Paldea Evolved Build & Battle Stadium (2023): Contents
By Dexhaul Team · October 8, 2026 · 6 min read
The Paldea Evolved Build & Battle Stadium is a two-player box for the Scarlet & Violet Paldea Evolved (SV02) set.
It contains 2 Build & Battle Boxes, 3 additional SV02 booster packs, Basic Energy cards, and shared accessories. It released June 23, 2023, two weeks after the Paldea Evolved set launched on June 9, 2023 (pokemon.com product gallery).
That works out to 11 booster packs total: 8 from the two included B&B Boxes plus the 3 bonus packs. Each B&B Box also adds a 40-card semi-random deck and one of four possible foil promo cards.
What's inside the Paldea Evolved Build & Battle Stadium
Here is every item in the box. The Stadium is essentially two standalone Paldea Evolved Build & Battle Boxes packaged together with bonus packs and shared accessories.
| Item | Qty | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Paldea Evolved Build & Battle Box | 2 | Each contains a 40-card deck, 4 booster packs, and 1 foil promo (see below) |
| Foil promo card (per B&B Box) | 2 | One of four options: Baxcalibur, Tinkaton, Murkrow, or Pelipper |
| Additional Paldea Evolved booster packs | 3 | Standard SV02 packs, same as sold individually |
| Basic Energy cards | Yes | Shared between both players |
| Accessories | Yes | Damage counters, status markers, and a coin |
The 40-card decks are semi-random, drawn from a pool of possible prerelease decks for SV02. Both players get a complete deck so they can start battling immediately after opening.
The four promo options span Baxcalibur, Tinkaton, Murkrow, and Pelipper. Each B&B Box contains one at random, so two players opening together will sometimes pull the same promo and sometimes different ones.

MSRP and price per pack
Paldea Evolved (SV02) launched in June 2023. Like other SV-era Build & Battle Stadiums, the MSRP was set at launch and the product is no longer actively manufactured. Current market prices observed on October 8, 2026 reflect aftermarket supply from independent sellers.
| Product | MSRP (at launch) | Packs included | MSRP per pack | Observed (Oct 8, 2026) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Paldea Evolved B&B Stadium | See pokemon.com | 11 | Listed at launch | Varies by seller |
| Paldea Evolved B&B Box (each) | $14.99 | 4 | $3.75 | $65.00 USD observed |
| Paldea Evolved ETB | $49.99 | 9 | $5.55 | $250.00 USD observed |
| Paldea Evolved Booster Bundle | $29.99 | 6 | $5.00 | $50.00 USD observed |
The B&B Box MSRP of $14.99 is confirmed by tcg.pokemon.com. At that price, the B&B Box offered the lowest per-pack cost of any single-pack-count Paldea Evolved product at launch, making the Stadium a strong value for two players at MSRP.
How it compares to other Paldea Evolved formats
The Stadium exists specifically for two-player play. It is not a pack-efficient format compared to buying two B&B Boxes separately, but the bonus 3 packs and shared accessories make it a single-purchase convenience for a group opening.
| Product | Packs | Decks | Promos | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Paldea Evolved B&B Stadium | 11 | 2 | 2 random | Two players opening together |
| Paldea Evolved B&B Box | 4 | 1 | 1 random | Single player; prerelease event kit |
| Paldea Evolved ETB | 9 | 0 | 1 Pikachu full-art promo | Collector; no deck included |
| Paldea Evolved Booster Bundle | 6 | 0 | None | Pack-only buyers |
The ETB includes a full-art Pikachu promo and 9 packs, making it the collector format of choice. The Stadium delivers more total packs but replaces the ETB's fixed promo with two randomized B&B promos.
Release timeline
The Paldea Evolved set (SV02) released June 9, 2023. The Build & Battle Stadium followed two weeks later, a standard gap for the SV-era Stadium product format.
| Date | Event | Source |
|---|---|---|
| May 26, 2023 | Paldea Evolved prerelease events begin (B&B Box distribution at stores) | tcg.pokemon.com |
| June 9, 2023 | Paldea Evolved (SV02) full set release date | tcg.pokemon.com |
| June 23, 2023 | Paldea Evolved Build & Battle Stadium release date | pokemon.com |
The two-week gap between the set release (June 9, 2023) and the Stadium (June 23, 2023) is standard across the SV era. Players could open B&B Boxes at prerelease events two weeks before the set officially launched, giving them a head start with the SV02 card pool before the Stadium arrived.
Who it's for, and who should skip it
The Paldea Evolved Build & Battle Stadium is for two players who want to sit down and battle immediately using SV02 cards. Neither player needs to bring anything: the box ships with two complete decks, shared energy, and accessories.
It is less suited to collectors. There is no guaranteed promo, the decks are semi-random, and 11 packs is a modest opening relative to a booster box. Collectors who want SV02 exposure with a defined promo will find the Paldea Evolved Elite Trainer Box better suited to that goal.
Skip it if you only want packs.
The Paldea Evolved Booster Bundle delivers 6 packs in a straightforward format without decks or accessories you do not need.
A gift angle for the holidays
For Q4 gift-giving, the Stadium works well as a shared gift for two people who play together. The self-contained format means no extra purchases are needed to start playing. See the Pokémon 2026 Holiday Gift Guide for more multi-player gift options across all budgets.
