Pokémon TCG Scarlet & Violet Temporal Forces Booster Box SV05 · $246.99 USD

The Temporal Forces Booster Display Box contains exactly 36 packs of 10 cards each, and nothing else.

It is the fifth English Scarlet & Violet set (SV05), launched on March 22, 2024. The Pokémon Company does not publish a suggested retail price for the Booster Display format. Secondary market prices ranged from $215 to $503 USD across independent sellers as of October 2026.

The set centres on Ancient and Future Paradox Pokémon from the Scarlet and Violet games. Each pack can yield standard Pokémon ex, Ancient or Future type cards, and reverse holos, with Special Illustration Rares (SIR) and Hyper Rares at the top of the pull ladder. Key chase cards include Gouging Fire ex SIR, Raging Bolt ex SIR, Iron Crown ex SIR, and Iron Boulder ex SIR.

What's inside the Booster Display Box

The Booster Display is a wholesale-style case, not a retail box with accessories. It ships 36 individual booster packs and nothing else: no sleeves, no dice, no coin, no code card beyond what appears inside each pack.

MSRP and current prices across every Temporal Forces format

The Pokémon Company does not set a published MSRP for the Booster Display Box in the United States. Every other Temporal Forces format had an official MSRP at launch, shown below alongside current secondary market prices observed on October 9, 2026 from independent sellers on DexHaul.

At secondary market prices, the Booster Display Box runs roughly $6–$14 per pack depending on the seller. That is above the ETB's effective cost at MSRP, though at retail the ETB's per-pack value includes the sleeve and accessory bundle. On the secondary market, the ETB's 9 packs cost $12–$16 each when valued against its current asking price: the Booster Display Box becomes the better per-pack deal once you pass the 18-pack half-box range.

The ETB is the better choice for a player who needs the accessories. The Booster Display Box is the bulk-opening option: 36 packs with no extras, aimed at collectors trying to complete the set or resellers pulling singles.

The Booster Bundle format sits at the opposite end, trading per-pack value at MSRP for a lower barrier to entry. See the ETB vs Booster Bundle comparison for a breakdown of trade-offs that apply across SV-era sets.

The Japanese origin: two sets in one

Temporal Forces combined two separate Japanese releases into a single English set. Wild Force (SV5M) focused on Ancient Paradox Pokémon, while Cyber Judge (SV5R) focused on Future Paradox Pokémon. Both Japanese sets launched on February 2, 2024, about seven weeks before the English SV05 release date of March 22, 2024.

This split explains the two ETB variants. The Iron Leaves ex ETB reflects the Cyber Judge (Future) side of the set, while the Walking Wake ex ETB reflects the Wild Force (Ancient) side. Collectors choosing between them are, in effect, picking a thematic preference: the machine-like Future Paradox Pokémon or the ancient restorations.

There is no Japanese equivalent of the English Booster Display Box for this set; Japanese booster boxes cover only one of the two halves at a time. A Japanese Wild Force booster box yields only Ancient-themed pulls, while a Cyber Judge box skews Future. The English Booster Display Box is the only single-box format that contains the full merged 162-card main set plus secret rares.

Who should buy the Booster Display, and who should skip it

Buy it if you want to complete the set or open a large volume of Temporal Forces packs in one session. At bulk quantities, the Booster Display Box is the only format that offers a chance at every card in the 162-card main set plus secret rares across a single sealed unit.

It also appeals to collectors who resell singles, since no other retail format provides this pack count in one purchase.

Skip it if you are new to the TCG, buying as a gift, or want to try the set before committing. The ETB is the right entry point: it includes accessories, costs a known MSRP, and features a single themed variant (Iron Leaves or Walking Wake) that makes a cleaner gift or first-pull experience. The Booster Bundle at 6 packs is the lowest-cost way to sample the set's pulls without buying into a box.

Also skip it if authenticity is a concern when buying from an unfamiliar seller. The guide to spotting fake Pokémon products covers what to check on sealed booster products before purchase. The Booster Display Box, being a distributor case rather than a retail pack, has fewer consumer-facing authentication features than an ETB or blister.

Frequently asked questions

How many packs are in the Temporal Forces Booster Box?

36 packs. The official product name is "Booster Display Box," but it is widely sold as a "Booster Box." Each pack contains 10 cards.

What is the MSRP of the Temporal Forces Booster Display Box?

The Pokémon Company does not publish a suggested retail price for the Booster Display format. Secondary market prices from independent sellers ranged from approximately $215 to $503 USD as of October 2026.

What is the difference between the Iron Leaves and Walking Wake ETBs?

The box art and theme differ: Iron Leaves ex is a Future Paradox Pokémon (from the Cyber Judge Japanese set), while Walking Wake ex is an Ancient Paradox Pokémon (from the Wild Force Japanese set). Both ETBs contain 9 packs from the same English SV05 set with the same card pool.

Is Temporal Forces the same as Wild Force or Cyber Judge?

Temporal Forces is the English combination of both. The two Japanese sets (Wild Force SV5M and Cyber Judge SV5R, both released February 2, 2024) were merged into a single English release on March 22, 2024. A Japanese Booster Box covers only one half; the English Booster Display Box covers both.

What are the chase cards in Temporal Forces?

The top Special Illustration Rares (SIR) in the set are Gouging Fire ex, Raging Bolt ex, Iron Crown ex, and Iron Boulder ex. These are the highest-rarity Paradox Pokémon ex cards in the set and carry the most secondary market demand.
