Paradox Rift Elite Trainer Box: Contents and MSRP (SV04 2023)
By Dexhaul Team · October 5, 2026
The Paradox Rift Elite Trainer Box (ETB) comes in two versions, Roaring Moon and Iron Valiant, and both contain 9 booster packs from the Scarlet & Violet Paradox Rift set. Confirmed on the official Pokémon product page, each ETB also includes one full-art foil promo card (Scream Tail for Roaring Moon, Iron Bundle for Iron Valiant), 65 themed card sleeves, accessories, and a collector's box. Set SV04 launched November 3, 2023.
Both versions cost the same at MSRP and pull from the same booster packs. The version you choose changes only the promo card, sleeve artwork, and coin design, not your odds at any chase card in the set. For a full look at what to expect from ETBs across every current set, the Elite Trainer Box guide has the in-print lineup.

Serebii's Paradox Rift card list covers the full set roster and confirms both are legitimate set cards with an exclusive promo treatment.
MSRP and price per pack
| Product | MSRP | Packs | MSRP per pack | Observed price (Oct 5, 2026) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Paradox Rift ETB (Roaring Moon) | $49.99 | 9 | $5.55 | $145.00 |

The Pokémon Center exclusive ETBs added two extra packs (11 total) and a different alternate-art promo card exclusive to that version. Those are now sold out at Pokémon Center but continue to circulate through independent shops, which is why you see them listed above the standard versions.
At MSRP, both ETBs land at $5.55 per pack. That is the standard rate across the SV era and a fair entry point for a 2023 set with strong chase cards still in circulation.

Who should buy the Paradox Rift ETB, and who should skip it
The Paradox Rift ETB is a strong pick for collectors who want a sealed, unopened box from a completed 2023 set with iconic Paradox Pokémon.
Buy the Roaring Moon version if
You prefer Ancient Paradox Pokémon: Roaring Moon, Scream Tail, Brute Bonnet, Flutter Mane, Sandy Shocks. The promo Scream Tail full-art and the Roaring Moon-themed sleeves make it the better display piece for fans of the Ancient side. Competitively, Roaring Moon ex was among the standout ex cards from this set and remains popular in single-card collections.
Buy the Iron Valiant version if
You prefer Future Paradox Pokémon: Iron Valiant, Iron Bundle, Iron Hands, Iron Moth. The Iron Bundle promo and Iron Valiant sleeve art suit collectors drawn to the futuristic design language. Iron Valiant ex is another strong pull from the set's Secret Rare tier.
Skip the Paradox Rift ETB if
You are buying strictly to open packs. The aftermarket price is now well above $49.99 MSRP, which makes the per-pack cost much higher than a fresh in-print set.

FAQ
Does the Paradox Rift ETB version affect which cards you pull?
No. Both versions include nine identical Paradox Rift booster packs that pull from the same card pool.
The only differences are the promo card, sleeve artwork, and coin design. Your odds at any chase card are exactly the same regardless of which version you open.
What is the Scream Tail promo card?
Scream Tail is the Ancient Paradox Pokémon based on Jigglypuff. The ETB promo is a full-art foil version exclusive to the Roaring Moon Elite Trainer Box. It does not appear as a promo in booster packs.
What is the Paradox Rift Pokémon Center Exclusive ETB?
The Pokémon Center sold exclusive versions of both ETBs with 11 packs instead of 9 and a different alternate-art promo card unique to that edition. Those have been discontinued at Pokémon Center but trade through independent shops, typically above the standard ETB price.
Is the Paradox Rift ETB worth buying in 2026?
For collectors who want a sealed box from this specific 2023 set, yes. For pure pack-opening value, the aftermarket price is significantly above MSRP, making a current in-print set a better deal per pack.
What is the difference between the Paradox Rift ETB and the booster box?
The Paradox Rift booster box contains 36 packs with no accessories or promo cards. The ETB gives 9 packs plus sleeves, energy, dice, and a promo. The booster box is the better choice for bulk pack-opening; the ETB adds extras suited to a player setting up a new collection.
