Delta Reign ETB: Buy the Retail Box Now or Wait for the Pokémon Center Exclusive?
By Dexhaul Team · September 23, 2026
The Delta Reign retail ETB is live at $89.95–$149.99 across multiple sellers right now. The Pokémon Center exclusive ETB has not listed yet, but based on the ME series pattern, the listing window is expected to open very soon.
If you need to decide today, here is the short answer. Players and budget collectors should order the retail ETB at the current floor. Display-focused collectors who specifically want the PC version should hold off until the official listing, then decide based on MSRP.
The full decision depends on four variables: what you plan to do with the box, how much you value the PC exclusive packaging, whether the acrylic case matters to you, and your tolerance for waiting. This guide breaks each one down.
What the retail ETB contains
The standard Delta Reign Elite Trainer Box includes nine booster packs from the set, one foil promotional card, 65 card sleeves featuring the Delta Reign art, 45 standard card sleeves, a coin-flip die, HP damage-counter dice, a competition-legal rulebook, and a deck-builder storage box.
Nine packs is the standard ETB allocation across the Mega Evolution series. Nothing in the retail box is exclusive: the same promo, the same sleeves, and the same nine-pack pull pool exist at every seller from Starter Club Cards ($89.95) up through Moonlight Collectibles ($149.99).
The $60 gap between the $89.95 floor and the $149.99 ceiling for the identical product is purely seller margin. All six sellers with pre-orders currently live are shipping at the same November 6 English launch date.
What the Pokémon Center ETB adds
The Delta Reign PC ETB offers exclusive box art designed for the Pokémon Center release, a distinct sleeve colorway, and adds an acrylic display case to the package. The acrylic case is new to the ME series: prior ME series PC ETBs (ME01 through ME05) did not include one, making ME06's PC version structurally different from any earlier PC ETB buying decision in this line.
The acrylic case matters specifically to display collectors. It is a sealed-product display tool: you keep the ETB inside the case on a shelf rather than opening it. If you plan to open the box and pull the packs, the case is irrelevant to your decision.
Current reseller pre-orders for the PC ETB run $261 without the acrylic case and $276 bundled with it. These are third-party pre-orders, not the official Pokémon Center listing price. The official listing, when it opens, will be the authoritative MSRP.
The acrylic case reseller confusion
One thing worth flagging before you order: the same reseller currently lists two separate PC ETB SKUs.
One is the PC ETB alone at $261. The other is the PC ETB bundled with an acrylic case at $276. This creates a comparison trap if you are shopping across sellers without reading the titles carefully.
Once the official Pokémon Center listing goes live, it will make clear what the PC ETB includes as standard. Until then, verify which SKU you are ordering before checking out.
The price gap and what drives it
The retail ETB floor is currently $89.95. The PC ETB reseller floor is currently $261. That is a $171 gap for what is, at its core, the same nine booster packs.
The premium breaks into two components. The first is the standard PC ETB collector premium that has applied across the ME series: exclusive packaging, distinct sleeve design, limited direct-from-Pokémon-Center allocation. The second is the acrylic case addition unique to ME06, which adds a physical display product not present in ME01 through ME05's PC ETBs.
Mega Rayquaza ex is the headline chase card in Delta Reign. Three versions exist in the set: a regular ex, a Special Illustration Rare, and a full-art variant.
Secondary market demand for Mega Rayquaza ex drives most of the collector interest in Delta Reign sealed product. If Rayquaza is your target, pull rates are identical between the retail ETB and the PC ETB: the nine packs are the same product.
Who should buy the retail ETB now
Buy the retail ETB now if you are a player, a budget collector, or someone who simply wants to open packs on day one.
The $89.95 floor is the cheapest pre-order price for a sealed nine-pack Delta Reign product. EN launch is November 6. Retail ETB pre-order supply is not guaranteed to stay at current floor prices as that date gets closer: ME series products in prior sets have trended up in the two to four weeks before launch as open pre-orders close out.
The retail ETB is also the right call if the PC ETB packaging is not relevant to how you collect. If you do not plan to display the sealed box or store it in an acrylic case, the $171 gap has no return on it for you.
Who should wait for the PC listing
Wait if the Pokémon Center exclusive packaging is important to your collection or if you specifically want the acrylic display case.
The PC ETB listing is expected to open through the official Pokémon Center website in the coming days, based on the ME series historical release pattern. When it goes live, the official MSRP will be visible and you can decide whether the premium is worth it at that price, rather than paying the current reseller pre-order rate.
One practical note: PC ETBs in this series have historically sold out quickly at the official listing price, which is lower than reseller pre-orders. If you want the PC version at MSRP, you need to act within hours of the listing going live. Missing the official window means either paying the reseller premium or waiting for secondary market prices to stabilize after launch.
Waiting also makes sense if you are undecided. Both the retail ETB and the PC ETB ship November 6.
The one scenario where waiting costs you is if the retail ETB floor rises before you order and you end up paying more than today's $89.95 for the standard version.
The short version
Delta Reign is a strong set. The Mega Rayquaza ex pull targets are real, the EN launch date is confirmed for November 6, and both ETB versions are available to pre-order today.
Players and budget openers: the retail ETB at $89.95 is the call. Display collectors: wait for the official PC listing.
If you are not sure which describes you, ask whether you would keep the box sealed on a shelf for more than a year. If yes, the PC version is worth evaluating at official MSRP. If no, the retail ETB gives you the same nine packs for less.
