Stellar Crown Booster Box (2024): Contents and MSRP

The Stellar Crown Booster Box (officially named the Booster Display Box) contains 36 booster packs, with 10 cards in each pack. The set launched September 13, 2024, as Pokémon TCG: Scarlet and Violet Stellar Crown (set code SV07). MSRP at launch was $143.64, or $3.99 per pack.

The expansion introduced the Stellar Tera type to the physical TCG. Four Pokémon ex received Stellar Tera treatments in the set: Terapagos ex (the cover Legendary), Cinderace ex, Lapras ex, and Galvantula ex. A Stellar Tera Pokémon ex has no type weakness printed on the card, because no opposing type is classified as strong against Stellar in the card game.

The set does not include any accessories. No sleeves, no dice, no deck box. Every dollar you spend goes toward booster packs.

Terapagos appears in the set at multiple rarity tiers. The Special Illustration Rare version of Terapagos ex is the primary chase card, joined by Pidgeot ex SIR as a high-demand pull. If you are specifically chasing one of those two cards, buying singles on the secondary market is more efficient than opening a box at current secondary market prices.

MSRP and Price Per Pack

At launch, the Stellar Crown Booster Display Box carried the same MSRP as every standard Scarlet and Violet-era booster display: $143.64, equal to $3.99 per pack. That placed it at a lower per-pack cost than the Elite Trainer Box at MSRP, a fact many buyers miss because they assume the ETB is the better-value format.

The ETB delivers 9 packs plus accessories. Those accessories account for the higher per-pack cost.

If you only want packs, the display box was the more efficient format at MSRP. On the secondary market in October 2026, that math has shifted significantly.

FormatPacksMSRPMSRP per packObserved floor (Oct 2026)
Booster Display Box36$143.64$3.99$234.00
Elite Trainer Box (standard)9$49.99$5.56$138.00
Pokémon Center ETB11$59.99$5.45$169.99

The secondary market floor for the display box (observed October 8, 2026) sits at $234, giving a secondary market per-pack cost of $6.50. That is above the ETB's secondary floor, making single-pack or ETB purchases the better opening strategy for most buyers today.

How It Compares: Display Box vs. ETB vs. Booster Bundle

The Stellar Crown ETB comes with 9 packs plus 65 sleeves, 6 Energy dice, a deck box, condition markers, a coin, and a Terapagos ex promo card. The promo does not appear as a pull in any booster pack. Those accessories are practical from the first tournament session.

The Booster Bundle gives 6 packs and nothing else. For a collector who wants fewer packs without paying for accessories, the bundle is the right comparison.

One format variant worth knowing about: a factory-sealed 18-pack half-display exists for European retail distribution. It is not a US 36-pack box split by a reseller. The Pokémon Company International manufactured these directly for European distributors, which means the sealed 18-pack product you see from European import shops on DexHaul is a genuine official format, produced at the source.

Who It's For, and Who Should Skip It

The Stellar Crown display box makes the most sense if you want the full opening experience: 36 packs at the lowest per-pack cost of any SV07 format at MSRP. It was the logical choice for bulk openers and collectors aiming to pull the Terapagos ex SIR or Pidgeot ex SIR without buying singles.

Skip it if you want accessories. The ETB's 65 sleeves, dice, and deck box are useful from the first game. Skip it too if you are targeting one specific SIR: at secondary market prices today, buying the card directly costs less than the expected pulls needed to hit it.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many packs are in a Stellar Crown booster box?

36 packs. Each pack contains 10 cards.

The Pokémon Company International officially calls this product the "Booster Display Box," though "booster box" is the term most collectors use. Both names refer to the same product.

What is the MSRP for the Stellar Crown Booster Box?

The MSRP at launch (September 13, 2024) was $143.64, equal to $3.99 per pack. This was the standard price for a Scarlet & Violet-era booster display, consistent with sets released before and after Stellar Crown.

What is the Stellar Tera type in the Stellar Crown set?

Stellar Tera Pokémon ex are cards whose Tera type is listed as Stellar. In the video games, the Stellar Tera type is exclusive to Terapagos's Stellar Form. In the TCG, The Pokémon Company gave the Stellar type to multiple Pokémon ex (Terapagos, Cinderace, Lapras, Galvantula), making it a mechanic that spans multiple characters in the card game but not in the mainline games.

Is there an 18-pack version of the Stellar Crown booster box?

Yes. An 18-pack half-display exists for European retail distribution.

It is a factory-sealed product manufactured by The Pokémon Company International for European distributors, not a US 36-pack box opened and split by a reseller. Import shops may stock these as a distinct SKU.
