Nidorina and Nidoqueen Collector's Guide 2026: The Oct 2 Promo, the Jungle Holo, and Every Entry Point

Nidorina is about to have her biggest TCG moment since the Jungle set.

The 30th Celebration Wave 2 Elite Trainer Box launches October 2, and it includes Nidorina MEP 101 as its exclusive foil promo. That makes her the only evolutionary middle form in the entire 30th Celebration product line to receive standalone promo status. It also raises a question collectors of the Nidoran family have been sitting with for a while: where does this line actually stand in 2026?

Here is the full picture, from the promo math to the Jungle holo to the plush shelf.

The Wave 2 ETB Promo: Nidorina MEP 101

Nidorina MEP 101 is a Mega Evolution Promos card, numbered 101 in the ME promo series. It ships sealed inside the 30th Celebration Wave 2 Elite Trainer Box at launch.

The ETB itself lists at $179.95–$216.00 across independent sellers. The promo is already available as a standalone single from $3.07 at secondary market storefronts. The entire price difference between the ETB and the next-cheapest format (the Booster Bundle at $79.99) is the accessories insert and the nine booster packs: the Nidorina promo is not the reason to buy the ETB.

For collectors who want MEP 101 without the ETB commitment, the sealed single market is already priced and available. For collectors opening the Wave 2 ETB for its nine 30th Celebration packs, the Nidorina promo is a bonus, not the value driver.

Team Rocket's Nidorina: The Current Set Connection

Nidorina also appears in the current Destined Rivals sv10 set as Team Rocket's Nidorina 115/182, a Darkness-type Common priced at $0.20–$0.50 in the secondary market. It is a playable card with no premium, part of the Team Rocket Pokémon framework built across the set alongside Team Rocket's Nidorino and Team Rocket's Nidoking.

This means Nidorina currently holds two concurrent TCG appearances: a $0.20 common in the active set and a promo arriving with the Oct 2 ETB. Neither is an ex card. Nidorina has never received a V, VMAX, VSTAR, or ex designation in any English SV or SWSH main-series booster set.

That gap defines where to look for the collector ceiling: not in modern booster boxes, but in the vintage era.

The Jungle Holo: Nidoqueen 7/64

Nidoqueen's primary collector card is the Jungle set holo, numbered 7/64. Released in 1999 as part of the second English TCG expansion, it is a 90 HP Stage 2 with the Jungle Fever Poke-Power and a double-cost Scratch attack.

$21.00 USD

Unlimited Nidoqueen 7/64 runs $17.99–$49.99 across current storefronts. The 1st Edition print carries a distinct 6x premium floor.

The 1st Edition stamp is the entire price difference. The card art, the holo treatment, the HP, and the attacks are identical across both print runs. Collectors prioritizing the Jungle holo without the 1st Edition premium can enter at $17.99–$24.99 in NM condition.

Graded 1st Edition copies above PSA 9 carry no open-storefront listing right now.

Nidoqueen also has a non-holo print at 23/64 in the same Jungle set, currently $10–$11. This is the completionist entry point for collectors building the full Jungle common-to-holo run.

Between Eras: FRLG and Base Set 2

After Jungle, Nidoqueen's next holofoil appearance is the EX FireRed & LeafGreen set (2004), as card 9/112. It is a Stage 2 with the Jungle Fever Poke-Power carried across from the Jungle card, updated for the EX era with higher HP and a revised attack suite.

$32.25 USD

FRLG 9/112 lists at $32.25 from multiple sellers. That is a notably narrow price band for a Kanto holo from 2004: multiple storefronts have converged on the same ask, which usually signals the raw market has reached equilibrium. The card has no PSA 10 comp visibility in open listings right now.

Base Set 2, the 2000 reprint set, includes Nidoqueen as 12/130 using the Jungle holo art with a white border. It is available around $33.33 from independent sellers, priced similarly to FRLG 9/112 despite a four-year difference in release dates. The Base Set 2 ceiling is strictly aesthetic: the same card art, different set symbol, slightly different holo pattern.

Nidoqueen also appears in the Legendary Collection set (2002) as 32/110 at $14.99, giving collectors a reverse-holo version. The Legendary Collection is the only English WotC-era set to feature reverse-holo cards, and many WotC-era Pokémon have a Legendary Collection reverse-holo that is their only reverse treatment from that era.

The Plush Tier

The Pokémon Fit format is the primary plush option for both Nidorina and Nidoqueen. Nidoqueen's Pokémon Fit plush measures 14x14.5x15cm and is the original Pokémon Center Japan licensed product, distributed internationally via importers.

Current pricing for Nidoqueen Fit runs $21.00 at Ichiba Japan, $23.83 at Japan Figure Store, $27.00 at Goose Gaming, and $30.00 at Poke Merch Market. The entire $9 spread is importer margin: the plush is identical across all four storefronts. The Ichiba Japan $21.00 listing is the current floor.

ToyCartUSA lists the Pokémon Center Sitting Cuties Nidoqueen at $52.93. Sitting Cuties use a rounder, seated pose format versus the Pokémon Fit's proportionally accurate posture. They are different products at different price tiers, not competing versions of the same item.

The Collector Picture

Nidorina's 2026 position is unusual. She holds two concurrent Team Rocket-adjacent TCG cards: the $0.20 common in Destined Rivals and the MEP 101 promo arriving with the Wave 2 ETB on Oct 2. Both are under $12 on the open market.

Neither gives her a new collector ceiling.

Nidoqueen's ceiling has not moved since FRLG. No ex, no V, no VMAX, no VSTAR has been printed for Nidoqueen in any English SV or SWSH main-series booster set. The Jungle holo 7/64 in 1st Edition at $127.35 is the practical ceiling for an in-stock raw copy.

Graded copies above PSA 9 sit outside the open market entirely.

For the promo: the Nidorina MEP 101 Wave 2 ETB exclusive is available as a sealed single for $3.07. If you want the card, you can buy it for less than a pack of Destined Rivals commons. If you want the ETB, you are buying it for the packs and the accessories, and the Nidorina is a bonus.
