ex★ is now official.

Worlds 2026 confirmed the full roster for Aura Seeker ME07: Mega Lucario Z ex, Suicune, Entei, and Raikou are the four Pokémon getting ex★ cards. English pre-orders are open now, with the Japanese release set for November 27, 2026. If you collect the ME series seriously, the roster confirmation is the signal to take stock of what you own for each of these four characters before the set launches.

This guide covers each confirmed ex★ Pokémon, their current best-available card, and the entry point that makes sense for where you are in the collection.

Why the Roster Matters Before Launch

Three of the four confirmed ex★ Pokémon share something no prior ME set has produced. Suicune, Entei, and Raikou have never received a Mega Evolution form in any mainline Pokémon game.

Every ME series SIR before Aura Seeker has featured a Pokémon that can actually Mega Evolve in X, Y, or ORAS. ex★ breaks that rule for three cards at once.

What that means practically: the Johto Legendary Beasts are entering the ME series' highest rarity tier without a gameplay anchor. Their value as ex★ cards will be driven entirely by collector demand, not by any competitive-play connection to Mega forms.

The same was true for Gold Star cards in 2004-2006: a small set of Pokémon received above-ceiling numbered ultra-rares with no competitive relevance. Collectors who understand that parallel have context the product pages do not provide.

Mega Lucario Z ex

Mega Lucario Z ex is the headliner. The "Z" designation distinguishes it from the existing Mega Lucario ex in ME01, which already trades as an SIR at 179/132 and 188/132.

The ME01 SIR (179/132) currently spans $181 to $247 across active sellers. That card is the arc's established reference point for what Mega Lucario at the top rarity tier looks like in the English market. For collectors who want a Mega Lucario card now rather than waiting until November, the ME01 SIR is the product, and $181 at Vegas Singles is the current floor.

For a lower-cost entry on the same character, the ME01 promo Mega Lucario ex (033 MEP) runs $10 to $11. That card is product-exclusive to Figure Collections: it cannot be pulled from ME01 boosters. It is a legitimate Mega Lucario ex card at a fraction of the SIR price, useful for collectors who want the character at a low buy-in ahead of the ex★ release.

Suicune ex★

Suicune is the only one of the three Legendary Beasts to appear as a Gold Star card in the English TCG. Suicune ★ 115/115 from EX Unseen Forces (2005) currently lists at $1,200 raw and $3,134 in Beckett 7 condition.

Gold Stars used above-ceiling numbering for a limited-roster prestige tier: a small set of Pokémon, numbered past the set total, with no competitive relevance. That is the same structure ex★ uses. Suicune has a documented 20-year collector ceiling that its lower-rarity cards have never reached.

The most accessible current TCG product with a Suicune card is the Knock Out Collection at $16.99 to $22. It contains two booster packs and a Suicune promotional card. For collectors who want any Suicune TCG card in hand before ME07 launches, this is the lowest-cost legitimate option currently in stock.

For a higher-rarity current Suicune card, the VSTAR Universe Suicune V SAR 215/172 is the Japanese option at $37 to $55 ungraded. The card is numbered above the VSTAR Universe set ceiling of 172, using the same above-ceiling convention that ex★ will use. It is an import-only card with no direct English equivalent.

Entei ex★

Entei's deepest collector card in the English TCG is the Neo Revelation Holo 6/64 from 2001. Raw copies currently list at $99.99 to $344.99 depending on condition, with the wide spread reflecting LP versus NM grading. For context on where the character sits historically: this is a 25-year-old WOTC holo from the second generation of the TCG, and it is still the peak English Entei card available in current stock.

For a much lower entry, the 2001 WoTC Black Star Movie Promo Entei (34/53) is available sealed at $33.99 to $34.99. The movie promo is a separate card from the Neo Revelation holo, with different artwork and a Black Star promo stamp. Collectors who want a physical Entei card at a sub-$35 price point while waiting for the ex★ version have this as the accessible option.

Entei has fewer in-stock options across sellers than Suicune, partly because its best-known card is a 25-year-old WOTC holo with limited supply. The ex★ card will be the first time a modern-era Entei card reaches the highest rarity tier in any format.

Raikou ex★

Raikou completes the Johto Legendary Beast trio confirmed for Aura Seeker. The character's highest-rarity Japanese card currently in stock is the VSTAR Universe V SAR 218/172 at $35 to $37 ungraded. Like the Suicune SAR, it is numbered above the set ceiling of 172 and uses full illustration art across the entire card face.

For English Raikou, the Secret Wonders holo 16/132 is available at $21 to $39.99 depending on condition. Diamond and Pearl era, 2007 release, holo rare. Not a prestige card on the level of Entei's Neo Revelation holo, but it is the best English Raikou holo currently catalogued in stock at a reasonable price.

Raikou's gap between current highest-rarity English card and the upcoming ex★ is wide. That mirrors Entei's situation. Both Pokémon have spent most of the modern SV era without a notable high-rarity treatment in English, making the Aura Seeker ex★ designation a genuine step up for both characters.

What the Four-Character Roster Tells Collectors

Worlds 2026 closed the speculation window on which characters get ex★ cards in ME07.

The confirmed roster answers the question most collectors had: is ex★ going to be a small set of iconic Pokémon, or does it expand across the series over time? The answer for ME07 is four specific characters, one with an existing Mega form and three without.

Mega Lucario Z ex carries the arc's established character demand. The three Johto beasts bring a different dynamic: collector interest driven entirely by character nostalgia and a 25-year TCG history, with no game-canon Mega anchor. For Suicune specifically, the Gold Star precedent suggests the character has a prestige ceiling that its current affordable cards do not reflect.

Pre-orders for the ME07 ETB are currently open with acrylic case bundles at $109 to $124 across independent sellers. The Japanese release is November 27, 2026. That is eight weeks away as of this article.
