ME07 Aura Seeker: Every Format Compared, From $9 to $325
By Dexhaul Team · September 7, 2026
If you only buy one Aura Seeker format, the Wave 2 ETB at $124 is the right choice for most collectors.
That said, ME07 Aura Seeker has more buying options than any prior Mega Evolution set. Pre-orders are live across five distinct formats, from a two-pack Checklane Blister at $9 up to a 36-pack Booster Box at CA$324.99. Choosing wrong means either overspending on packs you did not plan for, or underbuying and paying secondary-market prices later.
This guide covers all five formats side by side, with per-pack math and a decision framework at the end.
What Aura Seeker Is and Why the Format Decision Matters
ME07 Aura Seeker is the seventh set in the Mega Evolution TCG series. Its headline cards are the ex★ (ex-star) rarity: a tier above the Special Art Rare that defined chase cards in ME01 through ME06. The set is led by Mega Lucario Z ex★ and Mega Greninja Z ex★, two long-requested re-interpretations of the most collected non-legendary characters in the series.
Because ex★ cards are new to English collectors, demand is high and allocations are limited. The format you buy determines how many packs you open, what accessories come in the box, and whether you are in Wave 1 or Wave 2 of the pre-order queue.
Format 1: Checklane Blister Bundle (from $9 to $20)
The Checklane Blister is the true entry-level format, though it did not appear in early pre-order roundups.
Pokémon TCG Canada lists single ME07 Checklane Blisters at $9.00 CAD each. Banana Games and Hobby offers a Wave 2 bundle of two blisters for $20.00 USD. Each blister contains one booster pack plus a promo card, giving you a controlled, low-cost way to start pulling ME07 cards before committing to a larger product.
The math: at $20 for two blisters, you are paying roughly $10 per pack on the Banana Games bundle. At $9 per blister from Pokémon TCG Canada, you drop to $9 per pack. Neither is the cheapest per-pack rate across formats, but the blister has a unique advantage: you can buy one, open it, and decide whether the set feels worth a larger investment.
Format 2: Booster Bundle ($49)
The Booster Bundle from Banana Games and Hobby sits at $49.00 USD for Wave 2.
Booster Bundles in the Mega Evolution series typically include six packs. At $49, that works out to about $8.17 per pack, which is a noticeable improvement over the blister rate. If you know you want multiple packs but are not ready to commit to an ETB, the Booster Bundle is the right middle step.
One thing to note: the Bundle does not include the accessories that come with the ETB (card sleeves, dice, collector's box). For pure pack volume at a budget price, it is solid. For the full unboxing experience, the ETB is worth the extra spend.
Format 3: Elite Trainer Box, Wave 1 vs Wave 2 ($111 to $124)
The ETB is where most collectors land, and ME07 has two distinct allocation windows.
Wave 1 ETBs are listed by Gemzy at $111.00 USD. They include an acrylic display case bundled with the box, a detail that is specific to Wave 1 allocations and adds tangible display value for desk collectors. Wave 2 ETBs from Banana Games and Hobby are $124.00 USD, without the acrylic case add-on.
The $13 gap between Wave 1 and Wave 2 is the smallest inter-wave ETB spread seen across the ME series. ME06 Delta Reign Wave 1 ETBs were available at $96 from Mint Sports Cards while secondary-market Wave 2 prices rose noticeably above that. The ME07 gap is tighter, which means the Wave 2 path is genuinely competitive even for buyers who treat the acrylic case as optional.
Per-pack rate: an ETB typically contains nine packs. At $111 that is $12.33 per pack; at $124 it is $13.78 per pack.
Both rates land between the Booster Bundle and the Booster Box.
Format 4: Booster Box, Wave 2 (CA$324.99)
The Booster Box is the highest-volume format and carries the best per-pack rate across all ME07 options.
SKYFOX GAMES lists the ME07 Booster Box Wave 2 pre-order at CA$324.99, with a limit of six units per order. A standard booster box contains 36 packs, putting the per-pack cost at roughly CA$9.03. That beats every other format on pure pack economics.
The trade-off is the total spend. CA$325 is a significant commitment for a pre-release set where ex★ pull rates are not yet confirmed by community data. Booster Boxes make most sense for players who want a full set-completion attempt, or for collectors building a sealed display inventory.
Which Format Fits You
Here is a simple decision framework based on what matters most to you.
If you want to try the set at minimal risk, start with a Checklane Blister at $9. One pack and a promo card lets you evaluate the art direction and card quality before spending more. If you are a dedicated set collector who opens one of everything, the Wave 2 ETB at $124 is the right product: nine packs plus accessories, open pre-order window, and a minor premium over Wave 1 that does not require a timed allocation grab.
If you want the acrylic display case and can act quickly on allocated stock, the Wave 1 ETB at $111 from Gemzy is the pick. The $13 saving relative to Wave 2 is real, and the bundled case adds lasting display value.
If your goal is maximizing pack count within a moderate budget, the Booster Bundle at $49 gives six packs at $8.17 each without the high total spend of a Booster Box. And if you are a serious case-breaker or sealed collector targeting set completion across multiple boxes, the Booster Box at CA$324.99 from SKYFOX GAMES is the only format that gets you there in one order.
All five formats are pre-orders: none ships until the ME07 English release window. Independent seller policies on cancellations and refunds vary, so confirm before committing to large orders.
