Celebrations Pikachu VMAX Figure Collection (2021): Contents and MSRP
By Dexhaul Team · October 12, 2026 · 6 min read
The Gigantamax Pikachu inside this box is not a card. It is a sculptural display piece, and it is exclusive to this product.
The Pokémon TCG: Celebrations Premium Figure Collection: Pikachu VMAX was part of the Pokémon TCG: Celebrations 25th anniversary wave. It shipped in Q4 2021 at a $49.99 MSRP.
The box includes an oversized Gigantamax Pikachu commemorative figure, two exclusive etched foil promo cards (Pikachu V and Pikachu VMAX), 8 Celebrations booster packs, 3 Sword and Shield-era booster packs, and one code card for Pokémon TCG Live. As of October 2026, sealed copies on DexHaul range from $210 to $360 USD across independent sellers.
One thing worth knowing before you buy: the two promo cards are not the Surfing Pikachu VMAX 009/025 or Flying Pikachu VMAX 007/025 from the Celebrations set itself. Those alt-art cards come from inside Celebrations booster packs. The promos here use different Pikachu card art and different card numbers.
If the alt-art VMAXs are your target, you will need to open packs or buy singles directly.

What's inside
Every item confirmed by the official Pokémon gallery page:
| Item | Qty | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Gigantamax Pikachu display figure | 1 | Commemorative sculpture; exclusive to this product; not sold separately |
| Pikachu V etched foil promo | 1 | Promotional card; not found in Celebrations booster packs |
| Pikachu VMAX etched foil promo | 1 | Promotional card; different art and number from Surfing/Flying Pikachu VMAX in packs |
| Pokémon TCG: Celebrations booster packs | 8 | 4 cards per pack; 25th anniversary set |
| Sword and Shield-era booster packs | 3 | Standard 10-card format; current SW&SH sets at time of release |
| Pokémon TCG Live code card | 1 | Digital redemption |
The 8 Celebrations packs each contain 4 cards, yielding 32 Celebrations set cards from the packs alone. The 3 additional Sword and Shield-era packs are standard 10-card packs for 30 more cards. Combined with the 2 promos, total card content is 64 cards across both formats.
MSRP and price per pack
| Price point | Value | Source / date |
|---|---|---|
| Launch MSRP | $49.99 | Pokémon gallery (2021) |
| Observed range (Oct 2026) | $210–$360 USD | Independent sellers on DexHaul, October 12, 2026 |
| Equivalent per Celebrations pack (at $252) | $28.50 / pack | 8-pack basis; Celebrations singles available separately |
Individual Celebrations booster packs list on their own from $18 to $40 on DexHaul at time of writing, observed October 12, 2026. At that range, the 8-pack content alone at secondary prices does not always represent a savings over buying packs directly. The figure and promos are the value drivers at current prices.
How it compares to other Celebrations products
The Celebrations wave launched three sealed product tiers. Here is how this collection sits relative to the Celebrations Elite Trainer Box and the Celebrations Ultra-Premium Collection:
| Pikachu VMAX PFC | Celebrations ETB | Celebrations UPC | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Release | Q4 2021 | Oct 8, 2021 | Oct 22, 2021 |
| Launch MSRP | $49.99 | ~$44.99 | ~$99.99 |
| Celebrations packs | 8 | 10 | 17 |
| Total packs | 11 | 15 | 25 |
| Display figure | Gigantamax Pikachu | None | None |
| Promo cards | Pikachu V + Pikachu VMAX | None | 2 Full Art promos |
| Metal cards | None | None | Base Set Pikachu + Charizard |
| Accessories | Code card | Sleeves, Energy, dice, guide | Pins, coin, code, guide |
The Premium Figure Collection trades pack count for the exclusive figure. Buyers who want the most Celebrations packs should look at the ETB (10 packs) or the UPC (17 packs). Buyers whose priority is the Gigantamax Pikachu display piece have no alternative: the figure does not appear in any other product from this wave.
The Gigantamax Pikachu figure
The figure is the defining piece of this collection. It depicts Pikachu in its Gigantamax form: an oversized sculptural rendition with the classic lightning-bolt tail scaling up into the exaggerated Dynamax silhouette.
Unlike the accessories inside the ETB or UPC, the figure here is a display object rather than a game component. There are no card sleeves or dice. The product is built around the figure as the centerpiece, with the packs and promos as supporting content rather than the primary draw.
It does not reproduce the Surfing or Flying Pikachu variants. The figure uses the standard Gigantamax Pikachu design from the Sword and Shield series, which is distinct from the 25th anniversary alt-art versions in the packs themselves. This is worth noting for buyers whose interest is specifically in the Surfing/Flying Pikachu aesthetic.
Who it's for, and who should skip it
Buy it for the figure and the promos
This is the right pick if your goal is the Gigantamax Pikachu display piece or a sealed 25th anniversary collectible with a prominent visual centerpiece. The etched foil Pikachu V and VMAX promos are exclusive to this product: you cannot get them from booster packs.
Skip it if you want maximum pack count
The Celebrations ETB ships with 10 Celebrations packs versus the 8 here, plus a full set of game accessories. The Celebrations UPC pushes that to 17 Celebrations packs, plus the celebrated metal Base Set reprints. If Celebrations pack content is the priority, either of those products delivers more per dollar at MSRP.
Skip it if you want the Surfing or Flying Pikachu VMAXs
Those alt-art cards (009/025 and 007/025) come from inside Celebrations booster packs, not from the promos in this box. The figure collection's promos use different artwork. To target those specific cards, you need to open packs or buy singles directly.
Check our Celebrations vs Crown Zenith guide for a broader read on which product suits your collecting goals.
For the Q4 gift angle: this collection is one of the more visually striking options from the Celebrations era. The figure photographs well and reads as a clear premium product, which makes it work as a gift for a Pikachu collector who already has the basics.
