Keldeo Collector's Guide 2026: BW EX Cards, Crown Zenith GG07, and the White Flare SIR
By Dexhaul Team · September 16, 2026
Keldeo is one of the most affordable Mythical Pokémon to collect in the TCG right now. The entry-level EX card from 2012 sits under a dollar raw, the Crown Zenith Galarian Gallery holofoil lands around $19, and the Japanese White Flare SIR tops out near $74. That is a full four-tier price ladder from a single character with no V, VMAX, or ex card in any English Scarlet and Violet set.
That gap in modern coverage is actually what makes Keldeo interesting. Its TCG footprint is narrow and well-defined, which means collectors can complete a meaningful Keldeo collection without chasing dozens of prints across a decade of sets.
The Boundaries Crossed Era (2012): Where the EX Cards Live
Keldeo-EX entered the TCG in Boundaries Crossed (November 2012) with two prints in the same set. The standard EX (49/149) is an Ultra Rare Holo. The Full Art (142/149) uses the same stamped-silver border template introduced by Mewtwo-EX earlier that year.
Keldeo-EX 49/149 was a competitive staple in 2012–2013 Standard. It ran alongside Blastoise BCR in what became one of the defining decks of that format, using Rush In to reset status conditions while Blastoise pumped energy onto the field. The card saw multiple reprints in the BW-era Black Star Promos, which partly explains why the raw price has dropped far below $1 for copies today despite the original competitive relevance.
The Full Art (142/149) is a separate story. Full Art EX cards from the BW era carry a raw-to-graded premium that far outpaces the standard versions, and the Keldeo Full Art holds around $105 raw in near-mint condition. The spread between 49/149 (under $1 raw) and 142/149 ($105 raw) inside the same set is one of the widest you will find for a non-starter, non-Mewtwo character from this era.
The XY Promo Gap: Keldeo Without a Set Home
After Boundaries Crossed, Keldeo received several Black Star Promo prints through 2013–2016 but was largely absent from mainstream set releases. The XY-era promos include XY118, a Holofoil promo distributed through Mythical Collection boxes and promotional events. These promos were not pullable from any booster pack, which keeps supply tighter than a standard-print single.
The XY118 promo commands $29–$46 depending on condition and seller, sitting above the Crown Zenith GG07 in price despite having less visual impact. The reason is provenance: promo cards distributed outside booster packs have smaller populations, and Keldeo's collector base skews toward completionists who want every distinct print.
Keldeo received no dedicated Sword and Shield-era card with premium art treatment. No V, no VMAX, no Galarian Gallery equivalent in Evolving Skies or Silver Tempest. Crown Zenith's GG07 in early 2023 broke that drought.
Crown Zenith GG07: The Best Current English Entry
Crown Zenith's Galarian Gallery was a standalone premium set inserted into booster packs at roughly one-in-three-packs frequency, using illustrated full-bleed artwork rather than the standard card template. Keldeo GG07/70 depicts the Colt Pokémon mid-battle on water with a dramatic illustrated background, which is a notable visual step up from any previous English Keldeo print.
At $19 raw, GG07 is the current sweet spot for Keldeo collectors. It is the last dedicated high-art English Keldeo card before the Japanese White Flare set introduced the SIR tier, and it has the most photogenic artwork of any Keldeo card in English print.
Graded copies of GG07 have not reached the heights of GG-rarity cards from other characters, which keeps the entry cost low. For a collector who wants one strong Keldeo card on display, this is the straightforward answer.
White Flare (SV11W): The Modern Japanese SIR
The Japanese set White Flare (sv11w) contains two Keldeo ex prints: the base Double Rare at 030/086 and the Special Illustration Rare at 167/086. The base Double Rare currently lists at $1–$4 across English-language sellers, while the SIR reaches $74 for near-mint copies.
The 18-74x spread between the base and SIR within the same Japanese set is consistent with the pattern seen across other SV-era SIR cards, but the absolute ceiling ($74) is lower than the SIR premiums on Eevee-family characters or Legendary Pokémon from the same wave. Keldeo's SIR sits at a price point that is accessible for SIR-tier collecting without the $150–$250 premiums attached to higher-demand characters.
White Flare has not received an English localization announcement as of this writing, which means the SIR is currently Japan-only. English collectors sourcing it are buying through import channels, which is reflected in the wider price range across sellers.
Sealed Collecting: The Mythical Collection Box
For sealed collectors, the Mythical Pokémon Collection Box released in 2016 included a Keldeo foil promo alongside two booster packs. Original retail was approximately $12.99. Today, sealed copies list between $623 and $749 depending on condition and seller, reflecting the general premium that sealed 2016-era promotional boxes command after nearly a decade of attrition.
The sealed premium here has nothing to do with the promo card's standalone value or the pack contents. It is purely the scarcity of factory-sealed 2016 promotional retail product. There is no graded equivalent for sealed boxes, so the value is exclusively tied to the sealed condition itself.
A Note on Keldeo's Game Lore
Keldeo is one of the four Swords of Justice Mythical Pokémon introduced in Pokémon Black and White 2. In Ordinary Form, it has a brown horn. Resolute Form, with the longer purple-tipped sword horn, can only be obtained in Black 2 and White 2 by visiting Pledge Grove with all three other Swords of Justice (Cobalion, Terrakion, and Virizion) in your party simultaneously.
This group-collection mechanic for unlocking a form change is unique to Keldeo among all Mythical Pokémon.
The TCG uses Resolute Form's visual design for most of its high-art Keldeo prints. Crown Zenith GG07 depicts Keldeo in Resolute Form in motion, which is the card most closely aligned with the form players would recognize from the games.
The Complete Price Ladder at a Glance
For collectors deciding where to start, here is the full range as of September 2026.
- Keldeo-EX 49/149 BCR standard Ultra Rare: $0.68–$11.99 raw
- Keldeo-EX 142/149 BCR Full Art: around $105 near-mint raw
- Keldeo (GG07/70) Crown Zenith Galarian Gallery: $19 raw
- Keldeo (XY118) Black Star Promo: $29–$46 depending on condition
- Keldeo ex (167/086) White Flare SIR (Japanese): $74 near-mint
- Mythical Collection Box (sealed, 2016): $623–$749
The widest gap in the ladder is between the GG07 ($19) and the BCR Full Art ($105). A collection that includes both the most accessible print and the premium high-art Boundaries Crossed entry covers the most ground for under $130 combined.
Collectors focused on modern high art who want to stay in English territory stop at GG07. Those comfortable with Japanese imports have the White Flare SIR as the current ceiling at $74. The BCR Full Art is the natural pick for anyone building a collection anchored in the competitive era when Keldeo-EX actually saw tournament play.
