Legends: Z-A Drops in 15 Days: The Kalos Collector's Action Plan
By Dexhaul Team · October 1, 2026
Pokémon Legends: Z-A arrives October 16. That's 15 days, and for Kalos collectors the window to move at floor pricing is right now, before launch-week demand reshapes what Kalos merchandise costs.
This is not a general overview of the game. It's a timed action plan: what to buy, where prices are today, and which products are worth locking in before the Oct 16 launch-week hype typically compresses availability and lifts prices on regional merchandise.
Start With the Game Itself
The price spread on Legends: Z-A is meaningful. New physical Switch copies are listing between $53 and $60 USD across independent sellers right now, with used copies as low as $47 USD. The Switch 2 compatible version is available at $69.99 USD from specialty retailers. None of these prices are likely to hold after October 16; demand spikes consistently move secondary-market game prices by $10 to $20 for the first two weeks post-launch.
If you're planning to play the game, buying this week instead of launch week is the single highest-leverage action on this list. The digital version through Nintendo's eShop eliminates the price-discovery risk entirely, but physical editions hold resale value and some include regional retail bonuses. Current stock from Game On Games, Collector Store, and Stateline Video Games is all new sealed at or under $60 USD.
Legends: Z-A is the first mainline Pokémon game set entirely within a single existing city: Lumiose City, Kalos. Every previous main-series Pokémon title has spanned multiple routes, towns, and regions. That single-city design decision has driven unusually deep coverage of Lumiose-specific Pokémon (Furfrou, Hawlucha, Gogoat) in the lead-up to launch, which is already flowing through into early collector discovery for those characters.
Kalos Pokémon Fit Plush: The Pre-Hype Window
The Pokémon Fit line is the most directly trackable collector index for regional launches. When Legends: Arceus launched in January 2022, Hisuian-form and Hisui-native Pokémon Fit plush prices moved upward within the first two weeks post-launch as collector discovery caught up to game hype. Kalos Fit plush are in the same position right now.
CardsHQ is listing the Kalos Pokémon Fit assortment at $17.99 USD, a multi-character listing that covers several native Kalos species as a single import. The full Kalos Fit cast spans every native species from the Kalos regional Pokédex, making it the only Pokémon Fit category where a region-complete plush collection is achievable from a single import market without hunting down discontinued lines.
Individual Kalos Fit plush from Collector Store LLC are listing at $24.99 USD per character for Japanese Pokémon Center exclusive imports. At that price point, Scatterbug, Aromatisse, Litleo, Heliolisk, and Goomy are all available in stock from the same seller, with no separate sourcing needed for the full Lumiose-adjacent cast.
Two Kalos Characters With No ex Card and an In-Stock Plush
Heliolisk is one of the few Kalos Pokémon that has never received a GX, V, VMAX, VSTAR, or ex card in English. Its entire TCG price history sits at the common and uncommon tier, with the ceiling at roughly $3 to $5 for XY-era holos. The Pokémon Fit plush is the primary collector format for Heliolisk right now.
Litleo and its evolution Pyroar are in the same position: no GX, V, or ex card in English, a plush-first collector roadmap, and current in-stock availability via import at $24.99 USD. Litleo has both male and female Pyroar forms; Pyroar is the only Fire-type Pokémon in the franchise where the evolutionary form is gender-dimorphic, with Pyroar's mane structure differing entirely between male and female. That dimorphism makes the line an early candidate for a dual-plush completionist purchase if a Legends Z-A appearance drives merchandise expansion.
Both characters appear in the Kalos regional Pokédex as native species, which means Legends Z-A's Lumiose City setting puts them directly in the relevant game window. Neither has seen a merchandise price spike yet.
The 30th Celebration Connection: XY Artwork and the Knock Out Collection
The 30th Anniversary Celebration TCG set, launched September 16 and heading into its second product wave on October 2, is the closest thing to a Kalos tribute in the current card pool. The set's artwork draws on the full 30-year franchise history, and the Knock Out Collection's exclusive Eevee foil promo sits within the same anniversary arc that celebrates the XY generation alongside others.
The Knock Out Collection at $29.95 USD includes an exclusive Eevee foil promo, a commemorative coin, and two 30th Celebration booster packs. It lands in the Wave 2 window that opens October 2, the same week as Legends Z-A's 15-day countdown begins. For collectors who want both the 30th Celebration arc and Kalos-adjacent product on the same purchase order, this is the natural cross-buy. MHDEALSPLUS has it at the current floor.
The per-pack cost on the Knock Out Collection comes in at roughly $13.50 per pack, which lands between the Booster Bundle ($12.50 per pack) and the ETB Wave 2 ($20 per pack). That mid-tier positioning makes it the entry-point product for collectors who want the exclusive Eevee promo and don't need bulk pack volume.
What Follows: ME06 Delta Reign Lands October 24
Eight days after Legends: Z-A drops, the English release of ME06 Delta Reign arrives on October 24. That is not a coincidence from a collector's perspective. ME06 is the Mega Evolution era set built around Mega Rayquaza ex and the Kalos-adjacent XY competitive era, and it lands in the same fortnight as Z-A's launch window.
The ME06 Delta Reign PC exclusive ETB is already in active pre-order across multiple sellers at $109.95 USD floor. The EN set introduces Mega-form TCG-exclusive designs for Kalos-era Pokémon including Malamar and Golurk, characters that had no Mega Evolution in the games but receive one in the card set. That crossover between the "Mega era" TCG arc and the Kalos setting of Legends Z-A creates a natural two-week buying window. Collectors who pick up Kalos Pokémon Fit plush before October 16, the game on launch week, and ME06 Delta Reign when EN drops on October 24, cover the full Kalos collector arc in one fortnight.
The collector window is open right now. Legends Z-A ships in 15 days, the 30th Celebration Wave 2 arrives in one day, and ME06 Delta Reign EN follows three weeks out. Each of those events independently lifts collector attention on the XY/Kalos generation. Acting before October 16 means buying at current prices rather than launch-week ones.
