Crown Zenith Tin (2023): Contents, Promo Cards, and What to Know
By Dexhaul Team · October 12, 2026 · 5 min read
Each Crown Zenith Tin contains one full-art foil promo card, five Crown Zenith booster packs, and a code card for Pokémon TCG Live.
Three versions were released, each featuring one of the Galar region's legendary birds: Galarian Articuno, Galarian Zapdos, and Galarian Moltres. All three launched on March 17, 2023, about two months after the Crown Zenith set itself released on January 20, 2023.
The promo card is version-specific and not available in any Crown Zenith booster pack.

What's Inside the Crown Zenith Tin
| Item | Quantity | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Full-art foil promo card | 1 | Galarian Articuno, Galarian Zapdos, or Galarian Moltres (version-specific; not available in packs) |
| Crown Zenith booster packs | 5 | SWSH12.5 (set code CRZ); 10 cards per pack; includes access to the Galarian Gallery sub-set |
| Pokémon TCG Live code card | 1 | Redeemable in the free-to-play digital game |
The tin comes in three distinct colorways, one per bird. Each version's artwork matches its promo card, so the collector goal is clear: one tin per bird to complete the set.

How It Compares to Other Crown Zenith Sealed Products
Crown Zenith is a special expansion with no English booster box, which makes the tin and the Elite Trainer Box the two primary ways to open a block of CRZ packs. Here is how the main sealed formats stack up.
| Product | Packs | Promo | Extras |
|---|---|---|---|
| Crown Zenith Tin | 5 CRZ packs | Full-art foil Galarian bird (version-specific) | TCG Live code card |
| Crown Zenith Mini Tins | 2 CRZ packs | Smaller art card (5 designs) | Sticker sheet |
| Crown Zenith ETB | 10 CRZ packs | Full-art foil promo (different card) | Sleeves, dice, accessories |
| Silver Tempest ETB | 8 SWSH12 packs | Alolan Vulpix foil promo | Sleeves, dice, VSTAR marker |
The tin sits between the mini tin (cheaper, fewer packs) and the ETB (more packs, more accessories). If you only want the Galarian bird promo card without committing to a full ETB, the tin is the direct path.
The Galarian Birds: Why the Version You Choose Matters
The three Galarian legendary birds are a design unique to the Galar region: each shares a name with its Kanto counterpart but is a completely different type. Articuno became Psychic, Zapdos became Fighting, and Moltres became Dark.
That type change carries into the promo cards. Each tin's full-art foil is version-specific, meaning the Articuno tin ships with a Psychic-type Galarian Articuno foil, the Zapdos tin with a Fighting-type Galarian Zapdos foil, and the Moltres tin with a Dark-type Galarian Moltres foil. None of those promos appears in Crown Zenith booster packs.
For collectors targeting a specific bird, the choice is straightforward. For pack-crackers, the five Crown Zenith packs inside any version give the same access to the 70-card Galarian Gallery subset, which is Crown Zenith's signature feature across every sealed product in the line.
Who It's For, and Who Should Skip It
The Crown Zenith Tin is a strong fit for collectors who want the Galarian bird promo as a display piece without buying a full ETB. The full-art foil is exclusive to the tin, and the artwork is distinctive enough to stand on its own.
It also suits buyers who want a moderate number of Crown Zenith packs. Five packs is meaningful access to the Galarian Gallery without the ETB's higher price point.
Skip it if you already have the Galarian bird promos and just want more Crown Zenith packs. In that case, the Crown Zenith ETB at 10 packs is the more efficient sealed format, though it comes at a higher total price.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do the Crown Zenith Tin packs have the same card pool as regular Crown Zenith packs?
Yes. All five packs in the tin are standard Crown Zenith booster packs with the same card pool as any CRZ pack, including the Galarian Gallery. The tin does not use a reduced or modified pack.
Can you pull Galarian Gallery cards from Crown Zenith Tin packs?
Yes. Every Crown Zenith booster pack has a chance at pulling Galarian Gallery cards alongside the main set's card pool. The Gallery's 70 cards are distributed across all CRZ packs regardless of how you buy them.
Is there a Crown Zenith booster box?
No. Crown Zenith was a special expansion released without an English booster box, which makes the tin, ETB, and booster bundles the primary sealed pack formats for the set.
What is the difference between the Crown Zenith Tin and the Crown Zenith Mini Tin?
The full-size Crown Zenith Tin contains 5 packs and a full-art foil promo card featuring a Galarian legendary bird. The Crown Zenith Mini Tin contains 2 packs, a sticker sheet, and a smaller art card. Different sizes, different promos, different price points.
Are all three Crown Zenith Tin versions still available?
All three versions (Galarian Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres) are available from independent shops on DexHaul as of October 12, 2026. Prices and availability vary by seller.
