Golurk and Golett Collector's Guide 2026: The Sealed-Energy Robot, a TCG-Only Mega, and Every Entry Point

The most striking price story in the ME06 Storm Emeralda set has nothing to do with Rayquaza. Two slots above Mega Rayquaza ex SAR 110/076, you'll find Mega Golurk ex SAR 109/076 at roughly $13.

Both cards carry the same Special Art Rare rarity designation. Both were pulled from the same booster packs on the same day.

One sells for $479. The other sells for $13.

The gap is character demand, not rarity.

That context matters before you buy either card. It also tells you something about where Golurk and Golett sit as a collector target in 2026: undervalued in the TCG, quietly consistent in the plush and merchandise space, and now home to one of the most unusual cards in the current Mega Evolution series.

The Character: An Ancient Automaton Powered by Sealed Energy

Golurk (#623) is a Ghost/Ground type introduced in Pokémon Black and White in 2010. It evolves from Golett at level 43. Both are artificial constructs built by an ancient civilization, and both run on an energy source sealed inside their bodies by a locking mechanism on the chest.

That detail is the key to Golurk's design logic. According to its Pokédex entries, the seal on its chest keeps its energy contained. Remove the seal and the energy drains, which stops Golurk from moving.

Golurk can fly. This is unusual for a Ghost/Ground type.

The flight works by igniting energy jets from its hands and feet, essentially converting it into a rocket. The Pokédex describes this as an ancient security protocol: Golurk was created to protect people and Pokémon, and speed of response was part of the design brief.

Golett (#622) is the same design language at smaller scale: a squat automaton with the same sealed-chest energy system, the same Ghost/Ground typing, and the same origin as a construct built by people who are no longer around. Both have active Pokémon Center design representation in the form of Pokémon Fit plush, which places them in a range that has covered nearly every Pokédex entry through coordinated batches since 2018.

Neither Golett nor Golurk has ever received a regional form, a new evolution stage, or a canonical Mega Evolution in any mainline game. That last point is directly relevant to what ME06 did.

The ME06 Story: A Mega Form That Only Exists on a Card

Mega Golurk ex appears in ME06 Storm Emeralda, the Japanese name for the set that releases in English as Delta Reign on November 6, 2026. The Japanese set launched July 31, 2026.

It is the only official Mega Golurk design in Pokémon franchise history.

Golurk had no Mega Evolution in XY or ORAS, which are the only two mainline games to canonically introduce Mega Evolution as a mechanic. The ME06 card isn't a card adaptation of a known game form. It's a new design created specifically for the TCG, in the same category as Mega Zygarde ex (ME03) and Mega Malamar ex (also ME06): Pokémon that received a Mega form in print before a game ever gave them one, or possibly ever will.

The SAR version of Mega Golurk ex (109/076) is the most visually distinct format of the card: full-art illustration, above-ceiling set number, and a scene-based composition rather than a portrait. As a Special Art Rare, it shares a rarity classification with Mega Rayquaza ex SAR 110/076 in the same set. Those two are consecutive numbers in the same rarity tier.

Mega Rayquaza ex SAR trades around $479 as of late September 2026. Mega Golurk ex SAR trades around $13 to $20. The pull rate for each card was identical.

The art treatment is comparable in quality. The only variable is which Pokémon is on the card.

This isn't a criticism of either card. It's just what demand looks like when one character anchors the entire set narrative and the other is a secondary entry most buyers didn't anticipate.

The SR version (093/076) is the Super Rare format: holofoil card with a more standard composition. It trades between $5 and $8 from JP import sellers. The RR (Double Rare) at 033/076 is the base playable version, generally available in the $4 to $6 range.

EN Delta Reign copies will appear after the November 6 launch. JP singles are available now from import sellers.

The English TCG Arc: From BW Era to Evolving Skies

Golurk's TCG history in English is steady rather than spectacular. Its debut coincided with Gen 5 itself: cards appeared in Black and White era sets starting with Noble Victories (2011), which included the first Golurk Holofoil Rare.

Plasma Blast (2013) gave Golurk a solid entry in the Team Plasma arc. Ancient Origins (XY, 2015) included Golurk as part of the early XY expansion run.

The collector ceiling in English, before ME06, is Golurk V 182/203 from Evolving Skies (SWSH07, August 2021). This is the Ultra Rare format: a full-art V card numbered above the main set total. Current prices run $36.60 from Paper Tiger and CA$54.99 from Face to Face Games for the same card, a spread that's pure seller margin on identical product.

Golurk has no VMAX, VSTAR, or ex card in English through the main SV series as of September 2026. The Evolving Skies V remains the modern era ceiling. That creates a clean collector path: the Evolving Skies V as the premium English single, the ME06 SAR as the current special art buy, and the JP Black Bolt holo (129/086, $8 from PokeNinJapan) as a modern SV-era filler.

Plush and Merchandise Entry Points

Both Golett and Golurk have Pokémon Fit plush. This is the Japanese Pokémon Center series that targets compact sitting-pose versions of each Pokédex number.

Golett's Fit runs $17 to $20 from import sellers. Golurk's Fit runs $19 to $30, with the spread reflecting import margin rather than product differences.

Golett has a second format: the Sitting Cuties plush at $52.49 from ToyCartUSA. Sitting Cuties is a distinct line from Pokémon Fit: larger, softer, and more expensive.

The two formats don't overlap in size or construction. Golett having both is a collector advantage the evolved form doesn't currently share.

The Ichiba Japan Pokémon Fit listings for both characters ($17 Golett, $19 Golurk) are from direct import of Pokémon Center Japan product. These are the same plush sold in Japanese Pokémon Center retail locations, shipped overseas by a third-party importer.

There are no Western retail plush products for Golurk or Golett as of September 2026. The collector path runs through Japanese import sellers for both.

Floor: Golurk or Golett Pokémon Fit plush

$17 to $20 depending on character and seller. Both available from Ichiba Japan and Yeti Gaming. This is the most cost-effective single-product way to represent either Pokémon on a shelf.

TCG: Evolving Skies V

Golurk V 182/203 at $36.60 (Paper Tiger) or the CA$54.99 listing at Face to Face Games. The Ultra Rare format and above-set numbering make this the clearest premium English card for the character before ME06 reaches EN shelves in November.

ME06: The TCG-Exclusive Mega

Mega Golurk ex SAR 109/076 at $13 to $20 from JP import sellers. This is the only official Mega Golurk design in the franchise. For collectors who want the ME06 connection without paying Rayquaza premiums, this card represents what may be the most underpriced Special Art Rare in the current set.

Golett ceiling: Sitting Cuties

$52.49 from ToyCartUSA. Larger format than the Fit, different construction. This is the top of the plush tier for the pre-evolution and currently has no Golurk equivalent in stock.
