Paradox Rift Build & Battle Stadium (2023): Contents and MSRP
By Dexhaul Team · October 9, 2026 · 6 min read
The Paradox Rift Build & Battle Stadium contains 12 booster packs, two 40-card ready-to-play decks, and two foil promo cards. MSRP was $49.99 at launch on November 17, 2023, two weeks after the Paradox Rift set itself.
It is the only product in the Scarlet & Violet Paradox Rift lineup that lets two people sit down and play a real TCG game without anything extra. That is its entire purpose.
What's inside the Paradox Rift Build & Battle Stadium
The Stadium is a two-player kit built from two separate Paradox Rift Build & Battle Boxes, plus four extra packs and basic accessories. Each B&B Box inside the Stadium is a complete unit on its own, which means the Stadium's contents split cleanly into what each player gets.
| Item | Quantity | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Paradox Rift booster packs | 12 | 8 from the two B&B Boxes (4 each) + 4 extra packs; 10 cards per pack |
| Ready-to-play 40-card decks | 2 | One per B&B Box; each deck is unique and playable immediately |
| Foil promo cards | 2 | One per B&B Box; drawn from the Paradox Rift promo pool (see below) |
| Basic Energy cards | Included | Standard Scarlet & Violet-era Energy cards |
| Accessories | Included | Damage counters, coin, status markers |
The four foil promos available in Paradox Rift B&B Boxes are Chi-Yu, Iron Bundle, Xatu, and Aegislash. Each box is packed with one of these four promos, so a Stadium buyer receives any two from that pool. There is no guarantee of getting two different promos; two Chi-Yu promos in one Stadium is a real possibility.

MSRP and price per pack
The Paradox Rift Build & Battle Stadium had an MSRP of $49.99, matching every other Scarlet & Violet era Build & Battle Stadium. At that price the per-pack math worked out to just under $4.17 per pack, but the headline number understates the value: two decks are included, which would cost you more to build separately.
| Product | MSRP | Packs | Per pack | Decks included |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Build & Battle Stadium | $49.99 | 12 | $4.17 | 2 (40 cards each) |
| Build & Battle Box (single) | $19.99 | 4 | $4.99 | 1 (40 cards) |
| Elite Trainer Box | $49.99 | 9 | $5.55 | None |
Two single B&B Boxes at MSRP cost $39.98 for 8 packs and 2 decks. The Stadium added 4 more packs for $10 more, roughly the price of two sleeved boosters. That made the Stadium the better value for anyone buying for two players.
Secondary-market prices observed October 9, 2026 range from approximately $78 to $149. The premium reflects the Stadium's discontinued status: no new copies enter the channel once retail stock clears.
How the Stadium compares to other Paradox Rift products
The Paradox Rift set launched with several different entry points. Here is how the Stadium sits alongside the three closest alternatives for a buyer deciding where to spend.
| Product | MSRP | Packs | Promo(s) | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Build & Battle Stadium | $49.99 | 12 | 2 (from Chi-Yu, Iron Bundle, Xatu, Aegislash) | Two players; gift for siblings or partners |
| Elite Trainer Box | $49.99 | 9 | 1 (Scream Tail or Iron Bundle full-art) | One collector; includes sleeves, dice, full accessories |
| Build & Battle Box | $19.99 | 4 | 1 | One player; lowest entry cost |
| Booster Box | $143.64 | 36 | None | Dedicated collectors; maximum pack count |
One distinction: the ETB includes 65 card sleeves, a deck box, 45 basic Energy, and dice. The Stadium has none of those accessories. A player who wants to sleeve their deck's cards would need to budget for sleeves separately.
Release timeline
Paradox Rift was a large Scarlet & Violet set covering both the Ancient and Future Paradox Pokémon from the Scarlet and Violet games. It was the fourth main Scarlet & Violet expansion (SV04).
| Date | Event | Source |
|---|---|---|
| October 20–29, 2023 | Prerelease events at local game stores using Build & Battle Boxes | Bulbapedia / event calendar |
| November 3, 2023 | Paradox Rift (SV04) set launch: ETB, Booster Box, B&B Box all release | pokemon.com gallery |
| November 17, 2023 | Build & Battle Stadium release | pokemon.com product gallery |
The two-week gap between the set launch and the Stadium is standard across all Scarlet & Violet era sets. The B&B Box ships first so local stores can run prerelease events; the Stadium follows once the set is in wide release and the gift-buying window opens.
Who should buy it, and who should skip it
Buy it if you need two players to start
The Stadium is the only Paradox Rift product that equips two players at once. For siblings, partners, or a parent and child picking up the TCG together, it costs less than two separate B&B Boxes plus the extra packs you would need to match the pack count.
Buy it as a gift for a pair
It boxes well, and the two-deck format communicates its purpose at a glance. If you are buying for two people who play together, this is the cleaner option over two separate products.
Skip it if you only want packs
At secondary-market prices of $78 to $149, the Stadium is no longer the value product it was at MSRP. A buyer focused on pack count gets better value from a Paradox Rift Booster Box (36 packs) or the ETB (9 packs with full accessories).
Skip it if you want collector accessories
The Stadium ships with nothing for card storage or display. No sleeves, no deck box, no coin set beyond the basics. A collector who plans to sleeve their pulls should look at the ETB instead.
Paradox Rift contains 266 cards per Serebii's full set list, including 84 Secret Rares. The 12 Stadium packs pull from that complete pool at standard odds.
