Victini in 2026: The Mythical Pokémon Now Headlining a 30th Celebration Battle Deck
By Dexhaul Team · August 31, 2026
Most Mythical Pokémon appear in illustration collections. Victini is about to headline a Battle Deck.
That is the lead story for Victini collectors in 2026. The Victory Pokémon, Pokémon #494 from the Unova region, has a longer TCG history than most players remember. It also has pre-orders live right now for a 30th Celebration Battle Deck.
This guide covers what Victini is, where it has appeared in the TCG across three distinct eras, what plush and collectibles are available today, and how the upcoming 30th Celebration Battle Deck fits into the picture.
What Makes Victini Different
Victini is a Psychic/Fire-type Mythical from Generation V. It was introduced in Pokémon Black and White (2010 in Japan, 2011 globally) as the first Pokémon in the National Pokédex to be listed before the regional first-route Pokémon of its generation.
That is not an accident. Victini sits at #000 in the Unova regional Pokédex, a deliberate design choice to reflect its lore. Official Pokédex entries state it brings victory to any Trainer who befriends it.
That guaranteed-victory framing is unusual for a Mythical and has made it a consistent fan favorite even outside event-distribution cycles.
Like all Mythicals, Victini was not available through normal gameplay. Early distributions were event-only, which kept its cards at a premium and established collector value before its TCG card count grew.
Victini in the Pokémon TCG: Three Eras Worth Knowing
Victini first entered the TCG with the Noble Victories expansion in November 2011. That set gave it multiple prints at once: a standard holo, a common version for gameplay, and a Full Art rare that stood out as one of the more sought-after cards in the set at the time. Noble Victories was a strong Black and White expansion, and having multiple Victini prints in one set established it as a collector-worthy subject immediately.
The Scarlet and Violet era brought a different kind of attention. The Unova Victini Illustration Collection, released as part of the SV10.5 wave in 2025, paired a Full Art foil promo card with four booster packs and an oversized foil promo. That format is consistent with how The Pokémon Company has treated fan-favorite Mythicals in the modern era: give them a dedicated small product rather than burying them in a large set.
The collection is available at multiple price points. ToyCartUSA has it at $99.95; Poke Swiss lists it at $45.00. The price variance reflects the secondary market, not a difference in what you receive.
For high-end collectors, CakeHoarder Games currently has a Japanese Black Bolt single listed as the Red Victini at $650.00. That card is from SV11B, a Japanese high-class set notable for alternate-art prints. It is not a product to chase through sealed product; it is a targeted buy for set-completers who want the top-tier modern Victini card in their collection.
The 30th Celebration Battle Deck: Why This Is Different
Victini getting a Battle Deck is not the standard Mythical treatment.
Mythicals typically appear in illustration collections or promo packs tied to film or event releases. Battle Decks are competitive-adjacent products: a 60-card ready-to-play deck built around a headliner, sold at a lower price than an ETB.
Charizard, Gardevoir, and Miraidon have headlined Battle Decks. Mythicals almost never do.
The 30th Celebration set is changing that. Merchant pre-orders confirm a Victini ex Battle Deck exists as part of the 30th Celebration lineup. The Wave 1 battle decks feature Espeon ex and Umbreon ex, releasing September 16 alongside the main set.
Victini ex appears in what sellers are calling Wave 2, with most listings pointing to October 2026. The Pokémon Company has not formally announced a Wave 2 release date; the October timeframe comes from merchant pre-orders, not official confirmation.
MHDEALSPLUS has the set of two (Victini ex and Zeraora ex) at $69.95. Senpai Manga Shop lists the individual Victini deck at $58.00. Both are pre-orders.
The set-of-two makes sense if you want both decks for teaching or mirror matches. The individual deck is the move if Victini is the only target.
For collectors, the Victini ex card inside is the main draw. Whether the deck includes a full-art or alternate-art version of the headliner will not be confirmed until official product reveals closer to launch.
Victini Plush in 2026
Victini has a consistent plush presence that does not require event hunting.
The Pokémon Fit line includes a Victini (#494) at $19.99 from Collector Store LLC. This is the small-format, true-to-artwork style that the Fit line is known for: seated pose, soft fill, no accessories. It is the lowest-cost way to add Victini to a plush shelf and works well as a companion piece alongside the TCG cards.
The Sanei All Star Collection PP74 is the larger format option at $34.99 from JBK International. Sanei's All Star line runs around 9 inches and uses high-quality embroidery for facial details. The PP74 Victini is one of the better-constructed entries in the line, and its larger size reads well on a shelf next to other All Star Collection plush.
Neither requires a Pokémon Center account or event access. Both are available through independent sellers now.
How to Approach a Victini Collection in 2026
The entry point depends on what you are building toward.
If you want a TCG-focused Victini collection and your budget is under $50, the SV10.5 Unova Victini Illustration Collection from Poke Swiss at $45.00 is the most logical place to start. It gives you a dedicated promo card plus booster pack value, and it is a self-contained product rather than a random pull from a larger set.
If the 30th Celebration Battle Deck is your target, pre-ordering now rather than waiting is the safer move for a product at this price point. Battle Deck production often lags demand in the weeks after launch, especially for sets tied to anniversary releases. The individual Victini ex deck at $58.00 (Senpai Manga Shop) or the set of two at $69.95 (MHDEALSPLUS) are both available now.
For plush collectors, starting with the Fit plush at $19.99 gives you a low-risk entry that covers the character accurately. Adding the Sanei All Star Collection PP74 at $34.99 creates a natural two-size shelf pair for under $55 combined.
The Black Bolt Red Victini single at $650.00 is a different category entirely. That is a card for collectors who have already completed the accessible tiers and want the top-end Japanese alternate art. It is not a starting point; it is a capstone.
