Zacian and Zamazenta in 2026: Which Sealed Product Is Worth the Price?

Six years after Pokémon Sword and Shield launched in November 2019, the cover legendaries are still generating sealed collector demand.

Zacian and Zamazenta anchored the SWSH era from its first day and closed it. Both appeared as featured cards in Crown Zenith, the final Sword and Shield main-series set released in January 2023. With the Scarlet and Violet era now fully established and SWSH out of print, factory-sealed SWSH products carry a completed-era premium that tends to grow rather than shrink.

The question for collectors in 2026 is which sealed format to prioritize: the individual ETB Plus boxes, the Ultra-Premium Collection, or both.

Starting with singles: Crown Zenith access

If you want Zacian and Zamazenta in your binder without paying launch-era sealed prices, Crown Zenith is the cleaner entry point.

The final SWSH set included both legendaries in its Galactic Gallery subset. Zacian V appears at GG48, a distinctive holofoil art that reads as the definitive collector's version of the card, currently trading around $29 raw.

The standard Crown Zenith pressing, Zacian V 095/159, sits at $3 from multiple sellers. Zamazenta V has comparable printings in both the main set and the Galactic Gallery at similar price points.

These are the most cost-effective way to add both cover legendaries to a collection. They also let you evaluate the art before committing to any sealed product.

The ETB Plus: the individual legendary format

The Elite Trainer Box Plus was a premium tier above the standard ETB, and it was released for the SWSH Base Set specifically.

Each box featured its own legendary: an ETB Plus for Zacian, a separate one for Zamazenta. The format included a jumbo oversized promo card for the respective cover legendary alongside premium accessories that the standard ETB did not carry. Collectors focused on a single legendary have always had a clear target here.

Pricing varies considerably by seller and condition in 2026. The Zamazenta ETB Plus ranges from $168.99 at OneStopTCG to $253 at Hobbiesville.

The Zacian version is in a similar band depending on which market you search. Neither is cheap, but both remain accessible compared to comparably aged sealed SWSH premium products that have moved further from their launch prices.

One thing worth knowing: the ETB Plus format exists for only two sets in the entire SWSH era. The Sword and Shield Base Set used it to launch the pair; no other SWSH release received the same treatment. That uniqueness makes the ETB Plus boxes a distinct sealed artifact of the SWSH launch rather than a routine product variant.

The Ultra-Premium Collection: both legendaries in one box

The SWSH Ultra-Premium Collection is the definitive paired product for Zacian and Zamazenta.

It bundles both cover legendaries into a single factory-sealed collector's box with full-art promo cards for both, oversized promos, metal figures of both Zacian and Zamazenta, premium coin accessories, and a large collector's presentation box. It is the only SWSH product that keeps both legendaries together in the same sealed unit.

REV Collectibles lists it at $349.95; Level Up Games MD at $414.99. The spread between sellers is wide enough that a quick price-check before committing is always worth doing.

The price comparison most buyers get wrong

Here is the part that most sealed buying guides skip over entirely.

At $168.99 per ETB Plus (the current low for the Zamazenta version), two individual ETB Plus boxes cost roughly $338 assuming you can find both at that price point. The UPC at $349.95 is only $12 more. At $217 per box (the mid-market rate), two ETBs come to $434, which is meaningfully more than the UPC's entry price.

The UPC wins on price across most of the realistic range for two ETB Plus boxes. But more importantly: it includes items the two individual ETB Plus boxes do not have.

The metal figures and the combined collector's box are UPC-exclusive. That full contents set cannot be assembled by purchasing the two ETB Plus boxes separately.

Some sellers list the ETB Plus pair already bundled. yellowboxcollectables has the Zacian and Zamazenta ETB Plus Set of 2 at $647, which is around $300 more than the UPC's entry price.

That premium buys the individual packaging for both boxes and the distinct presentation of two separate products side by side. For display-focused collectors, that distinction matters. For sealed-value prioritization, the UPC is the more efficient path.

Which format to buy

The ETB Plus is the right format when you want to focus on one legendary specifically, whether for a character collection or because you have a strong personal preference for Zacian over Zamazenta (or vice versa). Each box is self-contained and presents its legendary as the primary subject.

The UPC is the right format for collectors who want both legendaries in a single factory-sealed unit. It is the harder product to source at the low end of the pricing range, but it is the only SWSH product that keeps both together with the full premium accessory set intact.

Crown Zenith singles are the right starting point for anyone who wants the cards in hand before deciding whether sealed products make sense for their collection. Zacian V GG48 at $29 is a genuine collector's card; picking it up first costs nothing against a future sealed purchase and helps clarify which direction the collection is heading.

All three formats sit at different points on the same collecting ladder. The SWSH era is closed, which means the inventory of sealed products is not growing. The direction of that market tends to be one way.
