and gives more than twice the packs. Skip it also if the Hop character is not your focus and you want pure pack-per-dollar value.
Frequently asked questions
