Zekrom has three distinct collector peaks in fifteen years, and the third one arrived in 2025.

Zekrom (#644) is the Dragon/Electric-type Legendary that anchors Pokémon Black. Its TCG debut came in the Black and White base set in April 2011, where it occupied two of the most sought-after card slots in the set. A decade of collector interest followed in waves: a Celebrations Classic Collection reprint brought its Full Art artwork to a new print run in 2021, and Black Bolt (SV11B, 2025) introduced Zekrom's first Scarlet and Violet era ex card, setting a new ceiling PSA 10 at $1,400.

Each of those three peaks created a separate price tier for the same Pokémon. That layered structure, more than any single card, is what makes Zekrom a collector subject worth mapping in full.

This guide covers the BW era entry points, the reprint arbitrage opportunity, the SWSH bridge card, the 2026 promo, the Black Bolt ceiling, and the Pokémon Fit plush for collectors who want a physical piece without the TCG ladder.

The Black and White Era: Two Distinct Card Slots

The 2011 Black and White base set gave Zekrom two separate entries. The standard Holo Rare 047/114 is the budget pick for BW-era Zekrom collectors: current listings sit at $8.00 raw from Hobbiesville and $8.45 CAD from 401 Games. It is the straightforward entry card, full BW-era holo treatment, and accessible to anyone building a character binder.

The second BW slot is the Full Art 114/114, numbered at the set total rather than in sequence, the WOTC-to-BW era convention for what would later become Ultra Rare treatment. Raw copies currently span a wide range: $36 at The Side Deck, $84.99 at Piece Of The Game, $140 at Space Social, and CA$148 at 401 Games. The spread reflects grading uncertainty, print-run wear, and seller margin.

That price volatility is one of the defining features of BW-era Full Art collecting. The artwork is fixed, but market pricing has not settled to a tight band the way SM-era Full Arts have. Collectors comfortable with condition grading will find the low end of that range much more accessible than the high end implies.

There is also a Zekrom EX 052/113 from BW: Next Destinies (2012) at $9 from Hobbiesville. That card introduced the EX mechanic for Zekrom, and it is currently the cheapest way to own a Zekrom EX name on a card, serving as a second BW-era entry tier between the holo and the Full Art.

The Classic Collection Reprint: Same Artwork, Three Price Points

The 2021 Celebrations set included a Classic Collection sub-set that reprinted the BW-era Full Art 114/114 with updated Celebrations-era foiling. The reprint card carries a different set code but identical artwork.

$15.35 USD

The result is that Zekrom's Full Art exists at three simultaneously active price points: $15.35 for the Celebrations reprint (Game Grid), $36 for the cheapest original raw (The Side Deck), and up to CA$148 for premium raw copies (401 Games). Same illustration, three tiers, separated by print run and collector intent.

For collectors who want the artwork on display without paying original-print premiums, the $15.35 Classic Collection entry is the clearest structural play in the entire Zekrom catalogue. The foil pattern differs slightly from the 2011 original, but the card image is identical.

The SWSH Bridge: Brilliant Stars Trainer Gallery TG05

Between the BW era and Black Bolt, Zekrom received one notable SWSH-era card: TG05/TG30 from Brilliant Stars (SWSH09, February 2022), part of the Trainer Gallery subset.

The TG05 is structurally different from every other Zekrom TCG card. Trainer Gallery cards use a landscape-oriented, trainer-framed format where the featured Pokémon is shown alongside or within a trainer scene, distinct from the square framing used across all BW-era and most SV-era cards. That visual distinction makes TG05 the only Zekrom card that does not look like a Zekrom card in standard binder display.

Current price sits at $17 from Hobbiesville and $19 from Space Social. For a SWSH Trainer Gallery Ultra Rare, that is well below the tier's typical ceiling, and it represents the full SWSH-era Zekrom statement in one card.

Zekrom did not receive a V, VMAX, or VSTAR card during the SWSH era. The Trainer Gallery TG05 is the SWSH ceiling. It shares that distinction with Brilliant Stars, one of the most opened sets in the SWSH period, meaning TG05 supply is healthy and pricing reflects that.

N's Zekrom MEP031: The 2026 Pokemon Center Promo

The most recent Zekrom release is N's Zekrom 031, a 2026 Black Star Promo exclusive to Pokémon Center stores. N is the rival character from Pokémon Black and White, and N's Zekrom is one of several "N's [Pokémon]" promo cards released in 2026 as MEP Black Star Promos.

$131.00 USD

Pricing varies significantly by version. The Pokémon Center-stamped copy runs $131 at Sports Cards Direct and CA$77.60 at 401 Games. An unstamped version is listed at $15 from H-YPE Cards. The stamp marks the card as a direct Pokémon Center exclusive, not a standard MEP retail release, and that distinction alone drives the 8x price gap between the stamped and unstamped copies.

N's Zekrom is the first named-character promo (N + Zekrom) released for this pairing since the BW era ended in 2015. It is also the only 2026-dated Zekrom card currently in the catalogue.

Black Bolt ex: The SV Era Ceiling (SV11B, 2025)

Black Bolt (SV11B) is the Japanese counterpart to White Flare (SV11W), the two split sets that comprise the SV11 series released in 2025. Zekrom received its first SV-era ex card in Black Bolt, fifteen years after its BW debut. The set was designed around Unova Pokémon, making Zekrom the natural headline anchor.

The catalogue shows three Black Bolt Zekrom ex tiers. The Japanese Super Rare (SR) 161/086 is available at $9.18 from TSURUOKAYA, making it the accessible SV-era Zekrom entry. The English Ultra Rare 158/086 is under $10 INR (PokéTCG). Moving up the ladder: the English Special Illustration Rare (SIR) or equivalent numbered 174/086, the above-set-total tier, sits at A$446.49 from PokeBox Australia. The raw "Black White Rare" 172 is listed at $625 from Triple M Trading Cards. PSA 10 of the Black White Rare is at $1,400 from Mojobreak.

The Black Bolt SIR (174/086) at A$446 is the current ceiling for raw, in-hand Black Bolt Zekrom ex. That card places Black Bolt Zekrom among the premium SV-era ex cards for Legendary Pokémon, and the PSA 10 at $1,400 anchors the graded ceiling.

The Pokémon Fit Plush

Outside the TCG, the Japan-exclusive Pokémon Fit Zekrom No.644 plush is the primary physical collectible for the character. Collector Store currently lists it at $24.99 USD, imported from Japanese Pokémon Center distribution.

The Fit series uses a consistent small chibi format. At $24.99 USD imported, Zekrom's plush is priced in line with other Legendary Fit figures. For non-TCG collectors, it is the most accessible Zekrom collectible currently available from independent storefronts.
