Lycanroc Collector's Guide 2026: Three Forms, a Gold Secret Rare, and the Dusk Form Plush Premium
By Dexhaul Team · September 17, 2026
Lycanroc is the only non-legendary, non-Mythical Pokémon in Sun and Moon history that received three distinct GX cards across three different main sets, each featuring a different form.
Midday Form arrived first in Sun and Moon: Guardians Rising (May 2017). Midnight Form followed in Burning Shadows (August 2017). Dusk Form arrived last, via the Hidden Fates Shiny Vault and promos tied to the anime.
Each form has a distinct TCG identity, and each has a distinct plush presence. This guide covers all three tracks and where they stand in 2026.
The three-form split is what makes Lycanroc interesting to collect. Most Pokémon have one card identity per era; Lycanroc has three running in parallel.
The GX Era: Three Forms, Three Collecting Tracks
Guardians Rising (2017) gave Lycanroc its first GX card at 138/145, featuring the Midday Form in Full Art treatment. The same set carried the Gold Secret Rare at 156/145, which is the current collector ceiling for this character. At $123.28 raw at ToyCartUSA, it is priced well above typical non-legendary Gold Secrets from the same era, driven by Lycanroc's sustained collector following from the anime.
The Midday GX Full Art is available at a wide range of prices depending on condition. Knight and Day Games lists it at $6 raw; ToyCartUSA at $28.17. That spread is not unusual for SM-era Full Arts and reflects condition, grading expectation, and margin differences across sellers rather than any meaningful card variation.
Burning Shadows (August 2017) introduced the Midnight Form GX at 136/147 Full Art. This is the version that saw the most competitive play: Midnight Form Lycanroc GX's Bloodthirsty Eyes ability was a staple in several SM-era tournament formats, letting it pull opponent Benched Pokémon into the Active position. The Burning Shadows Full Art sits at $36.27 raw at ToyCartUSA, a modest premium over Guardians Rising due to slightly thinner supply in NM condition.
Team Up (2019) added another Midnight Form GX at 082/181 at $2.95, reflecting the general SWSH and late-SM era supply inflation that pushed older GX singles down after the V card generation arrived.
Why the Dusk Form Has a Separate Collecting Track
The Dusk Form cannot be encountered in the wild in any main-series game.
In Pokémon Sun and Moon, the Dusk Form comes only from a specific Own Tempo Rockruff originally distributed in the Pokémon Sun special edition bundle. Evolving it at dusk produces Dusk Form Lycanroc. No standard wild Rockruff evolves into Dusk Form.
That restriction explains why the Dusk Form has a smaller TCG footprint than the other two. It never had a standard set Full Art GX. Its GX card exists only in the Hidden Fates Shiny Vault as SV67/SV94 at $17.99 (Dazzle Sports Marketing), plus a handful of jumbo promos tied to the anime.
The most recent Dusk Form TCG card in English is the Journey Together Illustration Rare at 166/159.
Journey Together 166/159 is above the set's 159-card total, placing it in Illustration Rare territory. It is the first English Lycanroc card to receive the IR designation and currently lists at $3.24 to $4.00 raw. For collectors wanting a Dusk Form art card without paying Hidden Fates Shiny Vault premiums, it is the obvious current entry point.
Post-GX: V Era and What Carried Forward
Lycanroc V appeared in Evolving Skies (2021) as a Fighting-type V card with Full Art at 096/203. The Full Art currently lists at $1.99 raw, which reflects typical SWSH-era V card deflation for non-chase pulls in a set dominated by Eevee-line Vmax cards.
There is no Lycanroc Vmax, Vstar, or ex card in any English SV main-series set as of September 2026. The collector ceiling above the V tier is the GX Secret Rare at $123.28, with a significant gap between that and everything else. Collectors focused on SV-era modern cards will find the Journey Together IR ($3.24) and the Lycanroc standard 117/197 Journey Together ($0.50) as their only 2025-2026 options in English.
Plush: Which Forms Got What
The plush market follows the same form-based split as the TCG, with one notable asymmetry.
Dusk Form has the deepest plush coverage. The Pokémon fit Dusk Form plush is available from multiple sellers in the $21 to $32 range: Yeti Gaming at $21, Collector Store at $24.99, Mochi Ribbon at $26.38. The Sitting Cuties Dusk Form sits at $51.14 at ToyCartUSA, with a PC-exclusive Pokémon Dolls version fetching $68 from secondhand sellers who acquired it directly from the Japanese Pokémon Center.
Midnight Form is covered by the Pokémon fit at $22 (Ichiba Japan) and the Sitting Cuties at $32 to $51.14 depending on seller. Midday Form does not have a dedicated standalone fit plush in current stock; it appears only as part of multi-figure sets alongside Rockruff and both other Lycanroc forms.
The absence of a dedicated Midday Form fit plush is not a market anomaly. Midday Form is the default form shown in the main-series games and the one collectors encounter most frequently in merchandise art, but in the Pokémon fit lineup, Dusk and Midnight received their own releases while Midday did not get a solo SKU in the current catalog. Collectors who specifically want the Midday Form in plush format are pushed toward the multi-figure sets or older retail stock.
Where to Start Collecting Lycanroc
Under $5
The Journey Together Illustration Rare 166/159 at $3.24 to $4.00 is the sharpest entry: it is the only English Lycanroc card to receive the IR treatment, it features the Dusk Form, and it is above-set-total numbered, carrying the same structural designation as more expensive SIR cards in other SV sets.
Under $30
The Guardians Rising Midday Form GX Full Art 138/145 at $6 to $28.17 raw is the foundational piece for a GX-era Lycanroc collection. The lower-priced raw copies are played condition; NM copies sit at the higher end. The Team Up Midnight Form GX 082/181 at $2.95 adds the second GX form for under $5 combined.
Under $55
The Dusk Form Sitting Cuties plush at $51.14 is the best-value premium plush for this character: it is a Pokémon Center product, it covers the hardest form to source in standalone plush format, and the Sitting Cuties line has not depreciated significantly since release.
Collector ceiling
The Gold Secret Rare 156/145 at $123.28 raw is the top of the Lycanroc TCG ladder for a non-graded card. It commands a price above most non-legendary Gold Secrets from Guardians Rising, reflecting a narrow NM supply and sustained collector demand from fans of the Ash's Lycanroc storyline in the Sun and Moon anime arc.
