Helioptile and Heliolisk Collector's Guide 2026: Pokémon Fit, Sitting Cuties, and the Kalos Electric Line Before Z-A

Helioptile and Heliolisk are the rare Kalos line where both stages have received full plush coverage across two distinct tiers: Pokémon Fit for both Helioptile and Heliolisk, plus Sitting Cuties for both.

That is four separate SKUs for a non-starter, non-legendary line from Generation 6. It puts them alongside the most plush-represented Pokémon in the catalogue, without the name recognition of Pikachu or Gengar to explain it.

With Pokémon Legends: Z-A launching October 16 and set entirely in Lumiose City, Kalos, this Electric/Normal line is worth understanding before the spotlight shifts.

The Kalos Line: Design and Typing

Helioptile (#694) and Heliolisk (#695) share the Electric/Normal dual typing, which is one of the rarest type combinations in the franchise. Out of the full National Pokédex, only a handful of Pokémon carry that pairing natively, making both stages type-collecting targets alongside the character appeal.

Helioptile evolves into Heliolisk using a Sun Stone. No level threshold, no friendship condition: just a Sun Stone. The evolution produces a notable visual shift, from the small pale lizard with fin-like frills to the tall, broad-frilled desert runner with a dramatic ruff spread across the neck.

Both are introduced in Pokémon X/Y as native Kalos Pokémon. Legends: Z-A returns the story to Lumiose City, making both members of this line part of the in-lore geography of the October 16 launch window.

The Pokémon Fit Starting Point: Both Stages, Under $25

The Pokémon Fit line is a Pokémon Center Japan exclusive series: palm-sized, weighted plush designed to stand upright on a flat surface without a base or support. Each Fit plush is a single-character sculpt, highly accurate to the official art, and not available from Western retail channels.

Both Helioptile and Heliolisk have Fit plush in active in-stock listings.

Collector Store LLC carries both at $24.99 USD each. Ichiba Japan lists the Heliolisk Fit at $22.00 USD, a $2.99 gap on an identical product with the only difference being which importer ships it to you.

Buying both Fit plush from the same seller puts the combined cost at $44–$50 USD depending on the seller. That is a complete two-stage line representation, two tiers below the Sitting Cuties ceiling, for under $50.

Sitting Cuties: The Premium Tier for Both Stages

The Sitting Cuties line is a Pokémon Center Japan premium series: seated poses, larger than the Fit line at approximately 5.5 inches, and designed for display shelf presence. Both Helioptile and Heliolisk have Sitting Cuties versions in the current market.

The Heliolisk Sitting Cuties price spread is notable. ToyCartUSA has it at $52.49, while Poke Merch Market lists the same Pokémon Center Japan plush at $30.00.

That is a $22.49 gap on the identical product, driven entirely by importer margin.

Buyers willing to compare listings before checking out can close that gap. At $30, the Heliolisk Sitting Cuties is priced competitively with the Helioptile Fit at $24.99, making the two-tier collection far more accessible than the $52.49 listing alone suggests.

The Helioptile Sitting Cuties at $51.14 (ToyCartUSA) sits at the higher end. A four-plush complete set at best available prices runs approximately $24.99 (Helioptile Fit) + $22.00 (Heliolisk Fit) + $51.14 (Helioptile SC) + $30.00 (Heliolisk SC) = around $128 combined, at current floor pricing across sellers.

The 8-Inch Format: A Third Plush Option

Outside the Pokémon Center Japan lines, there is a third format: the standard licensed 8-inch plush.

Toynk Toys carries the officially licensed 8-inch Helioptile plush at $39.99 USD. At 8 inches it is larger than the Sitting Cuties format, and the construction is distinct from the Pokémon Center Japan products. For display contexts where scale matters, this fills a size gap between the compact Fit and the premium Sitting Cuties line.

The TCG Arc: Illustration Rares, No Modern ex

Neither Helioptile nor Heliolisk has received a GX, V, VMAX, VSTAR, or ex card in English through October 2026. The entire English TCG ceiling for both stages sits at Illustration Rare level.

Heliolisk's highest English SV-era card is the 177/167 Illustration Rare from SV06 Twilight Masquerade, currently at $6.00 USD. The above-ceiling number (177 of a 167-card set) confirms the Illustration Rare designation. This is the top of the modern Heliolisk TCG arc in English, not a GX Full Art or an ex SIR.

The ME02 Ascended Heroes set adds another above-ceiling Heliolisk: the 229/217 Illustration Rare, which Key Items Collectibles carries at $2.24 USD. Two distinct Illustration Rare treatments for Heliolisk across the SV era, and neither exceeds $6.

Standard rares fill the rest of the ladder. Heliolisk 37/106 Holo Rare from XY Flashfire sits at CA$1.00 from 401 Games, and Heliolisk 44/145 Rare Reverse Holo from Guardians Rising is CA$0.75.

The entry point for this TCG arc is under a dollar.

The absence of a V or ex card is the defining collector fact for this line. It means the TCG arc is accessible and relatively flat, with no single card commanding a premium that distorts the rest of the collection. The plush market carries the collector weight that a V-era or ex-era card would otherwise generate.

The Legends: Z-A Window

Pokémon Legends: Z-A launches October 16, 2026. The game is set entirely within Lumiose City, the capital of Kalos, making every native Kalos Pokémon part of the thematic backdrop of the launch.

This matters for the plush market for a specific reason. Legends: Z-A does not guarantee new merchandise for every Kalos Pokémon, but it does put Kalos names in collector search traffic for the next 6–8 weeks.

Helioptile and Heliolisk already have Pokémon Fit and Sitting Cuties in stock now.

The window before a regional game launch is when existing plush for native Pokémon tends to move. After the game ships, the conversation shifts to in-game characters and new merchandise announcements. The current in-stock position, with four plush SKUs across two tiers and both stages available from multiple importers, represents as clean a buying window as this line is likely to have for some time.

If Legends: Z-A produces new Helioptile or Heliolisk merchandise, this is also the last moment to build the pre-Z-A collection position before any new product either supplements or displaces current listings. What is in stock now is the complete pre-launch record for this line.
