The Lumiose City Mini Tins are in stock now, and Pokémon Legends: Z-A launches October 16, 2026.

These are the first TCG mini tins tied to the Z-A game, featuring characters from the Lumiose City setting across four confirmed designs. They contain two Mega Evolution Series booster packs, an art card, a sticker sheet, and a digital code card.

The random assortment floor is $11.49. Character-specific listings top out at $15.61.

Here is what you need to know before you buy.

What You Get in Every Tin

Each Lumiose City Mini Tin includes two booster packs: one from Chaos Rising (ME06) and one from Perfect Order (ME03). Both are active Mega Evolution Series sets currently in print, so the packs are from two different points in the ME lineup rather than duplicates from the same release.

Perfect Order (ME03) covers an earlier set of Pokémon, while Chaos Rising (ME06) is one of the most recent ME releases. Pulling one of each gives you a broader range of potential cards from the ME series in a single tin purchase.

Beyond the packs, every tin also includes an art card. This is a non-playable illustration print featuring the tin's character, distinct from the booster card pool. The sticker sheet and digital code card round out the contents.

The metal tin itself is the display piece. Each design features unique Lumiose City artwork, and the tin format is standard mini tin sizing, stackable and shelf-displayable without additional cases.

The Four Confirmed Character Designs

Sellers have confirmed four character-specific designs: Emboar with Inkay, Meganium, Gallade, and Salamence. A fifth design rounds out the display, but no seller listing has named it at the time of writing.

Meganium is the Grass-type starter finale from Johto, the second generation. Its TCG ceiling sits in the Neo Genesis era, where the Meganium 10/111 holo from 1999 commands collector premiums. The Lumiose City tin is its most accessible current sealed format.

Pokemon TCG Lumiose City Mini Tin featuring Gallade

Gallade carries the most direct Kalos connection of any confirmed design. Mega Gallade is unlockable specifically in Pokémon X and Y, and it returns in Legends: Z-A, making Gallade the only character in this tin set with a Mega Evolution tied to the Lumiose City region.

Pokemon TCG Lumiose City Mini Tin featuring Salamence

Salamence is the Hoenn Dragon-type pseudo-legendary, with strong collector appeal across Dragon-type collectors who build beyond just Dragonite and Charizard lines. The Emboar and Inkay pairing on the fifth confirmed tin design signals a cross-regional dynamic: Emboar is the Unova Fire starter, while Inkay is a Kalos squid Pokémon, linking two regions on one piece of artwork.

Random vs. Character-Specific: The Price Math

The floor for a random-assortment tin is $11.49 at itzdemzTCG. Most random listings from active US sellers land between $11.99 and $13.95.

$11.99 USD

Character-specific listings from Zatu Games are $15.61 for each named design. The premium to guarantee your preferred art is $3.62 to $4.12 over the random floor, a 30–36% gap.

That is the narrowest character premium of any current mini tin line. The 30th Celebration Mini Tins launched with random tins at $13–$14 and character-specific listings ranging $19–$25, a spread over 40% at launch. Here, the gap between picking any design versus picking yours is under $4.50.

If you have a specific character in mind, the Gallade or Salamence designs are the strongest targets for collectors interested in the Z-A game tie-in. If you just want to open packs and see what you pull, random assortment at $11.99 is the practical buy.

Does the Display Box Save You Money?

Poke-Collect offers a confirmed set of all five tins for $64.95.

$64.95 USD

That works out to $12.99 per tin. Some random-assortment singles list at $12.99 individually, so the set-of-five does not deliver a meaningful bulk discount.

The reason to buy the display set is completeness: all five character designs in one order, sealed together, without managing individual listings across multiple sellers. If you want fewer than five tins, singles are the better math at virtually every price point.

The MHDEALSPLUS full collection display at $119.95 prices at approximately $24 per tin. That format is priced for sealed display presentation, not for opening.

Why These Characters in a Lumiose City Product?

None of the four named Pokémon are Kalos natives. Emboar is from Unova, Meganium from Johto, Gallade from Sinnoh, and Salamence from Hoenn.

The cross-regional mix makes sense within the game's mechanics. Legends: Z-A is set in a historical Lumiose City and brings Pokémon from multiple regions into the city as part of its story. The tin lineup reflects that mechanic directly: the characters on these tins are the non-native Pokémon appearing in Lumiose City, not the Kalos residents.

Gallade is the exception that proves the rule. As a Sinnoh Pokémon by origin, it follows the same visiting-Pokémon logic. But Mega Gallade is a Kalos evolution form, unlockable in Kalos-region games and confirmed for Legends: Z-A.

Every other tin design is a visiting character. Gallade is the one with a Mega form rooted in Lumiose City itself.

The Emboar and Inkay pairing reinforces the cross-regional theme visually. Inkay is a Kalos native (#686). Placing it alongside Emboar on the same tin artwork puts a Unova starter next to a Kalos Pokémon on a single piece, which is an accurate picture of how Lumiose City works in Z-A's setting.
