What's Inside the Kingambit Illustration Collection
The box ships with four Shrouded Fable booster packs, each containing 10 cards. Shrouded Fable is a special set within the Scarlet & Violet era, themed around Team Rocket, Greninja ex, and Ghost-type lore. Per Bulbapedia's Shrouded Fable entry, the set has a print run focused on Trainer and Supporter cards tied to Team Rocket's comeback in the SV storyline.
Three additional cards come alongside the packs. The headliner is the Kingambit SVP #130 promo. The other two are Cosmos Holofoil reprints of Pawniard (148/197) and Bisharp (149/197), both originally from the Obsidian Flames set (SV3). These are not new Shrouded Fable cards: they are existing Obsidian Flames prints given a Cosmos Holo treatment and bundled here specifically to complete the Pawniard evolution line.

The Kingambit SVP #130 Promo Card
Kingambit SVP #130 is an illustration rare-style promo exclusive to this collection. The artwork uses a flat, woodblock-influenced composition: Kingambit is rendered in bold outlines against a stylised geometric background, a departure from the painterly approach of most SV full-art promos.
This card is not pulled from Shrouded Fable packs. It exists only inside this box. Secondary market prices for the raw promo have settled in the $8 to $15 USD range as of late 2026, with PSA 9-graded copies listing around $20 to $30 USD.
Kingambit itself is a competitive staple in the Standard format. It appears in several Iron Valiant and future-archetype decks as a disruptive attacker, which keeps the card in active demand beyond casual collector interest.
The Pawniard and Bisharp Foils: An Important Distinction
The two foil cards packaged alongside the promo come from a different set entirely. Pawniard (148/197) and Bisharp (149/197) are Obsidian Flames cards, part of the SV3 set that released in August 2023, a full year before Shrouded Fable.
The Pokémon Company reprinted them here with a Cosmos Holo finish: a silver foil layer beneath the card art that produces a starfield shimmer. Neither card is listed in the Shrouded Fable set card list, so if your goal is to build a complete Shrouded Fable master set, these two foils do not count toward it.
For display collectors, the Cosmos Holo Pawniard and Bisharp are attractive additions to an evolution line showcase. The Cosmos Holo print run for these specific cards does not exist outside this collection, making them mild exclusives in their own right.

Current Market Prices
The Kingambit Illustration Collection released at $21.99 MSRP in August 2024. Two years of secondary market activity have pushed independent seller prices above that original price for sealed copies. The range as of October 2026 sits between $46.00 and $76.50 USD, with the spread explained by seller location, shipping policies, and whether listings are marked pre-order holdovers.
| Seller | Price (USD) | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Hobbiesville | $46.00 | Floor price observed |
| Evolve Card Shop | $55.00 | |
| S4T.store | $73.00 | |
| toysvendor | $76.50 |
The spread above MSRP reflects the collector demand for the Kingambit SVP #130 promo. At $46.00, the floor price equates to about $11.50 per pack from the included booster packs. The Kingambit promo accounts for most of the premium above that pack cost.
Who Should Buy the Kingambit Illustration Collection
Buy it for the Kingambit promo card
The SVP #130 Kingambit is the sole reason to seek out this box specifically. If you collect Kingambit, want a Cosmos Holo Pawniard-line showcase, or play competitive Standard and want a playable copy with distinct art, this collection is the only retail source for that card.
Buy it as a small Shrouded Fable sampler
Four packs give a narrow window into the set without committing to a booster box or ETB. Shrouded Fable has no standalone booster box release: the only retail paths into the set are the Elite Trainer Box, the Booster Bundle (six packs), and small collections like this one.
Skip it if you want a Shrouded Fable master set
The Pawniard and Bisharp foils are not Shrouded Fable set cards. If you are building a complete SV6.5 set, neither card advances that goal. A Booster Bundle or ETB gives more packs per dollar toward the actual set card pool.
Skip it if accessories are the priority
No sleeves, Energy cards, or dice are included. For a new player who needs accessories, the Shrouded Fable Elite Trainer Box is the right purchase. The Illustration Collection is a collector product, not a starter kit.
