Delta Reign Build & Battle Box (ME06): Contents and Prerelease Promos (2026)

The Pokémon TCG: Mega Evolution: Delta Reign Build & Battle Box ships with four ME06 booster packs, a 40-card ready-to-play deck (one of four configurations tied to the set's star Pokémon), and one alternate-art foil promo card. Prerelease events at local game stores begin October 24, 2026. Full retail lands November 6, 2026.

Each of the four deck variants comes with a different foil promo. The promo cards are alternate-art versions not found in standard booster packs, making the Build & Battle Box the only way to obtain them outside of trading.

The set: Mega Evolution: Delta Reign

Delta Reign is the sixth entry in the Mega Evolution set series (ME06). The central Pokémon is Mega Rayquaza ex, the legendary sky ruler whose emerald-storm theme runs through the set's artwork and flavor. Three other Mega Pokémon share the spotlight: Mega Golurk ex, Mega Malamar ex, and Mega Golisopod ex.

The Build & Battle Box's four deck configurations are each built around one of these four Pokémon. When you open the outer sleeve, you get the deck themed to that Pokémon along with that Pokémon's foil promo card.

Which deck configuration you receive is determined by the printing inside the outer sleeve. You cannot choose at retail; it's a fixed assignment, not a random draw.

The four promo cards

Each deck variant comes with the alternate-art foil promo for its featured Pokémon. Based on the four Pokémon named in the official product descriptions for Delta Reign, the four promo options are:

• Mega Rayquaza ex
• Mega Golurk ex
• Mega Malamar ex
• Mega Golisopod ex

These are alternate-art foil cards. The same Pokémon appear in standard ME06 booster packs, but the alternate-art versions with the promo stamp are only available through the Build & Battle Box. That stamp distinguishes them from in-pack pulls and makes them a distinct collectible.

If you want all four promos, you need four separate Build & Battle Boxes, one of each configuration. There is no way to select a specific configuration at a prerelease event; the box you receive is whichever one the store hands out at your seat.

Prerelease events: what to expect

Prerelease events for Delta Reign run from October 24, 2026. Each registered player receives a Build & Battle Box at the door. You open it on site, build a 40-card deck from the contents (the ready-to-play deck plus your four booster packs), and play in a small tournament format.

The prerelease deck format uses 40 cards and four Prize cards instead of the standard 60/six configuration, as the official Pokémon TCG organized-play rules describe. It's intentionally lower stakes than a full tournament, which makes prerelease events accessible for players who are new to competitive play or just want to try the new set early.

Prerelease entry typically costs $25–$45 depending on the store. The cost covers the Build & Battle Box itself, so even if you skip the games, you leave with the same product you'd buy at retail.

Retail Build & Battle Box vs prerelease entry

The physical product is the same either way: four packs, one deck, one promo, one tip sheet. The difference is how you get it and when.

At a prerelease event (from October 24), you pay the store's entry fee and play the games. At retail (from November 6), you buy the box at your local card shop, game store, or through an independent seller.

Prerelease gives you the box two weeks early and adds the games, community, and the chance to pull a Mega Rayquaza ex SIR before most other players see the set. Retail is simpler: you pick up any of the four configurations when they're available at your preferred seller.

FAQ

What is in the Delta Reign Build & Battle Box?

Four Pokémon TCG: Mega Evolution: Delta Reign booster packs, a 40-card ready-to-play deck built around one of four Mega Evolution Pokémon, one alternate-art foil promo card matching that deck's theme, and a tip sheet.

What are the four promo cards in the Delta Reign Build & Battle Box?

The four featured Pokémon for ME06 are Mega Rayquaza ex, Mega Golurk ex, Mega Malamar ex, and Mega Golisopod ex. Each deck configuration comes with the alternate-art foil promo for its corresponding Pokémon.

When is the Delta Reign prerelease?

Prerelease events begin October 24, 2026 at participating local game stores. Additional prerelease events run through the first days of November ahead of the full November 6, 2026 retail launch.

Can I choose which promo card I get at a prerelease?

No. The store assigns Build & Battle Boxes to players, and you receive whichever configuration they hand you. If you want a specific promo, buying individual retail boxes is a more reliable path than attending a prerelease and hoping for the right deck variant.

Are the Delta Reign Build & Battle Box promos the same as in-pack Delta Reign cards?

No. The promo cards are alternate-art foil versions with a prerelease stamp. The same Pokémon appear in standard booster packs, but the promo version with the stamp is unique to the Build & Battle Box and cannot be pulled from regular packs.

When does the Delta Reign Build & Battle Box go on sale at retail?

November 6, 2026, the same date as the full Delta Reign set release. Pre-orders from independent sellers are open now at various price points ahead of that date.

What is the MSRP for the Delta Reign Build & Battle Box?

An official MSRP for ME06 has not been confirmed in sources available at time of writing. Recent Build & Battle Boxes from the Scarlet and Violet series carried an MSRP of $14.99. Pre-order prices from independent sellers observed in October 2026 range from approximately $28 to $75 USD depending on the seller and wave.
