Duskull, Dusclops, and Dusknoir Collector's Guide 2026: The Shrouded Fable Sweep and Every Entry Point

Shrouded Fable did something for the Dusk evolution line that no English TCG set had done before: it assigned all three forms, Duskull, Dusclops, and Dusknoir, consecutive above-set Illustration Rare slots (068/064, 069/064, and 070/064) within a single 64-card set.

That makes Shrouded Fable the highest-priority set for any Dusk line collector right now. The Dusknoir Fit plush is the floor for merchandise collectors at $21, and the trio's above-set IRs range from $27 to $86 depending on form and seller.

This guide covers the full picture: the Shrouded Fable sweep, the complete Fit plush ladder, the Brilliant Stars Trainer Gallery bridge, and why the vintage EX era still matters for the evolution line.

The Shrouded Fable sweep: 068, 069, 070

Shrouded Fable is a Ghost and Psychic-themed sub-set released in August 2024, built around the Loyal Three and Pecharunt lore from Scarlet and Violet's Indigo Disk DLC. Its main set runs to 064 cards. Cards numbered above that threshold carry above-set Illustration Rare designation.

Duskull landed at 068/064. Dusclops followed at 069/064. Dusknoir closed the sequence at 070/064.

Three consecutive slots, one complete evolution line, one set. No prior English TCG set had placed all three Dusk forms in above-set positions simultaneously.

Before Shrouded Fable, only Dusknoir had appeared above a set total, via the Trainer Gallery at TG06/TG30 in Brilliant Stars (2022). Dusclops and Duskull had never held an above-set position in any English release outside of Crown Zenith's Galarian Gallery for Duskull (GG28/GG70). The Shrouded Fable sweep is the first time Dusclops reached that tier at all.

Current market spreads (raw NM): Dusknoir 070/064 runs $32–45; Dusclops 069/064 runs $27–66; Duskull 068/064 runs $48–86. Duskull commands the highest floor of the three, which is unusual for a basic form versus its evolutions. The artwork treatment, a dynamic full-bleed Illustration Rare, likely drives that premium over the middle stage.

The common versions within the main set tell the other side of the story. Dusknoir 020/064 lists at $0.50, Dusclops 019/064 at around $1, Duskull 018/064 at $0.25. The spread from common to IR within Shrouded Fable is 64–344x depending on the form and listing, driven entirely by art tier.

Shrouded Fable also released a Dusknoir Mini Tin, packaging two SFA booster packs with a promo card and using Dusknoir as the featured artwork. That makes the Mini Tin the only sealed product in any language where Dusknoir is the face of the packaging.

The Fit plush ladder: all three forms in stock

All three Dusk forms have Pokémon Fit plush entries: small, palm-sized weighted plush from Pokémon Center Japan, distributed through importers.

Duskull sits at the low end: $17 floor at Ichiba Japan, running to $25–30 at higher-margin importers for the same product. Dusclops Fit lists at $19 from Ichiba Japan. Dusknoir Fit starts at $21 from the same source, reaching $25–37 elsewhere.

The price gradient across the three forms is narrow. Dusknoir as the final evolution commands only a $4–5 premium over Duskull at the floor. For collectors building the complete plush trio, the total floor outlay is around $57–60 across all three forms, which is competitive against a single character plush line in most other franchises.

None of the three forms have large-scale western retail distribution. Pokémon Fit plush are a Japanese Pokémon Center exclusive line and reach western buyers only through importers, which explains why prices vary widely between sellers for an identical product.

The Brilliant Stars Trainer Gallery: Dusknoir's solo above-set run

Before Shrouded Fable gave the whole line above-set treatment, Dusknoir held a solo above-set position in Brilliant Stars (February 2022): TG06/TG30 in the Trainer Gallery subset.

The Trainer Gallery TG06 trades at $2.82–3.00 raw NM today. The set appeared in a strong competitive window for the SW&H era and the card carried Dusknoir's distinctive design, but Trainer Gallery demand for non-featured Pokémon stayed modest. At $3, it is the most accessible above-set Dusknoir card and a natural entry point for collectors who want the full above-set history before acquiring the Shrouded Fable IRs.

Dusknoir also appeared as a standard holo in Brilliant Stars 62/172 at $2. The pairing of a $2 holo and a $3 Trainer Gallery from the same set is unusual; most sets show a wider spread between standard holos and above-set cards. The compressed gap here reflects both cards' relatively low demand compared to the era's chase Pokémon.

No V, VMAX, VSTAR, or English ex: what that means for the collector ceiling

The Dusk evolution line has never received a GX, V, VMAX, VSTAR, or English SV-era ex designation. The line spans two generations, appears as a Ghost type in a Ghost-type flagship set, and still has no English premium-mechanic card for any of its three forms.

That makes the Shrouded Fable IRs the highest-rarity English cards the Dusk line has ever received. There is no Dusknoir ex waiting behind the Shrouded Fable IR on the collector ladder. What exists now is the ceiling.

Dusknoir's evolution from Dusclops requires a Reaper Cloth held item during a trade. That trade-item evolution mechanic placed Dusknoir among a small group of Generation 4 Pokémon with an item-gated evolution, a group that also includes Electivire, Magmortar, and Rhyperior.

In-game, this evolution requirement is procedurally demanding by main-series standards. In the TCG, it is irrelevant: the collector ceiling is the same Illustration Rare whether you evolved the card in a game or not.

For Japanese collectors, the parallel in SV6a Night Wonderer (the Japanese equivalent of Shrouded Fable) shows Duskull AR 068/064 at $9.16 and Dusknoir AR 070/064 at $6.83. The Japanese versions trade at roughly one-fifth the English price, a typical gap for Illustration Rare-tier cards where English print runs are smaller relative to demand.

EX era vintage: Dusclops ex as the pre-Dusknoir ceiling

Dusknoir did not exist until Generation 4 (2007 EN), so the entire EX era of the TCG covers only Duskull and Dusclops. The most notable vintage card is Dusclops ex 94/106 from EX Emerald (2005) at $65.99, a full-art-style EX card with holofoil treatment.

EX Sandstorm (2003) contributed Dusclops 4/100 as a standard holo at $18.85. That card predates the EX mechanic for the line itself, placing Dusclops as a supporting holo in Sandstorm's non-ex rare section. The 2003 print run and condition scarcity account for the price premium over newer singles.

Dusknoir entered the TCG in the Diamond and Pearl era, debuting as card 1/100 in DP: Stormfront (2008), at the top of the holo rare block. That Stormfront holo lists at $11.10 today.

For collectors who want the full era sweep, the DP era entry is accessible and the EX era sits above it for Dusclops specifically. No Duskull single from either era trades above $20 at raw grades in current market listings.
