Snorunt, Glalie, and Froslass Collector's Guide 2026: Mega EX, Twilight Masquerade IR, and Every Entry Point

Snorunt's evolutionary line is one of only two in Generation 3 that branches based on gender, and those two branches have never converged in collector value.

Glalie is the standard path: any Snorunt that levels up to 42 becomes the blocky Ice-type, and it received its own Mega Evolution in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. Froslass requires a female Snorunt and a Dawn Stone, and the Ice/Ghost dual typing it brings to the table separates it from Glalie in both the competitive metagame and the TCG tier ladder.

Froslass wasn't added to the franchise until Generation 4's Diamond and Pearl, three years after Glalie debuted in Ruby and Sapphire. That gap shaped the entire card history: Glalie had two decades of prints before Froslass found her above-set moment, and both characters are now in stock at accessible price points from independent sellers worldwide.

The Vintage and EX Era: Glalie's Early Prints

Glalie entered the TCG in 2004 with EX Hidden Legends, the set from the WOTC-era transition period that pulled together many Generation 3 Pokémon collectors still hadn't tracked down. Current listings sit at $5.99 for that vintage EX Hidden Legends copy.

These early prints don't carry premium artwork or competitive history. Their value is completionist: Glalie collectors who want every card era represented start here.

The EX era run also establishes the baseline that makes BREAKthrough's Mega treatment legible. Without the 2004 entry, the 2015 Full Art doesn't have an arc to close.

The Mega Era: BREAKthrough 2015 and What It Created

XY BREAKthrough (2015) gave Glalie two cards: Glalie EX at 155/162 and M Glalie EX at 156/162, with the Full Art version of the Mega sitting at 156/162 as well. That Full Art is the collector ceiling for the entire Glalie line in English.

Current storefront prices put the Full Art between $12 and $20 raw, which is a notably accessible position for a Mega Full Art from the BREAKthrough set. The standard Glalie EX non-Full-Art (155/162) starts at $1.50 in lightly played condition, making the spread from entry EX to Full Art Mega EX quite tight compared to characters with premium collector demand.

Glalie's Mega Evolution in the games is a physical attacker with Refrigerate, converting Normal-type moves to Ice. That game context gives the Mega card grounding even for collectors who research lore before buying.

Japanese sellers are stocking a Glalie ex card from a modern Mega Evolution set at $157.99 raw. That's the premium ceiling for Glalie in the current Japanese release window: the Japanese Mega Evolution TCG series introduced Glalie ex as a featured character, giving collectors a modern-format entry point well above anything English BREAKthrough reaches.

The SV Era: Froslass and Snorunt Finally Get Above-Set Treatment

Neither Froslass nor Snorunt received an above-set Illustration Rare in English until 2024.

Snorunt 188/182 in SV04 Paradox Rift is numbered 6 above the 182-card set total, placing it in the IR designation. Current prices are $10.76 to $12.00 raw, and the card features the chunky Ice-type in a style consistent with the rest of the Paradox Rift above-set subset. It's the highest English rarity Snorunt card as of September 2026.

Froslass 174/167 in SV06 Twilight Masquerade is numbered 7 above the 167-card set total. The card is an Illustration Rare featuring a wintery, ethereal composition that leans into the Ice/Ghost dual typing, and current prices sit between $8.32 and $14.00 raw across multiple active sellers. That's one of the cheaper IR price points for a Stage 1 Pokémon in the SV era, where most Illustration Rares for popular characters run $20 and above.

There's also a Froslass ex at 003/182 in Paradox Rift priced at $0.86. It carries the ex designation without the premium demand, making it the cheapest route to having a modern Froslass ex card in a binder.

The Plush Tier: All Three Stages Have a Fit Plush

It's uncommon for a branching evolutionary line to have every stage represented in the Pokémon Fit series.

Snorunt Fit plush lists at $17.00 from ichiba-japan.com. Glalie Fit sits at $19.00 from the same seller, appropriate given the larger subject. Froslass Fit also lists at $19.00, meaning the two final-stage options are identically priced despite the entirely different character profiles they attract.

The Snorunt plush is a particular standout: basic stage Pokémon Fit entries often go scarce faster than final stage versions because fewer are produced for the domestic market. The $24.99 listing at Collector Store for the Japanese Center exclusive version vs. $17.00 at ichiba reflects two different product versions in the market, not one inflated seller.

Which Branch to Prioritize?

Glalie's collector floor is lower and its ceiling is sharper.

The BREAKthrough run gives you Glalie EX at $1.50 (lightly played), Glalie EX Full Art at $4.00, and M Glalie EX Full Art between $12 and $20. That's a four-tier ladder spanning $1.50 to $20 within a single set release, and the Glalie Fit plush adds a fifth option at $19.00 for collectors who also track merchandise.

Froslass suits collectors drawn to Ghost-type characters, seasonal demand windows, and SV-era Illustration Rares at current floor pricing. The Twilight Masquerade IR at $8.32 is the obvious starting point, and the Froslass ex at $0.86 is a useful filler for binder completionists who want the ex designation without the IR cost. Ghost-type characters carry demonstrated demand spikes in the September to November window, and Froslass's Ice/Ghost typing positions it in both categories simultaneously.

Snorunt is the shared entry for both paths. The Paradox Rift IR at $10.76 is its current rarity peak, and the Fit plush at $17.00 is the merchandise equivalent. Both are available across active sellers with no significant wait.
