Iono's Bellibolt ex vs Masks of Ogerpon: Which to Buy (2026)
By Dexhaul Team · October 7, 2026 · 5 min read
Two packs are better than one, but ten packs can still lose to six if you want the right thing.
Buy Iono's Bellibolt ex Premium Collection if you want the exclusive display accessories: the acrylic standees and double-sided backdrop exist in no other Journey Together sealed product. Buy Masks of Ogerpon if pack value is the goal: ten packs for $49.99 MSRP is $4.99 per pack, 25 percent less than Bellibolt's $6.67 rate.
Both collections were announced by ICv2 and launched in 2025. Neither requires a prior purchase to make sense.

Where Iono's Bellibolt ex wins
The only Journey Together display set
The acrylic standee sheet and double-sided backdrop are unique to this box. No other Journey Together product, including the Enhanced Booster Box or the ETB, includes a dedicated character display accessory for Iono.
The standees feature Iono, Bellibolt, and additional character art. The double-sided backdrop provides a scene for photographing the display or shelving it as a miniature diorama. For anyone building an Iono fan shelf, this is the defining piece.
Two promos for a lower price
Bellibolt delivers both Iono's Bellibolt ex in full-art foil and Iono's Tadbulb in foil, plus the physical accessories, for $39.99 MSRP. The $10 lower entry point matters when secondary market prices creep upward on both collections.
The Bellibolt ex promo carries its own SVP promo number, distinct from any in-set version. Completing an Iono's Bellibolt ex print run requires this collection. A full component-by-component breakdown is in the Iono's Bellibolt ex worth-it guide.
One fixed set of packs
Six Journey Together packs means you know exactly what you are opening. Journey Together (SV09) contains 193 cards per Serebii, with chase cards including Iono's Bellibolt ex, Cynthia's Garchomp ex, and Charizard ex. There is no uncertainty about pack artwork or set distribution.
Where Masks of Ogerpon wins
25 percent better per-pack rate at MSRP
At $49.99 MSRP for ten packs, Masks of Ogerpon costs $4.99 per pack. Bellibolt is $6.67 per pack. On a strict pack-opening budget, ten packs for $49.99 is the obvious choice, even though the total sticker price is $10 higher.
The ten packs are drawn from assorted SV-era sets, so exact set distribution varies by unit. This means you could pull from multiple different sets in a single purchase. For collectors focused purely on pulling SV-era cards, the Masks collection delivers more attempts per dollar spent.
Two Ogerpon Mask forms in one purchase
The Masks of Ogerpon collection includes both the Hearthflame Mask Ogerpon ex foil promo and the Wellspring Mask Ogerpon ex foil promo, announced in ICv2's April 2025 reveal. The separately sold November 2024 Ogerpon ex Premium Collection only included Teal Mask Ogerpon ex.
If you are building a complete Ogerpon Mask form promo collection, this box covers two forms at once. Buying each promo separately on the secondary market would cost more than the $49.99 MSRP. The Ogerpon ex Premium Collection guide covers the earlier November 2024 Teal Mask version for additional context.
Oversize card as a display piece
The oversize Hearthflame Mask Ogerpon ex foil card is a shelf display in itself. Oversize cards are not tournament-legal, but they are a standard premium collection bonus that the Bellibolt box does not include.
The deciding question
Are you buying this for Iono specifically, or for Ogerpon's Mask forms?
Bellibolt is the Iono purchase. The display accessories are unique to this product, the price is lower, and the packs are from a defined set. If Iono's character is the draw, Bellibolt is the only option that ships with a dedicated display.
Masks of Ogerpon is the pack-value purchase and the Ogerpon completionist purchase. Ten packs at a better per-pack rate, plus two different Mask form promos, makes it the stronger sealed product on raw contents. The secondary market has pushed prices above MSRP, so buying at or near $49.99 is the target.
Opener or displayer: Bellibolt rewards display collectors. Ogerpon rewards pack openers and Ogerpon Mask completionists. Gift angle: Bellibolt's $39.99 price point and the physical display accessories make it the more presentable gift box at the lower budget; Ogerpon's ten packs are the stronger pack-opening experience for TCG players who want to open more cards.
FAQ
When did each collection release?
Iono's Bellibolt ex Premium Collection released April 11, 2025. Masks of Ogerpon ex Premium Collection released July 18, 2025. Both are 2025 Scarlet and Violet era products.
What sets are the 10 packs in Masks of Ogerpon?
The product listing specifies "assorted SV-era booster packs" with set distribution varying by unit. The exact sets are not fixed, so individual boxes may contain different set combinations from the Scarlet and Violet series.
Is the Iono's Bellibolt ex promo exclusive to this collection?
Yes. The full-art foil Iono's Bellibolt ex in this collection carries a distinct SVP promo number that does not appear in any standard Journey Together booster pack. It is the only sealed product containing this version.
Are these collections still at MSRP?
As of October 7, 2026, Bellibolt is available at $39.99 USD MSRP from at least one seller. Masks of Ogerpon is trading above its $49.99 MSRP, with observed prices from $60.90 to $95.00 USD on the secondary market. Buy at or near MSRP when possible to capture the per-pack value case.
Which one is the better gift box?
Bellibolt at $39.99 with the physical display accessories, standees, and backdrop makes a more visually complete gift. Masks of Ogerpon is the stronger pick for a TCG player who wants to open more packs, since ten packs at the $49.99 MSRP gives more opening sessions than six Journey Together packs.
