Not every Pokémon Center exclusive Elite Trainer Box is the same product.

The Mega Evolution series has produced a PC ETB for every set from ME01 onward. Their secondary-market listings tell very different stories: ME02 Phantasmal Flames sits at $374, while ME03 Perfect Order is at $124.99. Both are older, exclusive, and sealed.

With ME06 Delta Reign listing its PC exclusive ETB at $281 (pre-order), this is a good moment to understand what drives the difference and what the historical range tells you about this product category.

What the Pokémon Center Exclusive ETB Actually Is

The standard Elite Trainer Box for each Mega Evolution set ships through conventional retail channels: hobby shops, online retailers, and international distributors. The Pokémon Center exclusive ETB ships only through official Pokémon Center storefronts, in limited quantities, with a distinct box design and at least one exclusive promo card not found in the retail version.

That last point is the collector-facing difference. The retail ETB and the PC ETB contain the same booster packs. The premium is for the box art, the exclusive promo, and the supply restriction.

For ME06 Delta Reign specifically, the Delta Reign PC ETB also includes a bundled acrylic display case. Independent merchant listings at $281 reflect that bundled configuration, not just the ETB alone.

How ME01 Through ME05 Are Trading Right Now

The clearest way to understand the ME PC ETB category is to look at what each set's exclusive ETB is actually listed for by independent merchants today.

ME01 Mega Evolution

The inaugural set produced two PC ETB variants: Mega Gardevoir and Mega Lucario. Both are currently listed in the $229–$240 range from multiple independent merchants. ME01 launched the English Mega Evolution TCG format, and both Mega Gardevoir ex and Mega Lucario ex are flagship cards with ongoing collector demand across the series.

ME02 Phantasmal Flames

This is the outlier. The ME02 PC ETB is listed at $374 from sealed specialist merchants.

The gap is almost entirely explained by Lugia VSTAR. ME02 contains the Lugia VSTAR alt art and secret rare, which drive the set's pull desirability above every surrounding set. Exclusivity reinforces supply limits on an already scarce configuration.

It is not a template for what ME PC ETBs generally do.

ME03 Perfect Order

ME03 sits at $124.99, the lowest PC ETB listing across the current ME series. It is also older than ME04 Chaos Rising, which sits at $158.

Age alone does not drive PC ETB pricing. ME03 has a narrower chase card profile than Chaos Rising's Mega Greninja ex SIR, which affects demand for everything in the set, including the exclusive box.

ME04 Chaos Rising

At $158, the Chaos Rising PC ETB is trading above ME03 and well above ME05 Pitch Black ($137–$155). Chaos Rising benefits from the Mega Greninja ex SIR at $200+ as the primary pull anchor. That card gives buyers a specific reason to want more Chaos Rising product, including the exclusive variant.

ME05 Pitch Black

ME05's PC ETB lists at $137–$155 depending on the seller. Darkrai ex SIR at $230 is ME05's flagship chase, but Darkrai is a narrower collector base than Greninja and the Lugia cards. The PC ETB is available and not dramatically above its retail siblings at this point in the set's life.

What the ME03 vs ME04 Gap Tells Collectors

This is the key pattern: ME03 is older than ME04, both were equally exclusive at release, yet ME03 PC ETB is cheaper today.

The difference is set desirability, not exclusivity. PC exclusivity sets a supply ceiling. The demand side comes from which cards the set contains and which characters drive collector appetite.

An ETB labeled "Pokémon Center Exclusive" does not carry a guaranteed premium floor independent of the set's content. The ME PC ETB category rewards knowing the set, not just the label.

ME06 Delta Reign: The PC ETB at $281

The Delta Reign PC ETB is the most expensive ME PC ETB at the pre-order stage, listed at $281 from independent merchants. It sits significantly above ME01's launch-window price and well above where ME03–ME05 settled.

Two things are different about this listing. First, it includes a bundled acrylic display case. No previous ME PC ETB included a case as standard configuration, and that changes the product bundle.

Second, ME06 features Mega Rayquaza ex as its flagship card. Rayquaza carries a broader collector base than most ME set headliners. Mega Rayquaza's canonical XY/ORAS form has strong recognition across TCG players and display collectors alike.

The Japanese M6 Storm Emeralda release already shows the demand ceiling for the set's top pulls: the Mega Rayquaza ex SIR (095/076) trades at $25–$61 in Japanese raw form, and the SIR (110/076) graded CGC 10 is listed at $479–$700 from sealed specialists. Those cards are not in the PC ETB. But the PC ETB exists in the same pull ecosystem, and Rayquaza-driven search intent for ME06 product is already visible in current listings.

At $281 pre-order, the ME06 PC ETB is pricing in both the acrylic case bundle and the Rayquaza demand premium. Whether the English release confirms those expectations depends on whether the English ME06 pull rates and card pricing track the Japanese M6 pattern.

How to Actually Read a PC ETB Listing

When evaluating any ME PC ETB, the three questions worth answering are straightforward.

First: what is the set's primary chase card and how broad is the collector base? ME02 answers with Lugia VSTAR and a wide base. ME03 answers with a narrower window, and the $374 versus $124.99 gap reflects that directly.

Second: what does the PC ETB include beyond the retail version? For ME06, the acrylic case is a real addition. For earlier sets, it was box art and one exclusive promo.

Third: is the pre-order price at or below the expected post-launch ceiling for the set's content profile? ME06 at $281 is a significant commitment for a set that has not yet released in English. Comparing it against the Japanese pull data and the ME04 Chaos Rising precedent (which has a similarly broad-appeal headliner in Greninja) gives a more calibrated reference than comparing it to ME02's Lugia-driven peak.
